Education is one of the main ingredients in forming a successful society. Our education system here in the USA is very complex and does a wonderful job of teaching our youth. There are four major subjects in the curriculum, English, Math, History and Science but the other aspects of our students’ education are vastly important as well. I believe that the Arts and other skills have to be incorporated into our education system in order to create well-rounded students. I also feel that enhancement of the body (Physical education) goes hand in hand with enhancement of the mind and also can not be overlooked in educating our students.
I believe the roles of the teacher in education are critical, not only in the students’ learning but on the students’ lives as well. Teachers must obviously be very knowledgeable in their field, but there is much more to teaching than that. The overall role of a teacher is to impart knowledge to learners in order for them to achieve. However, specific roles and responsibilities are many and varied. A teacher is responsible for ensuring they have an extensive knowledge of the subject which they teach in order to ensure learners receive correct information. An adequately prepared teacher is able to share additional knowledge with their learners and give relevant and up to date examples.

Those qualities discussed and I believe important are giving the students an opportunity to excel, it provides the students to have social skills needed and provides the exercise that children need daily by physical education. Teachers serve as the guiding force in a student’s life. They are responsible for molding a student’s personality and shaping his/her mental orientation. The role and responsibilities of a teacher is very complex. Teachers are responsible for making sure their learners acquire the knowledge they need, but also achieve their qualification by the end of the course in a safe learning environment, so they have the skills and experience they need to start their careers. To achieve that goal a teacher must be creative, professional, flexible and knowledgeable enough to deal with daily challenges and find different ways to help their learners needs. Establishing a safe and stimulating environment for learners, creating mutual respect and set goals that stretch and challenge learners of all backgrounds and abilities.
Teachers hold a very sensitive role in the modern civilized society. Regarded as social engineers, teachers possess immense knowledge on various issues that affect our daily lives as a community of human beings. Though in many countries including the developed ones, teachers are poorly remunerated they make invaluable contributions to their communities, to society and to the world at large, engaging in yeoman services with selfless love and dedication that could only be considered priceless.
