The first point that I want to bring is that between 1991 and 2015 that assault weapons didn’t have any major effect on the murder rate of the at the state level and the state that restrictions on the carrying of a concealed weapon having a bigger gun related murders. Not all murders happen because people want to do a crime most of them are in self-defense. “During the same year, 72.9% of homicides were firearm homicides and, of these, approximately 90% were committed with a handgun” (Siegel).
