The Value Of Simba In The Lion King

In the lion king the values that are important to the society that Simba lives in is that you need to know who you are and what your role is in the “circle of life” as they called it. In the very beginning of the movie when Simba was little and his dad showed him around the kingdom he said that “everything has a place even the antelope and the grass that they eat.” that seemed to be the biggest lesson that his father tried to teach Simba before his tragic demise. Along the way after Mufasa’s death Simba forgot who he was and where he belonged in the world. That was all thanks to his uncle Scar who tricked him into thinking that the death of Mufasa was Simba’s fault. After the deception of Scar Simba met Timone and Pumba. They furthered Simba’s

knowledge of just not caring and forgetting about your past and who you were before. Simba was impressionable in his young age so he adopted their way of life and forgot who he was and who he was supposed to become. He didn't find his way back until an old friend Nala showed up to find out that SImba was alive and grown and he was old enough to challenge Scar. She is the one who convinced him part of the way to go back to confront Scar but he didn't want to face his past because he still felt guilty about his dad's death. It wasn't until Rafiki found Simba and told him that his father was still alive not literally but theoretically inside of Simba. He got to see his father one last time in the clouds before his father vanished but his father's message was to Remember who you are and where you came from and how you were raised that is what made Simba go back to finally face Scar and take back Pride Rock.
