The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World inspired awe and fascination during their time. They are ancient structers in different parts of the world. There is only one still standing today. You can still see parts of some of the wonders in museums, or other places.

The Mausolim was destroyed by an earthquake in 1400 AD. In1 522 crusaders finshed the destruction and used peices of the marble to build their own houses. Some people believe it was 140 feet high but some people thought it was 135 feet high. The king of the mausloum is king Mausollas. His wife’s name is Artemisa. People say they where brother and sister. When he died Artemsia mixed his ashes with water and drank them. the size and decorations made the masolium famous that all large tombs are called mausoium’s.
