ABSTRACT: The socialization of youth is currently in crisis. Education is in crisis across the world. The correlation between socialization and education is a crucial theoretical as well as a practical problem. Schools are the main institution of socialization. Education possesses two different functions: social reproduction and development. The way of life in any concrete society requires stable forms of socialization.
The introduction of new generation into the social life—is one of the most ancient and eternal problems of humanity. The topicality of youth's socialization doesn't even grow dim in the present-day conditions but even becomes more acute and problematical character. There are many evidences which prove out it. Don't even remember the notorious problem of «fathers» and «children» it`s enough to say that not only in the course of the last decade one of the main institutes of youth's socialization—education—endures deep and protracted crisis.
The different levels' instances nearly in all countries are busy now with the search of the ways regarding to the solution of the crisis of education and the increase of the effectiveness of the work with the youth. But the decision of these problems hasn't been found yet (see 1). Here we dwell only on some points which are important for understanding of the essence and necessary for the decision of these problems.
In most problems and positions, in which now the processes of education are represented, and it obvious aim, as a rule, it is the development of person. As for the content, it realizes in the study of the bases of the scientific knowledge about the world social invironment, and also at the assimilation of the elementary labour skills, norms and values of the collective activity.
However in connection with increase of standard of scientific equipement of life the content`s space of education is filled up more and more with actual scientific information, thus constantly excluding from it other components with persistence. We see 3 problems here, they are the aim, the completeness and the content of education. Let us dwell on them.
First of all, we must point out that the institute of the socialization had appeared in our society long before the appearance of the necessity of mastering of the science information. Then socialization evoluated in education. Now they are often heard like the synonyms, as a result of not clear and to wide using of them.
It is very common among people to misjudge others prematurely, which are changed once the individual being judged is gotten to know better. Once, Walt Whitman said, “Be curious, not judgmental”. This can be a lesson to a vast number of persons, not excluding Jem and Scout. They are two of the most important characters from the most fiction novel To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, which takes place in the Great depression, in Maycomb, Alabama. Two of the most misunderstood characters in the whole book are Dolphus Raymond, the town drunkard, and Atticus Finch the town lawyer as well as Jem and Scouts “boring” father. Jem and Scout both misjudge Dolphus Raymond and their own father, Atticus, fate decides to oppose them with two events the trial of Tom Robinson, and the disposition of Tim Johnson, and they are forced to change their absurd opinions.
Juveniles are being taught that in order to have a nice car, branded cloths and the house of their dreams, by getting into an expensive mortgage, they have to be an employee of a huge corporation. In addition, they have to undergo to a prestigious school, study hard, have excellent grades in order to become popular and respectable in the world. However, many people would not become those super leaders, but these majority of people have a great role in the capitalism society of the US. As Gatto says, “We buy televisions, and then we buy the things we see on the television. We buy computers, and then we buy the things we see on the computer. We buy $150 sneakers whether we need them or not, and when they fall apart too soon we buy another pair” (38). Such results are in part of a wrong education that teenagers have received trough many decades. In addition, Gatto highlights that modern educational system has been working in a six basic functions methods that makes the system strong and unbreakable: The adjustable function, indulge students to respect authorities. The integrating function, which builds the personality of the students as similar to each other as possible. The diagnostic and directive function, which allows a school to set permanent scholar grades in order to determinate his or her future role in society. The differentiating function, which gives to the student a good education and after his or her role is diagnosed, they prevent any educational progress. The selective function, function that the system has used to prevent academic growth for the non-selected students. The propaedeutic function, which works in the selection of specific groups of intellectual adults to keep perpetuating the system all over again making it a continuous sequence. (Gatto 34). Gatto’s facts revealed the survival of the educational system for decades,
First off, the book being narrated by Scout’s point of view shows how her view of innocence matures and changes as the she grows up. In the beginning of the story, Scout and Jem don’t really see injustices and thinks the world is fair and always a happy place. They have the normal false perception of childhood innocence that shape their
In BBC’s episodes of Sherlock, “The Blind Banker”, “The Great Game”, and “A Scandal in Belgravia”, the writers changed some of the source materials of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s “The Dancing Men”, “The Bruce-Partington Plans”, and “A Scandal in Bohemia”, in order to modernize some of the central themes of the stories. The writers of Sherlock kept the material that would continue to resonate with the modern viewers of the show as passionately as Doyle intended to have his novels resonate with his Victorian audience. The changes that were made bring out other, more pertinent themes to modern society, while still keeping most of Doyle’s original messages intact. Naturally, there are some differences that will be present in these works due to the decision of the writers of the television series to bring Sherlock into the modern era in terms of setting. These differences and the changes made to the existing source material are not meant to take away from Doyle’s work, but add to it and encourage the audience to connect to the characters and adventures of the works.
Sherlock Holmes and his methods have been criticized since the beginning. A news article titled Every Man His Own Holmes was published in the New York Times in 1894 after the first Holmes story “A Study in Scarlet” swept the public away. In this piece this editor describes the epidemic Holmes has caused:
The education system and the peer group within the school system are important socialisation agents in an individual’s life. Children from an early age absorb the values, attitudes and beliefs of the society in which they participate (Ashman & Elkins, 2009).
...reatise of Government, in Locke's Two Treatises of Government, ed. Peter Laslett, Cambridge: The University Press, 1960, p. 287.
...usion. In terms of the third argument, I point out particular groups which defined as educated and uneducated people. In my argument, I argue that uneducated people could become social unstable factors. From this specific perspective, I conduct that lower marks could help these people to establish correct values and morals. During I produce my argument, I apply diagrammatical method to analyse whether my argument is valid or not. In order to reinforce my position, I have done some research before I compose my work. I find an advantageous evidence to support my view. This is an education policy which is put forward by the Federal Government to boost educational reform. The aim of this policy is to expand enrolment from disadvantaged students. I think this evidence could help me to back up my opinion, thus, I put this in my last paragraph to reiterate my main thesis.
Sherlock Holmes, one of the most famous fictional characters in literary history is a detective capable of solving the most complex mysteries. The author behind the character, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle is a very successful British writer. The majority of his literary success is due to his crime-fiction tales such as the Sherlock Holmes series. However, Mr. Doyle and Mr. Holmes himself must not take all the credit because there is another character that plays a major role in the stories success. He goes by the name of Dr. Watson, Holmes’ sidekick. The importance of Dr. Watson is evident in many of Doyle’s stories such as A Scandal in Bohemia and A Study in Scarlett.
Mr. Russell’s A History of Western Philosophy enlightened my deep thinking about truth. Then I read Mr. Rousseau 's of the Social Contract, or Principles of Political Right, and became a believer of social contract theory; I also self-studied some of Weber’s, Marx’s and Durkheim’s sociology thoughts, but the two-year preparation for Master study put an abeyance on my reading plan. Regarding to the educational philosophy, I self-studied the thoughts as ancient as Quintilian’s and Comenius’s, and as modern as Horace Mann’s, Dewey’s and Dr. Weis’ educational thoughts. Moreover, my teaching and administrating experience in both private for-profit education organization and in public schools in China plus the study of the real-life problems and contemporary researches in UB, generate a deep feeling that education studies should become an independent, open and scientific field of study. Furthermore, during my master study, I encountered numerous materials about social injustice, cultural prejudice, racial discrimination and political corruption which are all jeopardizing education practices, but most of our debates in the classroom were difficult to generate constructive suggestion. It is always good to have different opinions, but our discussions rely too heavily on individual’s life experience and it is no doubt that when the empiricism prevails, science dims. This observation motivates me to explore the education studies in a more scientific way. I hope my future effort will enable people to discuss and solve education problems on a scientific track, so that the education system in human society will be the secure for educating the “ideal human

2. Education plays a major part in our socialization by providing acting as a social institution. By this I mean it is a place from which we draw interaction that stimulates us to further develop as social beings. Schools provide a uniform behavioral learning pattern in relating to socialization that is not found within different families. This helps the children achieve a social "common ground" with which to base their relationships and interactions amongst each other.

The environment through which education is realized is critical for the learning children. In this aspect, there exist many forms of schooling that support education of children; public schooling, home schooling and private schooling. However, each method of schooling has its own advantages and disadvantages compared to other schooling methods. The above arguments are based on both home schooling and public schooling. Each schooling method focuses on pertinent issues that make the method as the most ideal compared to the other. Moreover, these arguments focus in realization of specific goals of education and education environments as indicated in each subheading.
It is noticeable that the system of education is changing from time to time based on financial issues and how the world is growing. In the past, individuals taught the education system from the oldest member of the family to children, and their members were charging fees from the families that sent their children to them. Which meant that education was an important thing in all ages. Nowadays, the education is shaped to an official system run by professional people in governments and many countries invest high amounts towards education which makes evidence of how important it is in our current life. Every country has a different system of education based on their financial stability, government infrastructure and the standard of the government officials. It is noticeable that there is a big difference between the education in developing countries and the prevailing system in developed countries .In my essay I will discuss some reasons for these differences...
