Symbolism is a visual representation of an idea, an expression, and sometimes even people. It’s quite hard to sum up who I am, my beliefs and all my values into one symbol. Out of everything, I chose a blank canvas to be my symbol. The canvas isn’t blank because I think I am a boring person, because I absolutely don’t consider myself boring, it’s blank because everyone starts off that way. The reason I chose a blank canvas as a symbol to represent me is because I believe that we all have our own individual giant canvas, and as we live we paint on it. In reality whenever you are painting on a canvas and you make a mistake, you can’t just press the redo button and start over, well that’s how life is too. Once you make a mistake in life, sadly, there is no starting over, no redo button, no rubber eraser, that mistake makes up who you are, that mistake makes up a part of your canvas. I’m not saying that only bad mistakes are painted on your canvas so don’t get the wrong idea. Whenever you make a good choice, make a bad choice, ace your 10th grade AP Biology exam, fail your 8th grade advanced math exam, turn down the wrong path, go down the right path, graduate high school, drop out of high school, it all makes up who you are and it is all painted on your canvas. …show more content…
