Introduction:
Computerization along with the utilization of a wide array of other techniques has allowed the formation of the Information Age we currently live in today; this period of time is marked by the knowledge-based society that is enveloped by a high-tech economy whose reach spans the globe, utilizing its powers of societal influence to maintain a dominance over human-kind and to bring about further evolution of modern technology and technique. Humans, through development over time, have given a breath of life to technology, allowing it to be looked at in the light of being its own living system. Technology as a system, as compared to the characteristics of life; has different levels of organization, uses energy for maintenance and growth, responds to a given environment, adapts to its environment, and produces further offspring. The missing characteristic of life is the system being composed of cells, which can be accounted for if we consider the system to utilize humans as the cells that compose this living system.
Taking this view of a living system, we can define the relationship between life and technology as that of two species that are evolving together. Technology, though claiming to be for the betterment of man, has brought many strains upon humans as side effects. Technology is like a disease that has spread throughout civilizations, taking deep root, leaving us content by offering some improvements that society’s structure did not have before, while also bringing many handicaps. This disease, can be described using the concepts of symptoms, transmission, and resistance. This being said, technology can be labeled as having a symbiotic, but parasitic, relationship to human kind, assuming technology is not neutr...

Using the three aspects for treatment I gave, I believe the best mixture is using all of them to increase understanding of tech prior to advancing further while also reducing reliance upon technology and identifying and adapting to the artificial environment we are currently in , causing humankind to gain power over technology while preventing society from being stranded without technology. The second path we could choose is to only identify the effects of our artificial environment to adapt, which will buy time and, hopefully, either the problem self corrects or becomes easier to mend. I do not see better options set out so far, so I believe the best option that could possibly salvage the tech machine and man is to focus on comprehension of technology to free man from slavery, and put the reigns of life back in humanity’s hands.
Science and technology go hand in hand. Scientific discoveries result in technology advancements for the people. In today’s technological world, it has progressed to a whole new level. This type of modernization opened doors for new and improved computers, cell phones, medical treatment, and machinery. In a reference article, “Computers and the Internet in America: Modern World” by Christopher Cumo, he discusses how computers and the internet have impacted human life since the 20th century. Technology has always been a part of society and as
In today's world, technology is constantly changing from a new paperclip to an improvement in hospital machinery. Technology lets people improve the way they live so that they can preserve their own personal energy and focus on the really important factors in life. Some people focus their energy on making new innovations to improve transportation and the health of people that may save lives and some people focus on making new designs of packaging CDS. Technology is significant in everyone's life because it rapidly changes what is in the market. But, some new innovations of technology are ridiculous because they serve no purpose in helping mankind.
“… and yet a true creator is necessity, which is the mother of invention.” (Plato 390c). It’s this ‘need’ that fueled are inventions and innovations to reduce the difficulty of all those scenarios deemed impossible. Over the centuries, mankind has progressed by leaps and bound. Starting from being cavemen who hunted animals by sticks and stones to survive, mankind is now able to live luxurious life with well-built homes, stable food and water supply and efficient communication and travel methods. Just picturing the Stone Age and our current lives side by side will make us realize how technology has changed our society. It has changed how we produce our food, communicate with others and how we travel.
Technology allows culture to evolve by creating solutions to problems by removing constraints that exist. Every invention and concept is expanded on to create the utmost perfect solution. Although this process can take decades, or even centuries, to actually develop a proficient resolution, the end result is what advances society industrially. There are conflicting views, however, if these advances are beneficially or maliciously affecting society (Coget). There are three kinds of people in regards to the attitude toward technology: technophiles, technophobes, and those who aren't biased in either regard (Coget). Technophiles understand that the world adapts to the advances in technology and uses them to improve their lives (Tenner). Technophobes observe technology as damaging or are uncomfortable in using it (DeVany). It is undeniable that technology is ever-expanding, thus peaking curiosity to uncover what fuels the fear behind the technophobes. Our focus is concentrated on the technophiles and the technophobes . I will begin with the latter as they contribute greatly to the ov...
When the world was created, there was no technology but yet man survived (Opara). As time moved on technology began to revolutionize the world. Man kept creating ways to make every life easier for themselves. I don’t see a problem with what man has created but what a man has become of it. I agree with Peace Chinwe Opara when he states in his article, “Technology has been implanted into people's blood. Man cannot do without technology. If technology is taken away, man will die. Imagine this world now without electricity. Do you think man will survive it?” People without technology will go crazy just like a chicken with its head cut off. Once upon a time man relied on their own strength, hard work and ideas to carry on business and complete everyday tasks. I’m not against technology but I can assure you that the direction of modern technology will only bring negative effects to society and the world.

Albert Einstein once said, “It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity.” Technology is a controversial topic, some say we are depending in excess from gadgets and devices. However, if it wasn’t for technology we wouldn’t be able to experience many benefits.
In the 21st century, we live in the era of technology-driven world. Humans never stopped the development of technology, because we always have a natural tendency to pursue a higher level of human being. Technology is the best evidence of human intelligence, which has shown that we are different from other animals. We have lived with technology since we were born. Although it has intervened heavily in our daily lives that we can’t no longer live without, nobody can deny the achievements it has brought to us.
There is no doubt that the accomplishments made through technology are astonishing. Technology has made amazing impacts on everything from science in space to medical science to the devices we use every day that make our lives easier. People are living longer and better than ever before, but we can’t forget how to live without it. “Just because technology is there and makes something easier doesn’t mean we should rely on it so much that we can’t think for ourselves,” (Levinson).
Since the beginning of time, humans have thought and made many inventions. Repeatedly the newer one is better than the older. Our minds have created many remarkable things, however the best invention we ever created is the computer. computers are constantly growing and becoming better every day. Every day computers are capable of doing new things. Even though computers have helped us a lot in our daily lives, many jobs have been lost because of it, now the computer can do all of the things a man can do in seconds! Everything in the world relies on computers and if a universal threat happens in which all computers just malfunction then we are doomed. Computers need to be programmed to be able to work or else it would just be a useless chunk of metal. And we humans need tools to be able to live; we program the computer and it could do a lot of necessary functions that have to be done. It is like a mutual effect between us and he computer (s01821169 1).
Technology can be conveyed as a necessary evil in our life today. It’s considered necessary because it can save lives, and make them easier. Yet it’s considered evil because it can destroy lives on a physical and mental aspect. The true question is does the good outway the bad? ‘Technology is a word used to collectively describe or portray the advancements, abilities, creations, undertaking, views, and knowledge of the human-kind”(https://www.academia.edu/346486/Technological_Advancements_and_Its_Impact_on_Humanity). Therefore it basically means that it progresses the human race. It connects us, conserves energy and produces goods, and it saves lives. How could it not be a good thing?
It can be argued the use of technology affects our mind and makes people lazy. In society today many people do not endeavor to educate themselves and use their own knowledge as they resort to technology. We are therefore using technology more than our brain to learn new things, decreasing our understanding of learning new information. For example, today people at work are using technology to hold meetings online with other companies, resulting in a decrease of face-to-face interaction with people that can help individuals gain a greater understanding. People who used to live before us did not have the technology that we have, but they lived and discovered new things. They used their mind to comprehend things
In today’s world science and technology has made human life difficult just because of its new inventions. Everyday many new technologies are been added to the list. People get addicted and they don’t know what they are giving up in return. However, these technologies are taking away the human’s ability to think quantitively. Defining human in today’s world means substituting technology for work and thinking that humans used to do. For instance, the ability to count, the memory to remember, the ability to learn through classrooms, and the ability to do things by hand.
Humans used to be able to kill mammoths and a lot of stuff we think is just crazy now a days. There’s always the risk of evolution of humans becoming weaker and weaker. Humans are already weaker than we used to be. Technology can be making our eyes worse or our body’s less physique than they are. We cannot predict what will happen from the technology that we are so dependent on now a days. It might be for good or it might be for bad. I generally speaking think that technology can help us evolve. The possibilities you can take technology is endless well until you run out of resources in the next million years or two but yeah. Technology could lead us to possibilities that we thought were just impossible. I mean think about it the endless possibilities the endless minds making endless inventions. Technology wise we are constantly evolving and our understanding of technology is getting better and better. Yet our understanding of other things are getting worse. The more we rely on technology the more our weakness grows. The weakness of being addicted, eyestrain, several others are possible through the technology that we love so much. The more we open up to technology the more the future generation is more likely to have those
Technology is making our life easier than before, but are we getting too much dependent on it? Technology is getting improved by past decades. It has become a part and parcel in everyday life. Without it, people would have a lot of trouble to keep pace with the whole world. At the same time, todays new generations incredibly dependent on it. They do not want to use their brain as there are lots of search engines they can easily access and can find out what they want. Technology creates problems about pollution and global warming and at the same time people are using technology to reduce these problems. Overdependence on technology is harmful for humans’ existence because it creates addiction that makes people inactive, decrease job opportunities and causes physical or mental disorders that is a great threat for mans’ life.
