Relentless innovation in the way businesses apply computing power to automate business processes has translated into incredible gains in just a few short decades. These innovations have had positive influence in the models used by businesses for delivering software applications to their users. The software application delivery models have evolved over the years starting with the on-premises application delivery whereby application software was installed and operated on a computer located on the premises of the software licensee, rather than at a remote facility. This is the model that drove and defined the first generation of business application delivery which was used before the widespread availability and affordability of the Internet. On-premises …show more content…
The increased use of the internet led to the introduction of another application delivery model named the hosted software model which used the internet as the medium of delivering software application to end users (Sridhar, 2009). In the hosted model, the application software physically resides at a third party (called the application service provider) data centre where it is operationally managed by the service provider (Papazoglou, 2003) on behalf of the licensee. Although the hosted model addressed some of the drawbacks of the on-premises delivery model such as lack of remote access to the application, it has faced major problems which resulted in a significant increase in the application overhead cost because each business accessed its own dedicated instance of the hosted application (Goepfert, 2002). This meant that each hosted application instance needed to be managed and maintained separately from other instances. The individual management of application instances became a major weakness of the model because business were unable to achieve economies of scale (Dubey & Wagle, 2007), as special attention was paid to each instance and hence the increase in the application overhead cost …show more content…
The development of Web and its infrastructure has posed new challenges and opportunities to software providers, especially those that are increasing their focus of selling software application as a service. Intuitively the advancement in the IT and business environment lead to the evolution of Cloud computing that allowed IT resources to be shard and accessed over the internet as services rather than products to the end users (Ashta & Patel, 2010). In 1999 a consortium of Software Engineering Researchers from the University of Durham Keele University and UMIST known as the Pennie Group predicted that the future of the software lies in not just developing a new architectural style based upon the constructional forms but changing the way the functionalities are delivered to the users (Gupta & Varshapriya, 2014). This software delivery paradigm shift lead to rise of new software business known as Software as a Service (SaaS) (Ashta & Patel,
My initial thought about this painting is that it seems to be incorrect. The reflection in the mirror shows that the lady is looking in the direction of the man standing in front of her. If the lady is looking at the man their reflections should not be off to the side. The second observation is the lady is sad or disappointed and is looking past the man standing in front of her. My last observation is there are three sections from left to right; bottles and the audience, the lady, and the reflections of the lady and man. The most interesting concept about this artwork is how the reflections seem to be inaccurate. If the bottles and the reflections of the lady and the man standing in front of her are at an angle, then why are the vertical lines perpendicular to each other?
The piece shows Marie posing with her three children, the reason for this painting was to create a public message depicting her as more than just elegance and put her on the same level as the general public. Because the painting was meant for the eyes of the general public the painting is rather bland and lacks detail. Instead of Marie looking down on the population showing off her lavish and extravagant items she has just her children attempting to depict herself as a regular mother just like every other female raising children. There is very little details in the paint except for the empty baby carriage which was most likely only included to honor the death of one of her children at a young
What inspires artistic genius? Some proclaim God, others beauty, many believe instanity, and a few say….mind altering drinks. One cannot but notice the companionship of alchohol with music, literature, and poetry. During the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century, Absinthe was the beverage of choice for many prominent artists, and was at the center of the lives of such famous minds as Degas, Manet, Gauguin, and Poe. Le Feé Verte (its pseudonym, meaning green fairy) while immensly popular at one point, was prohibited because of its dangerous side effects and “immoral” connotations. However, its sudden come back in Europe and the U.S. has only reaffirmed its symbol as a drink for artistic revolution and just plain drunkeness.
Technological developments and improvements have allowed for businesses to communicate information faster and better by the use of email, live chats, and video teleconferencing. These enhancements allow for a faster flow of information in which a business can easily distribute and receive responses in real-time from its customers. It helps employees to function more efficiently by using software programs such as word processing, spreadsheet tools, statistical analysis software and computer aided design programs. With the growth of the internet and social media, businesses expose its products to a larger customer base. Others advances such as inventory management software are able to track and fill orders, and replace stock when the volume fails a pre-determined quantity at much faster rates. Digital storage of documents and information on servers and multi-media storage
We walked and walked looking at each art piece, which were all well displayed. Then as I looked at the back wall, a large oil canvas painting looked right back at me. I could feel its pain and so then, I decided to do my paper on this piece. The painting was The Ragpicker by Manet. (The Ragpicker. Edouard Manet.1865.Oil on canvas.) The painting was so enormous that it was hard to miss. Such a huge painting for one man, it almost looked life-like. The dimensions of this work is 76.75” x 51.25”. This scene seems to take place of a lower-class man late in his age, probably near his seventies, appears to be looking out of the corner of his eye. The ...
A software development process, also known as a software development life cycle (SDLC) can be explained as a structure, imposed on the development of a software product. The software development life cycle (SDLC) is an umbrella term for the overall process of developing, implementing, and retiring information systems through a multiple step process from initiation, training, documentation , design, analysis, maintenance, and consulting.

Hardware, software, support and maintenance costs grow each year with multiple systems in each local region running different types of software and hardware. The application and hardware support teams are larger than could be possible with one integrated solution.
Identify three criteria you consider to be the most important in a quality system. Briefly discuss your rationale for selecting these criteria.
In this article, the researchers studied the impact of Alcoholics Anonymous on sobriety and gender differences and extroversion in success of Alcoholics Anonymous. In Alcoholics Anonymous, women consist of one-third of the members (Krentzmen, Brower, Cranford, Bradley, & Robinson, 2012). Also, women tend to be more extroverted (Krentzmen et al., 2012). The researchers questioned if extroversion was the reason that women did better in Alcoholics Anonymous, attending more meetings and having longer rates of success (Krentzmen et al., 2012). AA includes group fellowship and working with mentors, both activities that extroverts would be more comfortable doing than introverts. Previous studies have showed that being outgoing is associated with staying in AA for more than one year (Krentzmen et al., 2012). The main research questions were if participation in AA was predictive of sobriety, the difference between women and men, and if this difference was a result of extroversion. Their hypothesis was that AA membership would be associated with more sobriety, that success rates would be higher for women, and that the
For doing this assignment I will describe briefly Cézanne’s, The Large Bathers first and then I will describe Matisse’s Bonheur de Vivre and then Picasso’s Les Demoiselles d’Ávignon describing and commenting how they can see inspired by Cezanne’s painting.

Generally in an enterprise environment, the full application must be pushed to the client machine and installed. You will require lot of bandwidth, disk space, etc other requirement in your network and client machines, depending on the size of the application. With application virtualization streaming option, you can configure client computer to just download the part of application needed to be executed and that also on request, leading to save lot of resources.
The consumer can use the middleman’s equipment to develop his own program and deliver it to the users through internet and servers.
