The Punic wars was a series of wars that determined how the rest of world history would play out in the future. The Romans and Carthaginians were the powerhouses of the Mediterranean for many years. Both had the wealth and the power to rule the Mediterranean. Because of this, the two empires clashed for control of the Mediterranean and the small countries around it.
