Leadership
Leadership is an important soft skill that engineers need to know, as working in groups will be a common occurrence in any industry. Leadership is a skill that blends or integrates of a variety of communication and teamwork skills. Leading a group of people is about successfully interacting with them and getting the best results out of a group with different strengths and weaknesses.
This makes leadership a key soft skill for Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) professionals who intend to work in successful collaborations [David Butcher, 2013], which should be everyone. A few specific, and important leadership roles are the ability to assess risk and take initiative, which can lead into critical thinking, the willingness to make

False Information: This is probably the most obvious as to why it has negative ethical implications and a hard topic to defend 2. Silence or Omission: Not coming forward or withholding important information can be highly unethical if it leads to harm or damages
3. Emphasis: This focuses on a distortion of the message that is being said, how will a person understand what I am saying if I change the emphasis of words
4. Downplaying: This is another form of distortion of a message, such as, downplaying important information to overlook something negative that has happened in the workplace

In Module 1, Kindred Todd faced quite a few ethical dilemmas that included her values and technical ineptness. The first predicament was tested her personal morals and ethics. According to, Cumming and Worley, OD practitioners are dealing more and more with value conflicts with powerful outside groups (Cummings & Worley, 2008). Kindred was immediately faced with the issue of knowing what was ethically correct but being told the unethical approach was the best in order to benefit the client and her job security. Although compromising is one of the many skills of organization developers there are still morals that should be followed on each assignment. Kindred, know that deceiving the clients was unethical, took the first step to working on behalf of the client and immediately involved her superior, Larry, to resolve a potential conflict In the project. While her actions went in vain when she told her boss to remove her from the project and provide the client with a more qualified resource, Kindred did what she thought to be the best approach.
Leadership is about organizing a group of people to achieve a common goal (Prieto, 2012). Written below examples of effective communication, team working, delegation, management, planning and organisational skills I have utilized in my placement area:
Group therapy has become a popular form of therapy lately; it used to be used more as a last option, but now group therapy is often the first or better choice for some clients. Group therapy can be helpful in an assortment of ways. Group counseling has provided constructive results, Corey, Corey, & Callanan (2011) explain some factors that have helped “such as skilled leaders, appropriately referred group members, and defined goals” (p.480). There are many different types of group therapy. I think practitioners should know not only how too effectively handle group therapy if they are doing group work, but if group is the right choice for everyone involved. As with other forms of therapy there are ethical concerns when it comes to group work as well, but there are distinctive ethical issues when it comes to group.
With so many constant changes today with different generations, legal and political circumstances and ever-changing and improving technology sources, organizations have new and recurring issues arising every single day. The reasons for these issues vary widely and develop because of so many different situations. The outcome of the situation depends on many factors including the issue at hand, the management style and the ethics of the organization to simply name a few. These outcomes can certainly make or break an organization if not handled appropriately. The issue I have found to be the most significant is leadership. Within leadership, there is the opportunity for many issues in itself.

Leadership is the controlling force of the whole world, it allows everything to operate best without any chaos. Leadership is important in business because leaders must manage and communicate with employees if they wish to be successful. Leaders range from the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to managers of different levels.
The appropriateness of whistleblowing depends to a large extent on the circumstances. A good theory of whistleblowing should provide guideline in how to minimize harm to any stakeholders of an organization. The focus should on how to attain the most ethical resolution rather instead of depend on the position of the person to whom one reports the malpractice to determine the validity of whistleblowing.
"A leader is an individual (or, rarely, a set of individuals) who significantly affects the thoughts, feelings, and/or behaviors of a significant number of individuals” (Gardner, Howard 2012). An essential part of a leader lies in their ability to motivate and influence people to follow their lead. Leaders are both men and women who have the ability to influence others in a community, control situations, connect with others and persuade others to follow them or the goals they define. To be a good leader one must set a good example and make correct decisions for difficult choices. I myself am implementing leadership skills into my every day life. Leadership skills are all around us. They can be applied to any situation where one may be required to take the lead. This can be
Ethical leadership is having an understanding of who you are, what your core values are, having the courage to live them all, in your personal life as well as your work life. Ethical leadership involves leading in a manner that respects the rights and dignity of others. Ethical decision making and leadership are the basis of ethical organizations. Leadership is a relationship between leaders and followers. The foundation of this relationship is trust. The leaders themselves must be ethical in their decisions and actions in order to influence others to behave accordingly. Ethical leadership is to know one’s core values and having the courage to live them through one’s life. Ethics and leaders go hand in hand; ethics is the heart of leadership.
