You can also meditate on your question and allow yourself to receive an answer. Sitting comfortably, breathing in and out, and visualizing your question in your mind 's eye can help you remove the outside noise and let you sneak a peek at what your inner self is trying to tell you. You may have a vision of the answer or you may even get interrupted from the meditation with an answer. However it comes, allow yourself to trust it and act on it believing that you have all the answers you need and they come to you when you ask for them. 7. Use Tarot Cards If you are unsure about this, let me just say this: If you can 't make a decision, no matter how hard you try, isn 't something better than nothing? Many people believe in flipping a coin or getting someone else to point to a colored rock that signifies one choice or another, but when it comes to tarot cards, they are quick to shut the idea down. Probably because of the weird label that comes with tarot cards. However, tarot cards are simply …show more content…
Weigh The Pros And Cons Often we can 't make a decision because we can 't clearly see which one will benefit our life more. There is a simple way to rectify this. Get a pen and paper and start writing. Write down your choices on a piece of paper and then write out the pros and cons of each choice. Take some time to really consider the pros and cons, and what you are left with is a scale of which decision would be the wiser decision for you to make. If you like this method, I highly recommend that you take up journaling! By journaling every day, you can clearly see how you feel about something, what is working and what is not through consistent praise or complaints, and tweak your decisions to work for you. 12. Create Rules In Your Life Lastly, if you are stuck in a decision, create some rules in your life - or in that specific area of life - that will help you make decisions much easier. When you have rules in place, indecisiveness will be much less

Before starting this reading assignment I never thought to question why I make the decisions I do in such a short amount of time. After reading Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking, written by Malcolm Gladwell I have a better understanding of how we as individuals perceive and react to information. This book provides insight on how to critically asses and understand the way our minds operate on a deeper level. The book consists of 6 chapters, each providing insight on how the decision making process works and how it affects what we do with every second of the day. Throughout each chapter there are subsections with personal stories, case studies, or examples that help provide an alternative view on how the decision making process is carried out under normal circumstances.

Indecisiveness is an inner conflict that inhibits a person from choosing a decision and acting on it. This inner conflict is easily relatable; however, explaining the fuel that ignites the conflict is much more difficult. Every human being must make decisions every day. Moreover, some of these decisions are tougher to choose than others. Psychologically, a decision is not tough because the situation is difficult, but the way the mind perceives the situation is what makes the choice baffling. In other words, humans make decisions more arduous than they seem. Also, the mind of every individual is unique and processes information

...d the common card suits, Hearts, Clubs, Diamonds, and Spades and the cards within that suit from the aces and court to the generic cards from two to ten. Today’s trick playing games are also derived from the methods that were developed for the original Tarot cards with games such as Bridge and Setback and many more mirroring the gameplay of a typical Tarot game. There is even evidence that the Joker card included in every set is a remnant from the Tarot’s Fool card. Finally, the images for each of the face cards are very old links to the original Tarot cards in Italy. While the images have changed drastically and are no longer very similar to the original images, Tarot cards provided a very strong basis for the typical modern card deck. Tarot birthed and developed many different forms of entertainment which have more than served their purpose through the years.
If it’s an emotional decision I’m sure you’re thinking short term and not long term. Make a list of all the long term con’s and pro’s and you’ll get to the decision. Emotions can overwhelm you and you can make the wrong decision. If you think back on emotionally biassed decisions have you had any regrets? We often don’t think long-term. If you think of your future self as a real person you’ll be much kinder to your future
The next thing you will need is to know the question you would like answered. When doing a reading for someone else it can help to know what it is they are seeking however it is not essential. There are two types of readings: Question readings and Open readings. Generally, with Question readings the Querent or Seeker will have a specific question they will like answered. Open readings are more general and give an overall reading.
The process of making a decision for many is a disconcerting responsibility. While for others, making a decision is second nature. According to Browne et al., "Decisions are streams of choices. These streams contain bits of information, events, and choices (1998, p. 50)." The authors go on to state:
I took long time to think before making any type of decision. Taking time to think always help me to make a right decision. I am optimistic, so never believe in failure.
work would affect my education. Also, my parents advice helped me a lot. I started to think more
Making decisions is really much more complicated than it seems. When I make decisions, my Id, Ego, and Superego decide my fate. Unfortunately for me, my Id wins far too often, as I often do not study enough. Other personality traits, such as my tendency to over-think and analyze too many things, also play a role. This can influence my other behaviors by making me seem cold and distant with others because I’m too busy thinking. My self-concept is also important.
When undecided I was scared to branch out, and commit to a daily task. I was afraid to work every day, afraid to give up unhealthy habits, and scared of the failure. Although, the ironic part about the indecisiveness was that I was failing doing that as well. I was scared to try and fail so I would just barely try and barely succeed. Had I just focused on the hard work, I would have easily succeeded. I still have friends from high school who I still talk to and there is one in particular that is lost in the world. He had never planned for the world outside of high school, and I realize that indecisiveness rules his thinking. The reason I say this is it is easy to just stay home, sleep in, and do nothing day after day, but I believe that after a while a feeling of dissatisfaction is develops and we slowly dislike ourselves. Somewhere inside of our minds we want to succeed so we must fight through the indecisiveness, and pick what it is we wish to do. When determination sets in, it instills a confidence that allows me to do things that i never thought I could do. When completing these tasks I feel confident, and as if I am
We make choices every hour, every minute, and every second of our lives; whether big or small our choices are slowly putting us in the direction we choose or end up. Many of us do not realize what contributes to the choices we make and why it affects others the same way if affects us and because of this many authors and writers have written stories and articles about coming to terms with making a choice and how to better ourselves when it comes to decision-making for the future.
