The Personality Of Anakin Skywalker In Star Wars

Anakin Skywalker is a fictional character in famous Star Wars movies. Also known as Darth Vader. On this paper I will examine his personality based on the prequel trilogy, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. I will start by summarizing the relevant parts of trilogy about his actions, thoughts also important figures and events in his life in order the make a ground for personality assessment.
At the first movie, The Phantom Menace, Anakin Skywalker is a nine-year-old slave, living on the planet called Tatooine with his mother Shmi. According to the story, he has no father and never had one. He have certain skills, able to see things before they happen, skillful engineer and pilot considering his age. After he meets Qui-Gon, a jedi master, his life have changed. He separates from his mother and leaves with Qui-Gon in order to be trained as a jedi. Other important figures in his life are Padme and Obi-Wan Kenobi. Padme is

queen of planet Naboo and about one or two years older than Anakin. He develops a close bond with Padme, while they are trying to save her planet from the invasion of Trade Federation. Obi-Wan Kenobi is apprentice of Qui-Gon until he is killed at the end of the movie. After Qui-Gon’s death, Jedi Council promoted him mastership and he takes Anakin as his apprentice.
At the second movie, Attack of the Clones, Anakin is 21 years old and still an apprentice under Obi-Wan Kenobi.

They are assigned to protect Padme for a possible assassination attempts. After a while Obi-Wan leaves them for another mission so Padme and Anakin develop their bond even further. They fall in love. While Anakin on Naboo with Padme, he senses that his mother is danger and they go back to Tatooine to see her. Short after they arrived Anakin finds out that his mother kidnapped by the bandits. He finds Shmi at bandits’ camp right before she dies. On that moment Anakin feels great sadness and anger, he lost his control and killed all the bandits including their wives and babies. After that, they reunited with Obi-Wan Kenobi. They send on a mission to capture an evil character called Count Dooku but they fail. Anakin lost his arm in the mission. After that, Anakin marries Padme in a secret ceremony because a Jedi does not allow to have a

family.
At the third movie, Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin lead a rescue mission to save Senator Palpatine, three years after the marriage. While on a mission, Anakin defeats Kont Dooku but instead of capturing him, he cannot resist his urges and killed him with cold blood. When they got back, Padme tells Anakin that she is pregnant. That night, he has a vision of Padmé dying in childbirth that he fears will come true. Due to his fear and Palpatine’s manipulations he convinced himself the only way to save Padme is turn to dark side and learn immortality. On Palpatine's orders, Anakin leads a battalion of clone troopers to kill everyone in the Jedi Temple including young children. After Obi-Wan finds out his treachery stand against Anakin and defeat him.
