Exodus was written in 1450-1410 B.C. The key people were Moses, Miriam, Pharaoh's daughter, Jethro, Aron, Joshua, and Bezaleel. The key places were Goshen, Egypt, Red Sea, Nile River, Sinai peninsula and Mount Sinai. The setting was in Egypt. The people were highly favor and then they were slaves, but God inform the people that they were going to be set free. The key verse is Exodus 3:7,10. Exodus contains the ten commandments and discusses more miracles than any other book of the Bible. The themes were slavery, rescue/redemption, guidance, the nation, and the ten commandments. In relation, of the African American slaves’ and their identification with the experiences of the Hebrew slaves in the “Book of Exodus” have been evidently strong historically. Slavery in America began when Europeans brought the first African slaves to the North American colony of Jamestown, Virginia, in 1619. They African slaves were brought in to aid in the production of lucrative crops such as tobacco, cotton, and sugar. In addition, are the Hebrew/Israelites slaves in the “Book of Exodus,” it tells how the Israelites leaves their bondages with Egypt’s Pharaohs at the time. The Hebrew, escaped their grip through the strength of “Yahweh” is the name of God in Judaism.
Of all of the texts read in humanities classes, the one that is likely most comparable to the book of Exodus is Virgil’s the Aeneid. In Virgil’s the Aeneid, Aeneas finds himself on a journey to save his people, much like Moses finds himself in the book of Exodus. This is perhaps the most important comparison to make, however, this is not the only similarity between the two historic works. Moses and Aeneas both receive divine intervention at many points in their respective stories. In both cases, this allows them to continue on with their fated journey. These are just a few of the significant parallels between these characters and their journeys.
The Exodus is the familiar story of the nation of Israel. Gods chosen people being taken out of slavery, after a series of plagues against Egypt and into the wilderness in search of the promise land. (Ex. 7-14) Throughout the Exodus, God reveals his character in two main themes, one through the constant redemption of his people (Ex. 14-30) and his power and superiority. The word Exodus means “departure” or “outgoing” and God continually provides a way of escape for his people throughout the Exodus ( Ex. 12 & 14) and throughout the entire bible into the New Testament (1 Cor. 10:1-13)
Exodus was really the foundation of Judaism; it was the reason the Israelites settled in Israel. Exodus gave the Jews hope that God would take care of them. It marked the time when the Israelites were delivered from bondage as slaves in Egypt. Exodus is commemorated by Jewish people every year at Passover.
The purpose of the creation story is not central to the Bible but serves as a prologue to the historical drama, which are the central concerns of the Bible. The narrative focus in the Bible is on the story that begins with Noah and is centered on the exodus from Egypt. The central event in the Bible is the creation of the covenant and the giving of laws and commandments. Although the creation of the world in Genesis I and the pronouncement of the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20 are two completely different accounts in the Bible, there lies a similar theme between them: God creates an orderly and hierarchical universe, both natural and moral.
The book of Ezekiel is often overlooked and not much is known about his personal life. His name is actually only mentioned twice within the entire book. What is known of this mysterious prophet is that he was the son of Buzi the priest, and his name means "God will strengthen.(Ezekiel)" Ezekiel was a priest who lived during the Israelite exile around 597 BCE, which was a decade before the Babylonians destroyed Jerusalem. The Israelite exiles settled at a place called Tel-Abib, on the banks of the Chebar, in the land of the Chaldeans(Thomas 24). Ezekeil was said to be about 26 years old when he was put into exile along with King Jehoiachin.

Following the creation story of the book of Genesis is the book of Exodus. In Genesis, God promised Abraham a “great nation from which all nations of the earth will be blessed (Gen 12:1-3)” and in Exodus God completes this promise through the creation of the holy nation, Israel. Exodus tells the story of the God who rescued his people out of Egypt because of the promise he had made to Abraham. God calls to Moses to complete his promise. God’s call to Moses is not only important because he liberates the Israelites but also because God reveals His name(s) along with His true Nature. God calls upon Moses and tells him that He’s back to help the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt and that Moses is to lead them. God then gives him full instructions on what to tell the Pharaoh and, more importantly, the Israelites, who are promised, land “flowing with milk and honey”.

The Ten Commandments is a movie about the book of Exodus and Moses. The movie began at the first order to kill all Hebrews under the age of two. Here Moses is cast off into the Nile and the story begins. It ends with the end of Moses’s life and Joshua taking over. The movie, for the most part, stayed true to the book of Exodus, but some detail and major plotline were different. The movie was good, but the added love story and power struggle made the movie a little off topic. The story itself, Moses being adopted, raised, sent away, and then came back and freed the people is the same, so Exodus is followed in a general way. Some detail is not, like some of the plagues are different (Plague seven was just hail, not hail on fire), and some characters are not existent in the Bible, but appear in the movie. The movie was very good and is one of the best Moses and Passover movies of all time. The only flaw was the details that the movie lacked or were incorrect.
Around 1400 B.C. Exodus was written in Hebrew. The Exodus, which is one of the books in the Old Testament, are rules, similar to Hammurabi Code placed by God for the descendants of Abram. This literature gives insight into the structure of the Jewish community, which includes the hierarchy of their community as well as the roles important in this community. Scholars can further understand the Hebrew community by reading Genesis. Genesis consists of religious stories that talks about how farming, slavery, and the world came into being. But overall, scholars can see a society very much center on religion.
Exodus was a good kid when he was growing up, he had many friends. He lived in one foster home his whole life with a family that loved him and cared a lot about him. They lived north of Indianapolis, in a humongous mansion. Exodus loved his home until one day a terrible thing happened. Exodus was playing with his foster-brother, Moses and accidentally used one of his powers on his on him. Exodus is very scared for his brother's life, but the foster parents did not care, they kicked Exodus out of the house. Exodus hated having powers now, he wished never had them.
