Ever since the dawn of man, we have tried to understand the world around us. We still try to explain how this universe came to be and how we as humans came into existence. Throughout time, numerous different theories have arisen, from the big bang to Christianity and every Roman or Hindu god. Still we have no definite answer to these questions so could it have been purely science that led to our existence, or perhaps a God created us. The big bang is one of the most famous explanations to the creation of our Universe. In this scientific theory, all matter was just one point at the beginning of time. Then it exploded shooting matter and anti-matter out in every direction. Eventually this matter clumped together to create whole worlds and stars. This is a purely scientific theory about the origin of everything but it has its flaws. While we have proven that the universe is expanding at an exponential rate, we are unable to find where it came from. In addition, there is no way to find how this single point of matter formed or where it came from. If you take into account this lack of evidence and proof, we can 't prove that this is how the universe was formed. Another very popular explanation for the formation of our universe is that …show more content…
According to this theory after God created the Earth, he created Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. These were the first humans in the world and over time they gave birth to more humans and our population increased and increased until it became what it is today. Contrary to Evolution, which claims we were formed by random genetic mutations this theory claims we were the product of intelligent design. There are problems with theories claiming intelligent design though. For example, how can you prove that a god formed us? There is no answer in our anatomy and we cannot just ask whatever god we believed created us. Thus, theories of intelligent design cannot be proven
The claims of rationality and the so-called scientific approach of the atheists and agnostics have been debunked. In the coming pages we shall see that both in the creation of the universe, in things created within the universe and in the creation of living beings, an intelligently designed process is going on, and we shall demonstrate that the objections of agnostics and skeptics to this assertion are merely delusions.
In the beginning there was only darkness. For many millions of years this darkness remained. There were no stars, no sun, and no earth. But one day something very special happened. The darkness created light. It was a very small amount of light but it was just enough. The light became the husband of the dark. After a long while both the light and the dark became bored. The light began to insult the dark and the light replied with equally harsh insults. "You are not as beautiful as I!" said the light. "Ha! You are much uglier than I!" said the dark.
Since the beginning of the human race there has been a lingering question as to the origins of man and how all living things acquired their characteristics. The two main theories that arose over time were Creationism and Evolution, both of which provided very distinct answers to this question. Creationism based its answer on the idea of a supernatural power or being that created the entire universe, man and the numerous other organisms that live within it. While, Evolution theorizes that all living things have the potential to change and grow over time into something new and different. So in other words, one theory suggests that humans and all the organisms on Earth are the result of divine design, while the other indicates that they are only the result of environmental adaption and growth. However, as neither theory is without flaw and it is only through close examination that a true understanding of man’s origins can be obtained.
All in all, every culture and religion has their personal beliefs on human civilization and how the earth was produced. The most frequent belief modern day of the first humans, is the story of Adam and Eve. There is a plethora of theories, but none that are one hundred percent accurate. If you ask me, scientist will never know how earth came about and they will never identify who the first humans were. Every “story of creation” is a myth.
For a long time the human races have been leaving in a capsule in which it has been tough that we evolved from monkeys, but with all the technological advance and all the biology breakthrough, great scientists that use to support the theory of evolution and the science field in general have been force to confront an issue that the though they have resolved, the question of the origin of life. Due to the great amount of information like the irreducible complexity system, scientists had to go out looking for an answer to the crucial question of life, and many scientists have come to the same conclusion and result, the theory of evolution do not answer all the question, but what does it? The theory that can answer one of the most important questions in science is calling Intelligent Design. Although many people and scientists do not accept it as the correct answer, when scientists measured the evidence and actual facts of both of the theory is clear to the naked eye that the Intelligent Design provide more data and is more congruent with what science know in the present. Furthermore, Intelligent Design is the correct answer to the question of the origin of life.
In Conclusion, intelligent design is unscientific and religiously based. The theory should not be taught in public schools because it directly confronts religious viewpoints, develops a less understanding of science, and puts an extra stress on educators to teach the subject.
The theories of human evolution may always cause a heated dispute. Each theory presents its own evidence proving its acceptance, but lacks enough evidence to prove the other theories incorrect. All the theories that attempt to explain human existence fall under the categories of creation theory, naturalistic evolution theory, and the theistic evolution theory. The creation theory explains that a certain God created the humans, and evolution does not exist. The naturalistic evolution theory states that evolution is driven by purely natural forces, and is not controlled by any input from a god, goddess, or multiple deities. The theistic evolution is a mixture of both creation and naturalistic theories. The theistic evolution theory states that god created the world and guides the evolution process (Religious Tolerance, 2004).
Talking on both sides of the debate, each side feels as though the other has no scientific reasoning come up with their theory. In reading the article written by Shipman, the evolutionists believe that intelligent design has no concrete evidence on how the world was crea...
The Big Bang is a theory that the universe was created in a very large
Science even proves that there was a divine creator present when the world was first designed and when life first appeared on earth.
Based on scientific beliefs, one is to think we come from a less intelligent species through evolution. There is also the often believed but sadly never proven fact that we could have possibly derived from a higher power that designed our every millimeter. Also possible we started as a single celled organism by a higher power, but not monitored throughout growth into what we are now. Whichever the...
How life arose is a question that is fundamental to both philosophy and science. Responses to it enable one, in turn, to answer such questions as, “Who am I?”, “Why am I here?”, and “How do I make sense of this world?” This secondary set of questions can be answered in a myriad of ways for a variety of reasons, but the answer to the first question has only two responses. As Douglas Futuyuma says, “Creation and evolution, between them, exhaust the possible explanations for the origin of living things” (197). Either we are the product of the chemical and physical laws of nature operating over time, or we have been formed, at least in part, by some supernatural Force or Deity. The acceptance of one of these options as a foundation will determine how one will establish a belief system to determine his place in the world. This is a matter of crucial importance, yet in most biology classes offered at U.C. Davis, we learn that life came from nonlife by strictly natural (as opposed to supernatural) processes. The possibility that perhaps the origin of life cannot be explained by a natural mechanism is ignored, and this is disturbing. For if we limit what explanations we are willing to accept for the origin of life, we could be closing our eyes to reality.
Since the dawn of intelligent man, humanity has speculated about the origins of the universe.
The big bang theory is an attempt to explain how the world began. The big bang theory begins with what is called a “singularity.” This term is used to describe an area in space which defies all the known laws of physics. Singularities are thought to exist at the core of black holes. Black holes are areas of intense gravitational pressure. The pressure is thought to be so intense that matter is pressed together into an infinite amount of pressure. The dense hot mass of the singularity slowly expanded. This process is called inflation. As the singularity expanded the universe went from dense and hot to cool and expansive. Inflation is still continuing on today which means that the universe is continually expanding.
