Recommended: Observation of constellations
You see the star sparkling in the night and then you spot multiple stars that look like they are meant to form a shape, you connect the stars together and then you slowly get the picture. The pattern or shape in the night sky is called a constellation. There are many constellations, all different shapes and sizes. For example, there are horoscope constellations, or zodiac constellations, Big Dipper, Small Dipper, Pegasus, and etc. These constellations are all different shapes and sizes. But in this paper, there’s a certain type of constellation that will be discussed in this paper and those “certain type” are zodiac constellations. Not all 12 but only six: Taurus, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius. After you’re done with this paper, your knowledge of horoscope constellations will be expanded.
Taurus is the 2nd sign of the Zodiac constellations. Taurus stands for a bull, Taurus the bull. Taurus is a northern winter constellation and can be best seen in December (“The Signs of the Zodiac and the 12 Zodiacal Constellations”). Taurus is the most famous and visible out of the zodiac constellations. Taurus was first classified by Ptolemy, the Greek astronomer. Taurus dates all the way back to the Bronze Age. The brightest stars are Aldebaran and Alpha Tauri. Alsebaran is the 13th brightest star The constellation is famous for Pleiades/ Messier 45, or also called the Seven Sisters and the Hyades. Taurus is the 17th largest constellation in the sky, it is 797 square degrees. The constellations that are the closest to Taurus are Aries, Perseus, Auriga, Orion, and Eridanus (“Taurus Constellation”). Taurus is the 2nd sign of the zodiac constellations.
Gemini is the 3rd Zodiac constellations. Its name means “twins” in Lati...

...bout size, Sagittarius comes in as 15th biggest constellation (Kim Ann Zimmerman). Sagittarius is the 9th sign in the Zodiac constellations.
Aquarius is the 11th zodiac sign of the zodiac constellations. The name Aquarius means the water bearer. Aquarius is a summer constellation and is best seen in the month of September (“The Signs of the Zodiac and the 12 Zodiacal Constellations”). Aquarius is a southern spring constellation (“Southern Hemisphere Constellations”). It was recorded by the Greek astronomer, Ptolemy. It is also one of the oldest constellations to be documented of the Zodiac. Aquarius may be hard to find in the night sky because the name does not fit its shape. Aquarius also does not have a particularly bright star. It is the 10th largest constellation, covering 980 square degrees (Kim Ann Zimmerman). Aquarius is one of the zodiac constellations.
yourself in Northern California. frozen shore of Tule Lake. Now regard what sort of shape. this constellation takes a look. It sits there like a jagged scar.
The Aquarius, or the water bearer, is typically defined by its unpredictability. The deep, complex cave is the first Aquarius symbol because the underground river bears water through itself. Because the cave is so deep and intricate, it’s bound to be unpredictable. Another Aquarius symbol is Beowulf’s ship because, through water, it bears Grendel’s destroyer.
Perseus, the twenty-forth largest constellation, is depicted as a man holding a sword in one hand and the head of Medusa in the other. Ptolemy discovered the constellation during the second century. Measuring 28 degrees in length, it lies in the Northern Hemisphere and can be seen best in December around nine o’clock P.M. It can also be seen in the Southern Hemisphere during the summer from latitudes north of negative thirty-five degrees. Today we have new technology that allows us to do many incredible things. One of those things is the ability to calculate the stars, where they will go and where they have been. Most know of the star of Bethlehem and how it symbolizes the birth of Jesus. The star of Bethlehem marks the birth of Jesus but what about when Jesus was conceived, did the sky show any signs then? Yes, in Revelation 12:1 it states “A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.” What does that have to do with the conception of Jesus? Well, if you take our new technology you can go back and see exactly what happened that night. That night Jupiter came into close conjunction with Regulas then turned around (retrograde motion)and passed Regulas two more times. Jupiter for centuries has been known as the king planet and Regulus in the Roman culture is called Rex which means king. Regulus is part of the constellation Leo the Lion. The constellation following Leo the Lion was Virgo, the virgin, and the sun was passing through her – a woman clothed in the sun . And the moon was close to the foot of the...
The basic astrological assumptions are not hard to grasp. For if astronomy is the study of the movements of the heavenly bodies, then astrology is the study of the effects of those movements. The astronomers of the ancient world assumed a division of the universe whereby the superior, immutable bodies of the celestial worlds ruled over the terrestrial or sublunary sphere, where all was mortality and change. It was assumed that the stars had special qualities and influences which were transmitted downwards upon the passive earth, and which varied in their effect, according to the changing relationship of the heavenly bodies to each other. They were led to postulate a single system in which the seven moving stars or planet shifted their position in relation to the earth and each other, against a fixed backcloth of the twelve signs of the zodiac. There is nothing obscure about these general assumptions.
My favorite constellation is Pegasus. Pegasus is a winged horse, and I love horses. Back in the Muggle world, I rode horses in competition, and I was watching at Hogwarts during the Goblet of Fire celebration in which the girls' academy was brought in a carriage pulled by several Pegasi. Pegasi are very influential in popular Muggle culture, in television shows such as "My Little Pony" which features Pegasi, unicorns, and normal horses. Winged horses are beautiful and pristine creatures, the ultimate show of perfection.
Have you ever been to a Chinese restaurant that handed you a paper with a bunch of random animals and years on it? Most people will just throw it away and not pay that much attention to it. That little piece of paper contains a basic information about the Chinese Zodiac just enough to get you hooked. There are many people all over the world that very much believe in the ancient Chinese Zodiac. The Chinese Zodiac can be helpful for finding the current Chinese year, what animal people are, and can help make decisions.
I've decided to choose the constellation, Andromeda. I've chosen constellation because I like the sound of it's name, "The Chained Woman." I know, it sounds a little dark for a teenage boy to be saying that, but it got me thinking, "I could come up with the greatest myth in the world!" Or so I hope. It has 16 stars stationed within itself. It has a couple of galaxies around it, one such named after the constellation itself, the Andromeda Galaxy. The "Blue Snowball Nebula" is found only a little bit away from Iota Andromedae. Each November, the Andromedids meter shower can be seen emitting from the constellation.
I have chosen the constellation "Draco" due to its interesting shape and facts. "Draco" which is Latin for "Dragon" is a northern constellation which is circumpolar in the northern hemisphere. It is one of the many 88 constellations along one of the 48 of those which were listed by Ptolemy. Thuban, also known as Alpha Draconis, was the Northern Pole star around 2700 BC, around the times of the ancient Egyptians. The Egyptian Pyramids would be designed to have one side facing north, the entrance passage was designed so that Thuban would be visible every nightfall. Draco has several stars those of which are binary and double. Thuban is a blue-white giant star, it has a magnitude of 3.7 and it is 309 light years from Earth.
It was not up until 200 years ago that people started identifying their zodiac sign with the position of the Sun. So when a person is asked what is his or sign, the Sun was passing through on the day that person was born. This can be demonstrated on a birth chart. Our birth charts are special "sky maps" which reflect the quality of the exact moment we drew our first breath. With that first breath, we each began our own incredible hero's journey through life on planet Earth. The birth positions of the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto all play their own unique symbolic roles as messengers and ambassadors of the universe.
Taurus, Latin for “bull,” is one of the oldest constellations, its observation dating back tens of thousands of years. In fact, 40,000-year-old Paleolithic cave paintings of Taurus exist in the Hall of the Bulls in the caves at Lascaux, located in the southwest of France. Taurus takes the form of the bull in many mythologies of numerous cultures throughout history.
Ophiuchus is also known as eleventh largest constellations in the sky. Lastly, on July 31 full moon was passing through Aquarius. Aquarius is known as the 10th largest in the sky. In respects to moon orbit, it travels through new constellations every couple days. From this observation we can conclude that during the moon orbit which takes about 29.5 days, the moon passes through all 13 of the elliptic
So in this post, we’ll be discussing one of my personal favorite signs of the zodiac: Capricorn! I love Capricorn honestly, it’s such a misunderstood sign and I think that it’s really one of the coolest signs. Anyways, the symbol of Capricorn is the goat: determined, able to climb to great heights, and pushes right through any issue. The glyph of Capricorn represents the V-shaped beard of the goat and curved tail of the fish. It also pictures the human knee and circular kneecap. Symbolically, the glyph is two straight lines that connected to a circle and a crescent, representing authority and responsibility strengthened by passion and energy. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, the planet of responsibility, authority, life lessons, restrictions,
For some people, their zodiac sign reflects their personality like a mirror. For others, it may seem like a massive load of garbage. In the Western astrology system, there are twelve signs, all with different characteristics and qualities. Being born in early May means I fall in the sign of Taurus. Taurus is both an Earth and a Fixed quality sign, which means that it is the least likely to be swayed by opinion or sudden changes in life. A few qualities of a Taurus include devotion, reliability, stubbornness, and practicality. These are traits that I have shown throughout my life.
