The Occurence of Kristallnact A) Source A is a summery by an historian, Fritz Hesse's. The source was wrote in 1954, the fact that the night of the long knives took place on November 7th 1938 does not make this source any more reliable. In this source Hesse speaks of what we know that really happened. This is that the attack was carried out by SS and SA troops out of uniform. Hesse quotes " Hitler squealed with delight and slapped his leg with enthusiasm" this makes me as the reader think that Hesse was an eyewitness but there is nothing to support this. This account was wrote 16 years after the nazi downfall, which meant that because Hitler wasn't about Hesse had the freedom to express his views of what actually did happen. Source B was from a secret report prepared by the Nazi party supreme court. This account was form an actual report by the Nazi's. It was meant for only high leading Nazi men, not for the public eye. In the account it expresses the views from the Nazi opinion to change what they did to blame it on other going on's. Everything that is mentioned in the account we know went on at the time of Kristallnact and the report was wrote immediately after Kristallnact happened In conclusion I feel that source B is he most reliable. Although they are both quite reliable and they both relate to each other, source B has more relevance. The fact that source A was wrote 16 years after Kristallnact happened and source B was wrote straight after Kristallnact. Source B suggests that Hitler had nothing to do with the riots. We can tell this when the report quotes "The Fuhrer, at Goebbels' suggestion, had decided that such demonstrations were not to be organized by the party". An the fact that this was a secret report that only went out to supreme Nazi leaders is a major benefactor to the source. So I can now say that source B would be the more reliable
Secondary sources of literature are primarily written by journalists and does not report an original finding, but rather relies on an original source to provide information that can be used as background material. To use it correctly, one must first distinguish it from primary sources and understand that secondary sources alone cannot sufficiently and
After listening to a testimony from Ralph Fischer, a Holocaust survivor I have gained a new level of understanding to what happened in those few years of terror when the Nazi party was at power. On top of that I have learned that they are just like other people in many different ways. As a child, Ralph went to school, played with friends, and spent time with his family. All that is comparable to any other modern-day child. However, as the Nazi party rose to power he was often bullied, left out, or even beat for being Jew. Although not as extreme, I have often been mistreated because I was different, and it’s easy to understand the pain of being left out just because you are not the same. Eventually he had to drop out of school and then had

To collect my information I used a variety of sources and methods. These consisted of:
Under a backdrop of systematic fear and terror, the Stalinist juggernaut flourished. Stalin’s purges, otherwise known as the “Great Terror”, grew from his obsession and desire for sole dictatorship, marking a period of extreme persecution and oppression in the Soviet Union during the late 1930s. “The purges did not merely remove potential enemies. They also raised up a new ruling elite which Stalin had reason to think he would find more dependable.” (Historian David Christian, 1994). While Stalin purged virtually all his potential enemies, he not only profited from removing his long-term opponents, but in doing so, also caused fear in future ones. This created a party that had virtually no opposition, a new ruling elite that would be unstoppable, and in turn negatively impacted a range of sections such as the Communist Party, the people of Russia and the progress in the Soviet community, as well as the military in late 1930 Soviet society.
Operation Valkyrie was an assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler on July 20, 1944. After many aborted attempts of the assassination, Claus von Stauffenburg carried a briefcase with a ticking bomb inside into a conference room with Hitler and about twenty others. Stauffenburg and the other plotters planned to kill Hitler and take over the German government to assume control of the government, end eventually end the war. Even though Germany was already committed to World War II, Operation Valkyrie would have altered the course of the war, had it been successful.
...a known source but usually the source is obvious. Lastly, black leaflets have a stated source which, however, is false. For example, the Allies invented non-existent anti-Nazi groups in Germany. On these leaflets Allied powers printed false information that attempted to challenge Hitler and the Nazis in attempt to lead others into rebellion.
In January of 1933, Adolf Hitler was sworn in as chancellor of Germany. At the time Hitler assumed power, the German government was suffering due to the Great Depression caused by World War 1. Hitler, a man who had spent the entirety of his political career denouncing and attempting to destroy the German Republic, was now the leader of said Republic. Hitler was widely supported by his Nazi party. Hitler was very vocal in letting his displeasures be known and his people believed his repeated promises to get rid of the Treaty of Versailles and enlarge the army. All of his promises were made in order to bring back Germany's former glory. However, almost immediately upon becoming the Chancellor of Germany, Hitler began taking legal actions against Germany's Jewish population.
Is there sufficient evidence in sources A to F to support this interpretation? Use the sources and knowledge from your studies to explain your answer
Kristallnacht, a wave of violent anti-Jewish pogroms, took place on November 9 and 10, 1938 and is often referred to as the "Night of Broken Glass." Organized by Goebbels and Heydrich, head of the Security Service, the campaign of violence resulted in the destruction of many synagogues and thousands of Jewish businesses. Nazis in Germany torched synagogues, vandalized Jewish homes, schools and businesses, killed close to 100 Jews, and sent more than 30,000 to Nazi concentration camps. Starting on November 9 and continuing into the next day, Nazi mobs vandalized and even burned down hundreds of synagogues throughout Germany and damaged, if not completely destroyed, thousands of Jewish homes, schools, businesses, hospitals and cemeteries.
For my third source I used information from a book rather than a journal or a book review so I could get different information on the topic.
“Stalingrad is the scene of the costliest and most stubborn battle in this war. The battle fought there to its desperate finish may turn out to be among the decisive battles in the long history of war…In the scale of its intensity, its destructiveness, and its horror, Stalingrad has no parallel. It engaged the full strength of the two biggest armies in Europe and could fit into no lesser framework than that of a life-and death conflict which encompasses the earth”
The battle of Stalingrad may have very well been the most important battle over the course of World War II. Not necessarily remembered for its course of fighting, the battle is more known for its outcome. Not only did the battle turn out to be a major turning point in the war, it may have saved most of Eastern Europe from incomparable destruction. The battle included two of the biggest political and military icons of their time, Stalin and Hitler.
The Olympic Games of Munich started like any other, the parade of nations, proud representatives filled with dreams of gold medals and strong finishes. A moment of glory and hopefully standing tall on the podium as their flag is raised. This is a time when nations come together in peace to show the power of human achievement through sport. It did not happen that way.
The Holocaust, genocide, the Final Solution, or World War II; it doesn't matter what you call it, nothing can make the horrific events that occurred any less terrible. From 1939 to 1945 a raging war between the Allies and Axis powers. The Allies, who were made up of the United States of America, led by President Franklin Delanor Roosevelt, the Soviet Union, led by Joseph Stalin, and Great Britain, led by Winston Churchill. The Allies were trying to defeat the Axis powers made up of Germany, led by the heinous dictator Adolf Hitler, Italy, led by Benito Mussolini, and Japan, led by Hideki Tojo. The war resulted in many casualties, many by civilians who had to part in the conflict. The events that occurred will be remembered forever in text, pictures, and in the mind of those who lived it.
