Two of my friends, who happen to be Latinos, support Trump. Eric Marquez and Victor Luna both firmly believe Trump is the right person to lead the Nation. However, time and time again, Donald Trump has made statements that suggest these two would be voting against their best interest and the best interest of the country.
Donald Trump has said in different interviews that certain people just do not belong in America. Donald Trump’s first openly racist comments of Mexicans and Latinos happened in his Presidential speech announcement. “When Mexico sends its people, they are not sending their best. They are not sending you; they are sending people that have a lot of problems. They are bringing drugs, they are bringing crime, they are rapists, and some I assume are good people.” Donald Trump was not only targeting Mexicans, but also immigrants from other countries. His proposed policies would not only affect undocumented immigrants but also citizens if he were to be elected President. Some of these anti-immigrant policies propose stripping babies born to undocumented immigrants of their birthright citizenship and deporting the parents. This immigration reform would deport families back to their countries of origin. The estimated cost of the mass deportation of 11.3 million undocumented immigrants would be roughly between $400 billion and $600 billion, according to American Action Forum and Forbes. There would be a 5.7 percent decline of Labor Force and a 6.4 percent decline in Real Gross domestic product according

According to Eric, “Donald Trump is against illegal immigration, and against anchor babies. Trump is telling the American people what they want to hear. He does not let political correctness get in his way.” According to Victor, “Trump’s immigration reform act would help the economy, it would stop them from taking advantage of the United
It is obvious the Republican Party has no brains. If they elect Donald Trump to run for president, they are going to lose big time. They can blame themselves for being so stupid. The establishment runs the Republican Party. They are the ones who lose major elections. The leadership of the Republican Party shifts the blame to conservative wing of the Republican Party; however, it is the moderate wing of the Republican Party who loses elections. Does John McClain ring a bell? If the Republican Party hopes to win the presidency, they must run a conservative or face another trouncing in the next election. It is that simple. Therefore, the Republicans had better wake up fast if they want to
Formally, an immigrant can be defined as “a person who comes to live permanently in a foreign country.” But in some cases, there has been people like Cesar Chavez who have made a difference in history as an immigrant. Unfortunately, there are those who are not as lucky as Cesar Chavez and end up getting deported just like what happened in Operation Wetback in 1942. Now, they have made a way for immigrants to become U.S. citizens by taking the citizenship test. However, Donald Trump is one of the many people attempting to keep immigrants as far away from the U.S. Border laws are also another one of the many reasons why not many immigrants get the chance to enter this country because in many ways the laws that surround the border are in some ways unfair and not really the best. Immigration still remains a problem in our country
Immigration has been a great part in America’s history since the 1880’s to 1920 and also the first part of the 19th century. Many immigrants came to America seeking greater economic opportunity, others, such as Pilgrims came in the early 1600’s in the search for religious freedom (History.com Staff, par 1). Immigrants are taking the jobs that Americans do not want, but Americans want the immigrants to leave the country. Donald Trump says, “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re
Donald Trump is a highly successful business titan, real estate mogul, reality television personality, and now a 2016 presidential candidate. Since announcing his candidacy this past June, he has been very loquacious on his views pertaining to foreign policy. He takes a very realist approach when addressing these issues. His views are very much in line with the belief that the international political arena is not dominated by altruistic ideologies, but rather nation-states that are self-interested. His foreign policy platform centers on using hard power to achieve America’s goals in the Middle East and to eradicate illegal immigration.
Immigration reform has been one of the “hot” topics that have been consistently at the forefront of many American discussions. At this time, there are more illegal immigrants in our country than legal immigrants. This is a major controversy in the realm of other social policies. Illegal immigration, or undocumented immigrants, refers to foreign people entering the United States without government permission or violating the immigration law. This is typically done by sneaking into the country or staying beyond the allotted time frame.
Trump has said and believes that all immigrants that enter the United States are bad and are set out to endanger the lives of all individuals
Immigration is an immeasurable problem here in the U.S., Trumps outlook for this issue states “They're bringing drugs, they're bringing crime, they're rapists,” Trump said of undocumented Mexican immigrants while announcing his candidacy last June. Building the border stronger end immigrants and refugees who don’t through rigorous vettings.
Immigration has always been a hot topic in America. There are many pros and cons, which makes it a delicate issue when it comes to debates. In an attempt to reform immigration, President Obama has issued an executive order that will overhaul the nation’s immigration system as we know it. The president’s changes will affect nearly 11 million undocumented immigrants who are currently residing in America. Focusing on 4 main changes, Obamas’ plan focuses on many aspects from enhancing border security to developing new processes in which workers can enter the country.
On November 12, 2015 Donald Trump gave a speech in Fort Dodge at a community college. In this speech he talks about borders in the United States and how we have such relaxed borders compared to any other country, where you get fined a lot of money, prison time or even killed for crossing their borders illegally. While, in America you get a job, healthcare, and education, Trump believes that 's why we are in debt. Illegal immigrants, also can have babies in America and they automatically become legal citizens and Donald Trump call them "anchor babies".
Donald Trump is a successful businessman who has accomplished more than most people could ever dream of. He started in the real estate business and has his own university, appeared on a T.V. show, is a billionaire, has many golf resorts, and is the president of the United States. He is criticized for many of his comments and political views. Some of these views are him wanting to build a wall to protect the United States from illegal immigrants and drugs, wanting to replace The Affordable Care Act, and banning people from Muslim countries to keep out terrorists. Although Donald Trump is often viewed as a controversial figure, he benefitted the United States of America by improving and creating jobs, proving that non-establishment politicians can still win the presidency, and by making America safer.
As both "conservatism" and "liberalism" have had various meanings sooner or later and transversely countries, the word liberal conservatism has been used in relatively different sanity. In political science, the word is used to pass on to ideologies that merge the support of capitalism, for instance value for contracts, protection of private property and free market require reference to validate with the principle in natural discrimination, the significance of religion, and the worth of traditional integrity need reference to validate in the course of a construction of inadequate, legitimate, representative government (Abdou & Zaazou 2013). It contrasts with traditional liberalism and particularly aristocratic conservatism, rejecting the belief of correspondence as a little in discordance with human nature, instead emphasizing the thought of natural inequality (Crozier. 2012).As the conservative thought in democratic countries hold typical liberal institutions such as the rule of law, private property, market economy, and constitutional representative government, the liberal factor of liberal conservatism
An article titled, “How to make America greater: more immigration” by Eduardo Porter, an avid writer for The New York Times says, “President Trump will make America smaller” (Porter, 2017, p. B1). The United States President, is trying to make the American people happy by deporting all illegal immigrants, but he does not realize how large of an asset the workers are. If American people have a problem with immigrants coming to the United States to work, then those complaining people should take a stand and hold down a steady job, so that the unfilled job spots will be taken care of. Migrant workers are humans looking for the work force just like anybody else, and these people should be treated with the same respect as anybody else
One of the biggest controversies in this election is immigration and both of the candidates stands on it. It is very important because there are so many immigrants and especially illegal immigrants. Trumps issues on it is, Any way that dont come in legally they would have to return to their home countries and apply for legal entry should they wish to return. He hasn't said what
According to the article “5 facts about immigration in the U.S” at least one in every five student have one unauthorized immigrant as a parent. If immigrants cross to have anchor baby. An anchor baby is used to refer to a child born to a noncitizen mother in a country which has birthright citizenship. Imgrants are giving an advantage to america's future. Immigrants should able to stay in this country to stay with their children. 2016 presidential candidate has disagreed with anchor babies and wants to take away the citizenship away from children. According to Mr. Donald Trump about anchor babies he says"I don't think they have American citizenship and if you speak to some very, very good lawyers -- and I know some will disagree, but many of them agree with me -- and you're going to find they do not have American citizenship," (Donald Trump: “Anchor babies” aren't real american citizens). This has caused a very controversial debate because in the 14th amendment is states “all persons born or naturalized in the United States,” which included former slaves recently freed” which mean that they are citizens. Those children have been born in this country and should have the right to be called American
Also, various reasons have been voiced regarding why the Trump immigration reforms plan may fail. Politician Gavin Newsom from California posits that the construction of a border wall is impractical and pointless. According to him, the idea would be hindered by mountains, rivers, private, and tribal lands along the frontier among other challenges (Rosenfeld). Further, there have been concerns that the wall will not stop relocation into the USA as immigrants have been able to cross over in spite of the upgraded border security. The most important argument so far aired against the plan is that the success of the deportation agenda will cause adverse effects on the economy. By deporting millions of people, the nation will lose significant number workers, especially farmers. According to Gavin, about 6% of the American workforce is made up of immigrants and sending them home is risky for the financial
