Freedom makes people feel a life; L.I.F.E means live in freedom every day. However, what is freedom? Is freedom “the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint” (Google)? Or, is it “the right to do or say what you want” (Bradbery 290)? So, I think both of them are right. Freedom means many things for a lot of people; it may a feeling, a dream, and a goal that a lot of people fight for, in many centuries. Today, a lot of countries agree that freedom is a key of a successful country because it creates a better environment to live for people, make people more satisfied with their live, open mind to design the future and choice the own way to live. For example, America, United Kingdom, France, South Korea, Japan, Singapore are some of higher freedom country. The people in these countries are really satisfied with their life, and a lot of them have a good future also. Also, the economic, in these countries, are often higher than other countries, had less freedom, such as North Korea. On the other hand, if people live without freedom, they will become hopeless, stressful, unhappy, feel lost, no voice, and no choice in their society. However, throughout the human history, many people are fighting for the equality society. For example, Martin Luther King Jr. is a famous person, who fought for the Civil Rights in America. In the article “I Have a Dream,” he says “I have a dream that […] one day right there in Alabama little black boys and little black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers”(Barnet 689.) This is a hope, a dream, admire about equality of King, and I think of a lot of American and people in the world. Thus, Equality is important and necessary to create an ideal society where people, from different countries, different skin colors, or different classes, are all
Equality appears to be the ideal factor that can perfect a society. It eliminates the need to feel envious of any human or their qualities. Nevertheless, with impartiality comes lack of diversity and ambition. Inequality is the entity that provides individuals with the passion to strive for a better life. If everyone has already reached their full potential there is no purpose for living.
According to Dictionary.com freedom means “the state of being uncontrolled by another, or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint.” Freedom. What does freedom mean to you? Even though freedom means the state of being uncontrolled by another, or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint, I believe that freedom means being able to accomplish what you desire and when you desire it without anyone saying anything, by reason of the comparison and contrast of our society and the society in the book Anthem by Ayn Rand, the negation of the word freedom, and synonyms of the word freedom. I believe that you should accept the consequences of the actions you take when you have your “freedom” as well.
According to the Collins Dictionary, “freedom” is defined as “the state of being allowed to do what you want to do”(“freedom”). The definition of freedom is simple, but make yourself free is not easy. Concerning about some common cases which will take away your freedom, such as a time-cost high education attainment. In this essay, I shall persuade that everyone should try his or her best to insist on pursuing freedom. For the individual, it appears that only if you have your personal freedom, can you have a dream; for a country, it seems that only if the country is free, can the country develop; for mankind, it looks like that only if people has their own pursuit of freedom, can their thoughts evolve.
God has given us as human beings free will. Although if we make choices based on our own free will we must be willing to take the responsibility for the effects that our decisions have on ourselves, on the people around us, and on society itself. Freedom, I believe, is the way in which people live or behave without others annoying or interfering in his or her affairs. People should benefit from freedom, equality and justice. Absolute freedom is sometimes very dangerous and may destroy the basic principles of the society. A lot of people believe that freedom means doing whatever you want, whenever you want.
Equality is about an individual’s rights, giving people choices and respect. It is about ‘creating a fairer society, where everyone can participate and has the opportunity to fulfil their potential’ (DoH, 2004).
The notion of freedom can mean different things to different people, it all depends on the level of freedom you have over your own life. It could be freedom of speech, religious freedom, freedom of the press or even freedom of economy. However you see it they all seem to describe a sense of personal freedom, which no doubt everybody wants, but only some seem to have. No other democratic society in the world allows personal freedoms to the degree of the United States of America. They have been able to establish a set of legal rules that systematically protects all forms of freedom. Freedom remains the lone basis for American society as we know it. Without freedom the great nation of America would have never been created. Just as how the United States is seen by the American population to symbolise freedom and independence, it also stands to mean the same thing to many other countries around the world. Having your own freedom and the ability to exercise your rights in your own country, is something that is synonymous with the Unites States.
Everyone has the ability to be a functioning member of society, despite any dissimilarity or obstacles in their life; diverse individuals who stand out are often taken advantage of and targeted. Equality is a right that everyone should be entitled to on all levels, despite gender or any mental, physical or developmental differences.
Freedom is not a reward or a decoration that is celebrated with champagne...Oh no! It's a...long distance race, quite solitary and very exhausting." -Albert Camus. The dictionary defines freedom as the condition of being free from restraints. Freedom is not just a word one can say without meaning. It is a privilege, a privilege not everyone is granted. Freedom gives the liberty to choose what should is done and how.
Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think as one wants without hindrance or restraint. In America there is numerous of choices that someone may make on a daily basis. If someone were allowed to make their own choices and were being told what to do; then they would not be free. When someone is allowed to speak when they want to, and say what they want; such as their opinion or view of something. Being allowed to have a right to speak is one of the most important characteristics of being an American. Thinking and stating your opinion in any predicament it a strong part in being a citizen because people in the United States are known for being able to think in their own ways. Freedom can stretch too many things such as being able to do as they please, they are not forced into doing anything that someone may want. The citizens of the United States are not made to do anything that one may not want to do; like
Humans, since the beginning of our first civilization and throughout the history of mankind, have always strived for a perfect world that would secure our society’s interests. Whether they are beneficial to a small group or the whole society, those interests will guide and shape the future of this new society. However, at the same time, human history has also witnessed great turmoil and many setbacks in our society ranging from small-scale problems such as immorality, variant of discriminations, financial crisis to
Freedom is having the right to own, act, think, and speak without any restrictions from the outside. Ever since the New World was discovered, people have been fighting for their independence till this day. People of other colors and race have been forced to do labor without their consent. Today, those same people have been blamed or accused of crimes that were not committed by them despite of being free. Freedom has different meanings and those meanings change overtime; however sometimes the significance of freedom does not change.

The question, “ What makes a good society” is never the same for every individual that comes across trying to answer this sociological question. What may work in one society, may not work in another. But I am guessing you already new that. Depending on the type of culture, location and era; a good society can be anything. If you were to have been raised in the western side of the world, your good society is one of a democracy. Where the people have power and we have checks and balances in our government. But what if you were raised in the east, were people live in a socialist-communistic society. Where the government has the power and people are treated equally. Who is to say which type of society is “good”?
Firstly Freedom is an absolute right and obligation to the humanity as we were born to be free not because we had some differences in us for example someone being the rich or someone being poor, freedom is also defined as a natural right by some but it is rather a complex matter in some countries not because they lack behind in resources or anything that can contribute in the welfare and freedom of the society but rather what is missing in awareness of its importance of having freedom. The design or idea which is in freedom is that it gives us the privileges to express ourselves by ultimately understanding that all humans have some desires, goals and standards which has to be respected despite of his/her difference in the society where they belong to.
