In communications revolutions, first there was the telegraph, then the radio, the newspaper, magazines, television and now the internet. We live in a society that depends on information and communication to keep moving in the right direction and do our daily activities like work, health care, education, personal relationships, and anything else that we have to do. What we need to be aware is that most of our decisions, beliefs and values are based on what we know for a fact; our assumptions and our own experience. In our work we usually know what we have to do based on our experience and studies, however in our daily lives we rely on the media to get the current news and facts about what is important and what we should be aware of. What effect does the social media have on people? Is the social media bringing convenience to people? Nowadays, social media and technology have become a necessary part of almost any field. There are not many activities that are not affected by it. It affects health, education, communication and so on. All they show us that importance and threats of social media, we need to treat it properly. (maybe end the thesis with this instead - “Despite the positive effects of internet technology however, there are dangers if we don’t use it properly and productively.”)
