The kids in school looked at the writer differently and bullied because of the difference. Two other children were added to the family and I knew that sharing my mother with them would not be a problem because she had enough love to go around, but my older sister still could not see it. By now the writer old sister was rebellious and sexually active. Ephesian 6:1-3 did not matter to the writer’s old sister, she did not honor anyone. One Friday night, this writer tarried for the Holy Spirit to come and take control, and I received salvation that night. He believes that there 's not just one 'God ' part of the brain and that when you fully engage the mind, which we typically see in spiritual practices, it activates various parts of the brain in a robust and fundamental way. In Andrew Newberg 's study, they took people who had never done meditative practices, scanned them and then trained them in simple meditative techniques. Newberg discovered that one of the most important areas affected during meditation is the frontal lobe of the brain, which helps to focus attention. In our busy life it is too easy to fill our day with activity and to not take time out to meditate, pray, and contemplate the beauty of our world and the glorious life that we have. By meditating and praying on a daily basis will make a positive difference in the world as well as achieve greater peace (Helliwel, 2011). I learned numerous strategies and standards through my years. My childhood influenced how I would development through my lifespan. Looking back in my life, I am grateful for the good and the bad situations I experienced. These situations made me who I am today. Life is not simple and easy, as a person you have to learn all aspects of what life happenstances brings you. There are no perfect people in the world, so everyone has to go through situations to realize the decisions you have to make. In my mid-fifties, I have more of a cautious mindset. I know that any decisions I make will either push me forward or bring me down. Human development is about growing, growing into who you are. I still have more to learn as I move into the other stages of my life, but having the knowledge and faith in God I can only more forward and be a better me.
