It’s so controversial because there are more lies than truths about feminism and most believe the lies. Feminism is so controversial because there are stereotypes and there is a lack of information. Feminism in a short phrase is the idea that men and women are equal on all levels, and if you are a feminist, you believe in that idea. There is no right or wrong way to be a feminist as long as you continue to follow that idea, and you must be educated. You must know the main types of feminism, the hot topics and how to get involved, and the truth from the lies. The first thing to know is what the three main “types” of feminism there are. They are liberal, radical and libertarian. Now the burning question of which one am I? Well the “ideal feminist” is a lie, there is no perfect or ideal way to go about feminism. In my mind, you’re a mix of those three and the multitudes of others that are out there. The main thing is that you believe in equality for all.
