The Tunnel My unforgettable senior football season was coming to a close. The whole team knew that this was the last game of football we would ever play together. After this game, it would never be the same. I had been waiting my whole life to experience what I was about to face in the next few hours. To me, and to the rest of my hometown, high school football isn’t just a game; it is a lifelong passion. I grew up watching my role models play the same game I was about to play where the football-frenzied town of Mahnomen won four state championships in a row. Since the seventh grade, my team was expected to make it to the state play-offs our senior year, and now we were playing for the state tittle. We didn’t have anybody extremely fast, strong, or even smart on our team. In fact, no senior would go on to participate in college football. We were just a few guys that would never give up no matter what the circumstances. Those guys were my team, like I was the one leading them all into a battle field, even though that was the feeling of half the other guys. My team had been nicknamed “The Cardiac Kids” because of our ability to pull out a victory by one point, which we had done in six games that season. Critics thought a team that could only squeak out so many victories by one point was bound to lose their composure in the play-offs. Throughout the season we had worked towards becoming the team we now were. We were proud of how far we had gotten. The only thing left to do was to play our hardest and to see how well we matched up against the best team in the state. All of this led up to the moment of the State Championship Game. As you can imagine, when Dr. Morgan criticized writing about “The Big Game” I was like, “Oh Crap, now I have to write it all over again.” As you can see, I decided to stay with my original idea, but just focus on it at a different point. Instead of telling what happened, I focus more on why it affected me. Like when I wrote, ”Because of what I learned that moment, I will be able to see when teamwork is needed and how to pursue it. You might not think that this is such an important quality, but this connects with me every day of my life.” I think this helps fit the assignment better.

The short story is about a young boy who challenges himself to go through a tunnel at the beach on his own. My senior year of baseball was quickly coming to an end. I knew the only games we had left were the playoff games. It was the first round of the state playoffs. We were the fourth seed, so we had to play a number one seed. I knew it was going to put our team to the test, but I knew we had a chance to beat them. We had a good last practice before game day, and I felt confident in my team and felt like we were ready for the game.

The rite of passage for 16-year-olds, driving. The question, is allowing them to drive the right thing? Many are coming to the conclusion that the driving age should be increased to decrease accidents on the road. This is not the case, because cars are necessary to some, not all teens are like this, and they can become better.
It was the last season of my football career and it could not have been going better. We were winning games and were having a blast. The team was giving high fives and banging helmets together. We were a true family; growing closer than any team I had ever been with before. I was standing with my teammates as we said the same prayer before our game as we did every week. “Our Father Who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.” The deep, strong voices rang throughout the room sending chills down my back. I loved it.
With shaky knees, I hesitantly made my way up the large white steps. With the back of my hand, I brushed away a few salty tears of relief. The main reason the driving age should be raised, it will be a decrease in car accidents for 16-18 year-olds. Driving is one of the most dangerous things people do on a day to day basis. Teenagers are at a high risk of being in an accident than an older driver. A study show of car crashes during the past two years found a high proportion of newly licensed drivers have serious accidents. Drivers 16-18 are commonly known for speeding, fatigue, alcohol and not wearing seat belts lead to car crashes. More than 5,000 U.S. teens die each year in car crashes. The rate of crashes, fatal and nonfatal, per mile driven for 16-year-old drivers is almost 10 times the rate for drivers ages 30 to 59, according to the National Highway Safety Administration.(.2...)
Some might say that younger drivers ages 16 to 17 are not responsible enough to drive and that the responsibility should be saved for adults. Another reason some might say that the minimum driving age should be raised is teens have not had enough experience yet,since they have had their permit for only 6 months . Lastly, someone might argue is that driving is a deadly everyday action and because teens get distracted easily that should not have this luxury. Though some may disagree with my point of view I know some very mature teens who are being responsible 16 year old
When I was in the sixth grade I was playing football for a scout’s team that I was on. We were on the road playing a much hated Greybull football team. We were wanted to secure an unbelievable season with an undefeated record 9-0. There was only one problem, we had to fight Greybull to cap off our perfect season with a record of 10-0.
Once a child becomes school aged and begins to learn how to read, learning disabilities may become apparent. An example of a developmental learning difficulty that affects 5-17% of school-aged children is called dyslexia (Jordan & Dyer, 2017, p. 161). The goal of this paper is to determine how dyslexia is defined, caused, and diagnosed. Teenagers get experience from receiving their driver’s license because they practice out on the road. Instead of waiting until the age of 18 to drive, teenagers get to familiarize themselves with the different, possible driving situations, rather than being inexperienced at 18. Teenagers get independence from receiving their driver’s license because they do not have to rely on their parents for transportation anymore. They are free to make plans of their own once they receive their driver’s license. Independence is an essential part of growing up to being a responsible adult. Some people say that teenagers should not receive their license at sixteen because they are not responsible, driving is dangerous, and they are more likely to become more distracted than adults. Although these are facts, they do not support the opposing argument. Driving is dangerous, but learning is not. Driving helps teenagers to become more responsible and with time driving also gives the driver experience; experience will reduce the willingness to be distracted while driving. That is why teenagers should be able to receive their driver’s license at
