Marilyn Monroe
Starting at the age of 16 Norma Jeane started to get her fame and popularity. She was known for being the world’s most famous “Sex Symbol.” Norma Jeane who is known for her stage name Marilyn Monroe was born in Los Angeles on June 1, 1926. Her mother was “emotionally unstable” and was sent to many different insane asylums when Monroe was a young girl. Monroe was known for her acting roles in films such as, The Seven Year Itch, Some Like it Hot, Niagara, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and Bus Stop. The mystery behind Marilyn Monroe’s death can be summed up in two theories: Murder or Suicide.
There are many theories on how Norma died. Most of her life she spent in foster homes, a total of 12. She was rapped at the age of 8 which stuck with her throughout her young life(Monroe3). She had anger issues early because of this also. Later in

Monroe wasn’t feeling herself after she lost an important acting role due to she could not wake up on time and get to the set on time. In fact days before she passed away her physician gave her really strong sleeping pills (Marilyn). She had been under pressure due to the strong criticism she had been taking in Hollywood. Losing a role can be hard for an actor especially with talent like Monroe had. When she was unable to sleep Monroe had would take that sleeping pills in which would made her very weak and unable to work with(Monroe3). She had previously tried to take her life before. On the day she died there is a possibility that she took the medication by mouth throughout the day. They claim she took enough to kill 10 people (Tim3). After she died “Conor Thomas Noguchi found eight milligrams of chloral hydrate in Monroe’s blood and 13 milligrams of pentobarbital (Nembutal) in her tissue, both amounts well above fatal doses”(245). It’s strange how he found evidence of pills in her tissue and no needle marks on her
On Friday, November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas, John Kennedy hoped to gain support for the upcoming election. Kennedy, who was accompanied by his wife Jaqueline, Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson and Mrs. Johnson, Senator Ralph Yarborough of Texas, Governor John B. Connally, and Mrs. Connally was riding in an open car in a motorcade driving from Love Field airport to the Dallas Trade Mart (“Kennedy”). At 12:30 p.m. CST, President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was shot (“Kennedy”). The fearless John Fitzgerald "Jack" Kennedy seemed to know that death would eventually arrive at his doorstep, as it did. Although one shooter, Lee Harvey Oswald, was able to slay the president, questions still remain if he was the one and only shooter. Many unanswered questions and mysterious claims suggest that Oswald was not the lone shooter, but that a second shooter was able to assist in the assassination of Kennedy.
Some Like It Hot, Gentleman Prefer Blondes, and The Seven Year Itch are just a few of the movies that the actress Marilyn Monroe is known for. However the life of the movie star was cut short when she died at age 36 from an acute barbiturate poisoning. It was suspected that Marilyn took her own life, however she could have just as easily been taken out by the Kennedy family to prevent her from spilling all the dirty secrets she knew because of her alleged affairs with John and Robert Kennedy. Monroe was murdered by the Kennedy family in order to keep her from revealing government secrets that she gained knowledge of during the affairs she has with John and Robert Kennedy, which she threatened to make public after both
When she was in her teens she got her life back with a family that
It is generally said that the cause of death of Marilyn Monroe on August 4th, 1962 was an sleeping pill overdose on her part and therefore a suicide. However, substantial evidence found at her house, in the guest bedroom, and in her personal bedroom where Marilyn Monroe allegedly committed suicide along with the fact that she was sexually involved with a lot of powerful people (and knew a lot of secrets of said powerful people) points to something more sinister. Which leads to the question, did Marilyn Monroe really commit suicide, or was her death made to only appear as if she did? And if so, who killed Marilyn Monroe and how did they kill her without being caught or punished? There are many theories that could possibly answer this question, but only the two most believed theories as to what really killed Marilyn Monroe are mentioned in this paper. One is that Robert Francis Kennedy, Peter Sydney Ernest Lawford (Robert Francis Kennedy’s brother-in-law), and Dr. Ralph Greenson
There are many clues to lead to the fact she took her own life. I found it interesting Bobbie Ann Mason gave the character the name Norma Jean. Norma Jean was also the real name of Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn Monroe’s depression and inability to find lasting happiness resulted in psychological disorders with the end result of her taking her own life.
When Dr. Greenson and Marilyn’s housekeeper broke into Marilyn’s room they both claimed it happened around midnight to one in the morning. The cops showed up to the crime scene around 4:15 the morning of August 5th. This gives both the psychiatrist and the housekeeper time to stage her whole entire death as a suicide. To continue with the small theories about Marilyn’s death, Marilyn Monroe had a significant past with drug abuse. Marilyn was prescribed Barbiturate to help with relaxation and sleeping, this later was confirmed to be her cause of death, a Barbiturate overdose. Although, no actual traces of Barbiturate was found in her stomach or her blood stream even though there was a bottle on her bed stand
Murder was most likely reliably on because someone could have killed her. Most, but not all people thought she died of accidental overdose.
Marilyn Monroe was found dead in her bedroom from a possible overdose on August 5, 1962. Marilyn Monroe was born Norma Jean Mortenson in Los Angeles on June 1, 1926. When she was younger; her mom was emotionally unstable and was frequently confined to an asylum, so Marilyn was reared by a succession
June 1, 1926 in Los Angeles, California Norma Jeane Mortenson was born. She never knew her father and her mother is Gladys Baker, Gladys has psychiatric problems and was placed into a mental institution. One of Monroe's earliest memories of her mother is Gladys trying to smother her with a pillow in her crib (“Marilyn Monroe.”). As she grew up, she spent most of her time in eleven foster homes and one orphanage. (“18 Things...Monroe.”). Until she was seven she was in foster homes until her mother got her back but soon after her mother was declared insane and had to go to a psychiatric hospital (Bradshaw, Lauren). While Monroe was in foster homes she was sexually
Marilyn Monroe is an icon that is idolized by many and had a great impact on pop culture. She didn’t have the best childhood and had a lot of up and downs in her life. Marilyn Monroe was born in California in 1926. She was named Norma Jeane Mortenson after a popular actress at the time. Her mother Gladys Baker was mentally ill, so she had to put Monroe in foster care. She lived in a foster home until she was seven years old. She had two other siblings from her mother’s first marriage. She never met them because her mom’s first husband took them to live with him in Kentucky.
...ed was to be loved. She never received the affection she needed, and she wanted to achieve that from stardom. No one really knows why Marilyn took all those sleeping pills on August 5th 1962. Marilyn Monroe had a personality captivating and intriguing as her beauty. There was more beyond her platinum blonde hair, and blue eyes. Behind all the beauty, was Norma Jeane, the girl that no one knew. Marilyn Monroe was an illusion, and no one tried to see the person she was beneath this illusion.
Marilyn Monroe, Norma Jeane Mortenson. A devious soul but a pure heart, a black past, but a bright future; she became one of the most idolized figures in society. Norma was definitely not born with a silver spoon in her mouth, and she never sugar coated her life to the media. She was straight forward which made her heavily known for her quotes such as “I learned to walk as a baby and I haven’t had a lesson since.” (Marilyn Monroe). This was the beginning to her life story as a hero. This may not seem inspiring or heroic to many by the lack of knowledge a person may have on Norma. In the depths of her quotes lay a deep, heartfelt life though. For this quote may seem sensational and comical to the ear, but Marilyn was transferred to many foster homes not really having a parent that would show her the way. What a good role model would do though, and what Norma courageously has shown society, is that when life knocks you down, get up and hit life back twice as hard. Norma Jeane Mortenson, married Jim Dougherty, and started working. Soon she created the character Marilyn Monroe, she dyed her hair blonde, wore short dresses, and she became the momentous and inspirational character that everyone saw through television, newspapers, and photos. She was one of the greatest actors, singers, and models of the nineteen forties and fifties. But like every hero they suffer and create their own demise. Jeane, Marilyn Monroe, is a shakespearean tragic hero, because like every hero she must fall.
Even though she has been deceased for more than fifty years, people today still are interested in Marilyn Monroe's childhood, love stories, and whether she died by suicide or not. ...
John F. Kennedy, was our 35th president and he was assassinated on November 22, 1963 in Dallas, Texas by Lee Harvey Oswald and the warren commission believed that Lee Harvey Oswald was not part of a conspiracy, but rather acted alone. Then, years later another committee felt that there were more than one gunmen and that they were part of a conspiracy theory to kill John F. Kennedy. Some conspiracy theories were that the Soviets did it, the mafia did it, the Cubans did it, Lyndon Johnson did it, and the CIA did it. The conspiracy theory behind the Soviets being responsible is that the Soviet Union was embarrassed when they had to back down following the Cuban missile crisis that Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev ordered a hit on Kennedy’s life.
Norma Jean, most famously known as Marilyn Monroe was a famous actress in Hollywood that was one of the biggest sex symbols to come by in the 1900’s. Marilyn Monroe did not start out as an actress or one of the world’s biggest sex symbols, she began her career as a model. Monroe began work in a weapons factory in Burbank, California, where she was later discovered by a photographer. She was married to her first husband Jimmy Dougherty who was a marine. Jimmy had been deployed for some time and when he returned in 1946, Monroe had a fruitful career as a model, and she also changed her name from Norma Jean Baker to Marilyn Monroe in preparation for an acting career (Cinnamon,
