Drugs were also selfishly abused and shared among Americans during this era, this also contributed to the spread of the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome. This greedy behavior proved fatal for thousands of people and left the survivors infected with the disease. Greed proved to be a big problem within this era as people were enjoying drugs, money, sex and fame excessively and created negative effects for future generations because of their pursuit for self-satisfaction.

Although with this said most people don’t know how to set limits and end up going beyond those boundaries that would allow greed to benefit America as just motivation. Beyond those boundaries people succumb to greed and become consumed with an uncontrollable drive for personal gain therefore succumbing to greed as a form of obsession for whatever they’re goal may be. The pursuit of happiness is also something that people find to be good whether the amount of time that is put into it takes up a little or most of their time. This is actually a rather good way for a person to spend an excessive amount of their time, pursuing their dreams and building up their lives for example, going to college, being employed by their dream job, and finding their significant other. Even though most people see no wrong in the pursuit of happiness its when greed is not kept in check that it becomes an issue for example, when people believe their happiness is above everyone else 's and even go to the length of sabotage and mischief to see the outcome they desire therefore engaging in less ethical behavior.
