The North Sea
Since the first warning of the increasing pollution in the North Sea
by scientists and environmentalists in 1967, three and half decades
have past. Has the Pollution in the North Seabeen improved since then,
or even worse? Obviously the conditions are getting worse as the North
Sea is known as the cesspit of Europe.
As the North Sea is invaluable in both its beauty and wealth, not only
to people living around but also to the whole Europe, an important
enquiry on the pollution in the North Sea has been done. In order to
assess each aspect of the big issue, the mini enquiry questions have
been arisen before starting the investigation.
1. What countries give out the pollution into the North Sea?
2. What are the causes of pollution in the North Sea?
3. What groups of people are responsible for the pollution?
4. Who or what are affected?
5. What events happened in the past, have polluted the North Sea?
6. Why oil tankers are still allowed?
7. Why is it important to prevent pollution?
8. In order to reduce or prevent further pollutions in the North Sea,
what actions should, or must be taken by both governments and
polluters?
9. What are the attitudes the people in Europe should have and what is
the value of the attitudes in reducing pollution of the North Sea?
In my opinion, above mini questions have covered the most important
aspects, including the problems, the causes and effects, as well as
the future options for the managements of the North Sea. It would help
me to answer the main question - Why is the North Sea known as the
cesspit of Europe?
The North Sea situates in the North Eu...

Cromer is an affluent suburb of Sydney, considered part of the Northern Beaches due to its proximity to the beaches. It’s also only about 20 kilometres from Sydney’s CBD. Cromer has its own small shopping precinct with a few local shops and cafes and restaurants sprinkled about the community. There are multiple sports facilities in the local parks and reserves that features areas where you can picnic, barbeque, take a walk, or take the kids to the playground. Margaret Hale in Elizabeth Gaskell’s novel North and South exemplifies the new type of woman a mid-nineteenth century woman should emulate. The contemporary woman is capable of balancing being a dutiful, generous, just woman while also satisfying her own passion, intellect, and moral activity. England needs women that can manifest their innate ability to sympathize with a capacity to change and adapt. The progressive world will require the modern woman to redefine the norms of social life.

Technology Is What You Make It The articles “How Computers Change the Way We Think” by Sherry Turkle and “Electronic Intimacy” by Christine Rosen argue that technology is quite damaging to society as a whole and that even though it can at times be helpful it is more damaging. I have to agree and disagree with this because it really just depends on how it is used and it can damage or help the user. The progressing changes in technology, like social media, can both push us, as a society, further and closer to and from each other and personal connections because it has become a tool that can be manipulated to help or hurt our relationships and us as human beings who are capable of more with and without technology. Technology makes things more efficient and instantaneous.

This subcategory focuses on studying ocean and atmosphere interaction, and in turn how it affects and shapes our world. One main reason it is important is , because it is essential to Earth’s climate and weather. The ocean is crucial to heating the planet along with causing changes in the weather. When ocean water evaporates, it makes the air warmer and humid, which in turn causes rain and storms. Along with this, ocean currents act as transport vessels for warm water. They distribute the warm water from the equator up and outward to the poles. This keeps the equator and other areas from having extreme
Norway is one of the “three fingers” of Scandinavia, and is just larger than New Mexico. It covers 125,181 square miles. It is located in Northern Europe, bordering the North Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean. The coastline stretches 21,925 km. The population of Norway is 4.3 million and growing. The population is predominantly or Nordic (Scandinavian) decent. There is also a small minority (20,000) of native Sámis (Laplanders), who live mostly in the North. For centuries, humans have committed the act of piracy whether they knew it or not. By stealing another fisherman’s goods, or just taking the lives of members at sea. But now and days the world relies on shipping as a main source for transportation. If any flaw or error is made during the shipping it affects people, business, and possibly you. Next time you order from around the world remember that the people who are on those ships with your goods may have to put their lives at risk of being captured or killed by Pirates of the sea. Act of piracy, a crime in which a group of criminals attempt to hijack a cruise line or cargo ship, has become an uprising occurrence in the 21st century, and with advancements in technology, is getting easier not only to capture them but for the criminals themselves. Earth is the only planet in the Solar System that has liquid water. The ocean contains ninety seven percent of the earth’s water and covers almost three quarters of the planet. There are four different oceans, the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, and the Arctic. Tides and currents occur in all three of these oceans. Many different kinds of fish and mammals also make their homes in these oceans. All of these oceans are connected to each other in some way. Humans find oceans to be very interesting, beautiful, and exploring.
