The Opposition of Abortion
We, human beings, are social animals, which can not live alone. We all must live in a group because each of us depends on each other. Not only that, living in a group, you need to have rules and regulations in order to keep social stabilities and orders. There are many kinds of rules and regulations, some result in physical punishment and some result in social punishment in the form of peer disapproval. Where do they come from? In fact, they came from the decisions made by the majority of people in the society. There are some actions that result in various punishments and an example of this kind of punishment is abortion.
The meaning of abortion is very obvious, abortion is the ending of a pregnancy before birth, and it causes the embryo or fetus to die. Abortion has been a topic of argument for very long time. People disagree on two basic questions. The first question is whether the law should permit a woman to have an abortion or not and, if is so, in what circumstance. The other is whether the law should protect the unborn.
Arguments against abortion are generally based on humanity, on the belief that an abortion is the iniquitous killing of an unborn child. The groups of people who are against abortion believe that the life begins as soon as the egg is fertilized with the sperm. Therefore, it is like murdering an innocent life in a mother's womb. They think that the human embryos should have the right to live and experience this wonderful world.
Arguments for abortion, many people would allow abortion in only some circumstances. Some of the approval, a woman's life or health is endangered by the pregnancy for example if the woman has serious heart attack; doctor will not allow her to deliver the baby. Other find abortion permissible like when the medical tests are predicted that the child will has short life or born with a serious physical problem. Some people think that the woman should have an abortion, when she was raped and accidentally get pregnant. Imagine that motorcycle riders raped your daughter and get pregnant, would you, as her father, like to keep that child. Others believe that a woman should have right to an abortion, which I think it is the most important, especially when the family can't support the additional member.
Abortion refers to the termination of one’s pregnancy, resulting in the removal of one’s fetus to prevent it from being born. While the concept is simple enough, the crux of the argument lies in the morality of this procedure and whether or not a woman should be allowed to sacrifice a fetus to better her own life. Abortion must continue to be legalized in order to ensure that women have that choice.
Abortion is a very strong issue in our society today and is an on-going issue in most areas of the world. An abortion, for those who don't know the term, is where a pregnant female medically terminates a fetus or has a miscarriage. With the many recent controversies about abortion in the recent years, society has split in two on the subject. There are the Anti-abortionists, the people whom are against the termination of the fetus. And the Pro-abortionists, those who are for the abortion of the fetus. Even though it may seem like a black and white matter, it does certainly have a gray area for both sides. From health issues, laws being implemented, or the different methods of preventing pregnancies, there are many views from the women on this matter.
Whether or not abortion is morally right or wrong, the fact remains that a woman
The first side of the argument, which opposes abortion, is called pro-life. Essentially, they value a fetuses life more than a woman’s right to choose what to do with her body. To these activists, choosing abortion is the equivalent to murder, and that they are “playing god” by aborting their children. They also feel that on the other hand that abortion is a dangerous procedure, and puts the mother at risk (hli.org 3). Anti-abortion leaders argue that there are alternatives to abortion, such as adoption. Adoption may provide a warm and happy home, (although often times they are placed in uncaring home...
Abortion, by definition, is the termination of a pregnancy by the removal or expulsion from the uterus of a fetus or embryo, resulting in or caused by its death (Abortion). Abortion has been around for years, and is one of the top most discussed issues in America where approximately 1.3 million abortions performed each year (Jensen). In the United States, 9 out of 10 abortions are performed in the
As defined by the Merriam- Webster dictionary, abortion is “the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by resulting in or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus as a spontaneous expulsion of a human fetus during
Choice, what is choice? Choice is the right, power, or opportunity to choose. Everybody in society has a choice and these choices have many outcomes. A woman’s right to choose to have an abortion or not, is her fundamental right. If society outlaws abortion, society is interfering with the woman’s right to make decisions related to her own body. Many theorists believe that sexuality is what divides women from men and makes women less valuable than men; keeping this concept in mind it can be said that gender plays an immense role in social inequality. In one of Thomas Jefferson’s speeches, he explains how we should never put at risk our rights because our freedom can be next. (lp. org 2007) Roe.V .Wade is believed to have been the United States Supreme Court’s decision that resulted in the dawn of the abortion controversy between pro-choice and pro-life advocates, and whether what the woman is carrying is simply just a fetus or a life, the debate is endless. The social-conflict theory reflects the inequality women face regarding abortion in society which brings about a negative change. If a woman’s right to choose would be taken from her then this would cause social inequity. Taking a women’s right to choose would mean taking her freedom and taking freedom away from any human being would imply inequality.
Abortion is a voluminous topic today all around the world. Differing viewpoints on abortion are recognized in politics, religion, and throughout the general population. There is a small amount of people who are nonchalant on the subject. Women have abortions for many different reasons and according to certain groups these reasons are either justified or not. Everyone tends to have their own articulated opinion, and many vocalize tenaciously what they believe. Pro-life individuals along with religion are sanguine that abortion is ethically and morally erroneous. Whereas those who are pro-choice say that abortion is inconsequential and the mother’s choice is more important than the fetus. Reasons to not get an abortion include risks involved in receiving an abortion. In some cases death can occur. However, there are other alternatives to abortion. For example, raising the child and adoption.
With the ongoing debate and the advancement of technology in determining the viability of a fetus, abortion, the ending of a pregnancy by removing a fertilized egg, has become increasingly controversial. The morality of abortion has caused many to separate into opposite sides of the spectrum, pro-life and pro-choice. The arguments over abortion has stirred a continuous debate between a pro-choice stance such as that presented by the analogical reasoning of Thomson or Glover’s examination of social context and a pro-life position argued by a moral view of personhood by Noonan. The ethical arguments presented by the conflicting views in the abortion debate has caused others to taken into consideration a sociological account visible in Luker’s examinations of world views in order to discover underlying motivations.
Aborting an unborn fetus is not an activity that happens once and it is done, it continues to dwell on all of the individuals involved with the process. Abortion is a cruel action to perform and has other options. Individuals who are pro-life consider the fact that even as a young fetus, it is a human being. Abortion is a very controversial topic. There are many different aspects to consider before receiving an abortion; cultural opinions, psychological effects on the woman, and the termination of an already developing fetus. Abortion not only takes away individual tissues forming, it has the potential to take away a future friend, sibling or spouse.
One of the most controversial issues in this day and age is the stance people take on abortion. The two main positions that people take are either of pro-choice or pro-life; both sides, although polar opposites, tend to refer to both the issue of morality and logical rationale. The pro-life side of the debate believes that abortion is an utterly immoral practice that should be abolished. On the contrary, abortion should remain a legal procedure because it is a reproductive right; its eradication would not only take away the pregnant person’s autonomy, but would also put more children in financially unstable homes and the adoption system, and would cause an increase in potentially fatal, unsafe abortions.
Abortion is a medical procedure to end a pregnancy. It has become one of the most controversial issues out there. Many people have strong feelings and beliefs for or against it. There are also people on both sides, in my case I am against abortion and for the rest of my life will. Abortion is murder, a killing of an innocent human beings unable to make decisions for themselves. Life begins at conception, and for that reason unborn babies are human beings with the right to live. An unborn baby is capable of feeling pain so they feel an enormous pain during the abortion procedure. In addition, abortion is an extremely dangerous procedure that has many risks. Why would you take away someone’s life when there are many options to
Abortion has been one of the most talked about topics in society just about anywhere from television, magazines, whether or not it should be the right or wrong thing to do. Abortion is a very sensitive issue to discuss, because of its nature. Many people have said that abortion is a very bad thing to do and it should not even be choice whether or not to abort a living fetus. People think that abortion is committing murder as it is killing the human fetus. However, others feel that a woman should have a voice and have the right to choose to keep the child or not and that it is not murder until the baby is born. Majority of individuals who believe that abortion is bad say that the fetus is human who is partly being formed and to have an abortion is considered to be murder. For the people who think an abortion is ok, say that it’s not considered murder unless the child is born. I believe that abortion should be seen in which the stage the fetus is in. if the fetus is in an early stage of pregnancy it is not considered murder, but if the fetus has already began to develop into a larger fetus then it is indeed considered to be murder. There are times when abortion can be accepted, if the mother is having complications due to pregnancy. For example if the mother is enduring complications in her pregnancy that can harm her, because of the child in that case it is ok to perform an abortion to help save the mother’s life. It is also very important to understand this type of situation. The mother has the right to have an abortion and it is her decision because a mother knows best about her health conditions.
Abortion by definition means the way of ending pregnancy by removing fetus from the womb before it is able to survive independently. Abortion is an extremely debatable issue because while some people are completely against it, others believe that a woman should have the right to choose. Abortion decision is like killing own child or killing an innocent human life before coming out from uterus. I will explain how a human life is being destroyed, the process in which they destroy the fetus, and how to avoid this situation all together I believe that abortion is morally impermissible.

Abortion is the end of a pregnancy that is normally chosen by the mother, but is also known as a miscarriage.
