It should be unquestionable that not everyone is fit to be a parent, so forcing an unfit individual to have a baby isn’t going to benefit anyone, especially the unwanted child. It is apparent that not everyone agrees to what has been said. Many others are against abortion for so many different reasons. It should be known that a lot of people who get abortions more often than not have a very good reason for their decision. Without abortion there will be people who are unfit, unable, or who were raped, raising an unwanted baby. The people who want an abortion are usually unfit. They want this for a reason. Do you really want someone who is thinking about getting rid of it to raise it? Of course they could always put it up for adoption, but what
kind of life would it have? There is a possibility that it would live all its’ life either bouncing from foster home to foster home or at an orphanage. I’m not saying that all kids who grow up like that don’t do well or make it, but more often than not, they end up hating life, wondering why their parents gave them up. They grow up angry with the world and waste their precious life. People should have have a baby when they’re ready--if ever. If an individual is more than capable to raise a child, but can’t afford to have one at that moment, then this would be another reason for someone to have an abortion. Children need the right nutrients to grow healthy. Yes, there are programs that assist with this, but they never cover all of the essentials. Not only do they have an extra mouth to feed, they have to clothe, shelter, and take care of their hygiene. The overall cost nowadays to raise a kid until they’re 18 is about $245,000. That’s almost $2,500 a year! It isn’t a smart idea to start raising another life until financially ready. Sometimes the situation wasn’t in their hands. Perhaps what is growing inside them wasn’t preventable to begin with. Being raped is very serious. They have been violated. Refusing them to get an abortion is just violating them all over again. Why force someone to live on nine months with the reminder of what had happened to them? It isn’t fair to make someone go through that. Especially if they have to end up raising the child. It is completely possible that the mother would resent what she gave birth to. She could abuse the child either mentally or physically. Pressuring someone to have an unwanted baby is unreasonable, not only for the girl, but for the growing fetus. This is, no doubt, a very sensitive subject. Not everyone shares the same opinion that was said in this essay. We must take into consideration, the situation the certain person is in. Keep in mind that there is usually always a good enough reason to get an abortion. Even if it’s: “baby’s are stupid.” This tells us that they are most likely unfit to raise the child. They obviously don’t want to have the kid. There would be a very good possibility that the kid would be abused in some sort of way. No matter the age, who they are or how it happened, no one has the right to tell anyone what to do with their body.
How would you feel if someone took away your ability to live and have a future? You wouldn't have the opportunity to crawl, take your first step, have your first kiss, or experience those butterflies in your stomach at the sight of first love. Millions of special moments, a life, shredded to pieces. This is essentially what abortion does. Abortion is not the answer in the case of an unplanned pregnancy and needs to be stopped! First of all, abortion is a type of unnecessary murder that occurs in inhumane ways and cannot be tolerated. Moreover, there are alternatives to abortion and many families who are looking to adopt. Lastly, the side effects of abortion can cause life threatening health risks to the mother. Excuses will always be made, but the bottom line is that abortion is not acceptable and should be stopped.
I believe, that if you don’t think you are capable of giving your child a decent life, that they will be able to be successful in, you should consider your all options, maybe being a parent isn’t right for you. Every child deserves happiness and I hate seeing people treat their children poorly, abusing them, and neglecting them. If you do not want kids, you shouldn’t have them, no child should live feeling unwanted. I also stand by the fact that it is no one’s business unless you include them in the fact that you are having an abortion, I see few ways in how it may affect the rest of the world, if you decide not to have a child or not. All women reserve the right of privacy, and of course a choice. It isn't up to the government to tell women to give birth or not, and that’s why the law is the way it is. According to ("EsMBA." Five Major Pro Choice Abortion Arguments. N.p., n.d. Web. 25 Aug. 2016. )Most women were using a method of birth control that didn't work properly. By denying women abortions, who never intended to have children or become pregnant, forces them have children they don't want. Unwanted childbirth can have a severely negative impact on a person’s life, forcing them to raise another human, and take time away from that person’s necessities, and effecting every single day
Some people who are for abortion say that the baby can be put up for adoption. While they can be, there are already four hundred thousand children up for adoption in the United States of America. Only, one fourth of those kids are waiting
There are other options instead of an abortion. One could set up an adoption plan instead. They both still come with pain but knowing that a child could have a life is a better feeling. An adoption is giving away all legal rights to another family to take care of a child that somebody cannot. There is also open adoption, which is where the birth mother and the adoptive parents come to an agreement where they can get regular updates on the child. They could get pictures, meetings with parents or even play dates with the child. The law however does not enforce that method.
The cost of adoption can range between $25,000 and $40,000, which is too expensive for the modern family, according to “What is the Cost of Adopting from Foster Care?”. Not having the ability to finance a child keeps many families from adopting. Some companies may limit eligibility for adoption benefits to full-time employees or those who have been with the organization for a number of years (“Children’s Bureau”). These benefits include a lump sum payment that can range from $500-$25,300. A lump sum payment is a single payment, as opposed to a series of payments overtime. The benefits also offer a maximum reimbursement of $8,000 and 5 weeks paid leave, but these benefits only apply to those who are employed. Why is
Parents have the tendency to overlook how lucky they are to have had the ability to create their own children. Many do not recognize what a true blessing it is to have kids, and that others are not fortunate enough to experience that miracle. Ten percent of couples endure infertility (Advantages) so they must consider other options. A very popular choice is adoption. It is not only a good alternative for the couple, but also for the child who needs a loving home.
When it comes to abortion I believe that it should always be left up to the woman to make the decision on whether to keep her baby or not. Having a baby is no eas...
What is foster care? Why do some people choose to adopt? What are benefits of adoption? How does the foster system work? These are questions often asked when people want to know what adoption can be like. Adoption is not something everyone is open to, but doing foster care and taking care of children from broken homes can change not just their life but the person caring for them. Adoption and foster care can be an option that should be well thought about before acted upon. Adopting can be a new beginning not just for the child, but for the person adopting. Before making the choice to adopt, becoming a foster-parent is a wonderful first step to take. Foster care and adoption can be a great life changing experience for the parents and children
Many women who carry unexpected or unwanted children are left to decide between keeping the child, adoption, abortion and maybe foster care. Most of the time the decision is just between adoption and abortion. In that case, the mother is losing the child either way. Most of the time choosing adoption or foster care would be a better choice than abortion because the pregnancy would end by giving life instead of death. Adoption and foster care are an opportunity for people who wish to be parents, but are not able to have a child of their own to finally become parents or people who have children of their own, but want to add-on to their family.
Have you ever wondered what your parents look like or if they are thinking of you? Adoption can have that effect on children. What is adoption? Adoption is the process of providing parents with children and children with families when birth parents are unwilling or unable to care for their offspring. Adoption can make a child feel abandon, unloved, and have low self-esteem.
When a couple or individual decides to adopt a child, they know they are going to take on the responsibility of taking care of someone else’s child. Due to the biological parent(s) who can’t take care of that child anymore, because of either drug abuse, alcohol abuse, abuse to the child or if the parent(s) had died and there is no other care for the child. So that’s why this gives other couples who cannot have kids, the opportunity to promise themselves to be a great parent to a child in need. Though there are some bad things about adoption as well. Like adopting a child from another country of another race, because once that child is adopted into an American family, he or she will be cut off from their culture and never know about their history. Everyone should to know about their culture and history.
Although it may be wrong to some, only the individual parents –in particular the woman- has the right to decide their own choice. Do they give birth to a child from a convicted felon? Do they give birth to a child while they are still a child? Do they give birth to a child whose father is the father of their very own mother? Maybe. However, giving women the option of abortion is no “maybe.” It is simple: giving women a choice over their own life and their own child is an inalienable right protected by the ideas of freedom established by our forefathers. In conclusion, having an open mind will fix this problem. Realizing that, although one group of individuals may find abortion to be wrong, a pregnant mother has the right to decide what is right and wrong.
There are 1.5 million adopted children in the United States. (Fields, Jason,) If the parents weren't ready to have to a child, instead of abortion there's adoption. There are different types of adoption. Foster care adoption is the adoption of children in state care for whom reunification with their birth parents is not possible for safety or other reasons. Private adoption can be arranged either through an agency or through independent adoption. Adoption is a lot safer than abortion, if people knew the facts about abortion i bet they'd rather give their child for adoption rather than having an abortion.
What is adoption? Adoption is to take into one's family through legal means and raise as one's own child. I'm sure everyone in this class would like to become parents someday. But how many of you have ever considered adoption? Growing up as a child I had a friend that was adopted from Russia. Over the years we began to get closer, not just friends, practically brothers. We did absolutely everything together, band, drama, and tennis. Then one day he started to talk about his life and how much different it would be if he wasn't adopted. This sparked my interest in adoption and all the benefits behind it. Everyone wanting to have children should consider there options and keep an open mind about adoption. The benefits of adoption are endless. First, it can promote sharing within a house hold. Secondly, it provides many benefits for the child being adopted. Finally it can gives the parents the satisfaction of raising a child. Adoption is a great way to enhance a family's bond.
A person being pregnant and wishing they weren't is probably the worst feelings a woman can have. A women knowing that if they brought a child into the world and they didn't want it, or they would have to give it up for adoption is such a disheartening way to start off, and mother and the un-born child would be so much better off if they were to terminate the pregnancy and wait for a more appropriate time, or in the case of rape, put the past behind them and move on. Women should have the choice because not everyone knows what the situation was. In today’s society people have attached shame with the word abortion. When people hear of abortions they automatically assume it was the mothers fault and she didn’t use protection or may...
