It is also the oldest sport around and many of the athletes have been practicing their profession ever since they were kids. Some argue should baseball have a salary cap like other major sports but it is only right that they get paid very well, due to the time and effort that is put into their craft. The players aren’t in the same league and don’t exhibit the same skill or compassion for their sport. Every sport has players that are paid higher than others based on their performance yet you don’t see an entire group protesting against it occurring. In addition, it has been noted that the MLB has stood firm on the pay that is given to its players and don’t plan on renegotiating any terms of them. The players may take in huge salaries but the franchise owners, stadiums and all associated with the game are seeing very satiable profits also. I feel that any craft, whether it be football, baseball, basketball or hockey should be paid according to their skill level and performance. These athletes put their all into these sports and achieve greatness in doing so. So yes, baseball players deserve their pay as well because they’re bringing just as much if not more and it behooves me why anyone would suggest recalculating a player’s salary if they are meeting expectations and proving fruitful to their
