When assessing the reasoning behind the piracy of music by adolescents, one must first consider accessibility. Free music downloads are easily accessible from various Internet sites and free apps that can be easily downloaded to any cell phone. With a variety to choose from, adolescents have the ability to download pirated music from multiple sites, for some that is a way to continue to acquire their music undetected. Aside from that, these downloads are completely free, which is very appealing to a majority of people. Adolescents do not read that much into anything that claims to be free, being illegal may never cross their mind.
