The Mystery
“Ring . . . Ring” screamed the phone. “Damn who could that be . . . its almost seven a.m. on a Saturday . . . . hold on Allison it will only take a minute . . . Hello?” detective Pat said.
“ Hey sorry Sergeant McGurn but we need you to come down to the station as soon as possible . . . there's more trouble over at Gibbons. Meet me there.”
“Hey sugar I have to go down to Gibbons there's more trouble, do you need a ride someplace?” said the exasperated homicide detective.
“It's always something with you Pat . . . every time I come over you either get called in or you're so drunk that you can't even remember who I am . .
. It's over Pat!” and then she left.
“Come on car . . . Please work . . . Just this once . . . There you go.
No matter what anyone says your the best three tone Buick I've ever had.” See he was a real cheap skate, spent all his money on St. Ides and Old English
64oz.ers. He was always borrowing money too. He still owes me seven hundred ninety eight dollars and ninety five cents, plus tax. For a Harvard graduate he sure is a wash up. The only thing he could afford to drive was the car the police station gave him. It was a 1986 Buick with a green trunk, maroon body, and a navy blue hood. The thing took about three minutes to start and another five to warm up, and that was in the summer.
Ten minutes later he showed up at my desk. I could still smell her perfume on him. He looked terrible, like usual, man he was such a good guy, but he didn't have a lucky bone in his body.
“So what's up now Steve? . . . another vending machine robbery . . . more scuff marks?” Pat looked like a detective, you know what I mean, the way the detectives looked in those old movies. He had a bad suit on, with a tie loosened and hanging down and his shirt opened up, and he usually was sleeping at his desk with the light dimmed and his feet up. The hat he had on looked like it had really been worn by a detective out of an old movie, it was all dirty and had a fold like somebody sat on it.
“No not this time Pat . . . Its a little worse .

The ligature was fashioned with a garrote made from a broken paint brush belonging to Patsy Ramsey. The knot fashioned to hold the garrote in place was intricate, requiring knot tieing knowledge and experience. Fibers were found in the knot tied in the garrote, on the tape used to cover JonBenet Ramsey’s mouth, as well as rope used to bind her hands matching the sweater that Patsy Ramsey was wearing the night before, consequently, she was still wearing it on this day. JonBenet Ramsey had undigested pineapple in her stomach contents. Patsy and John Ramsey advised that JonBenet Ramsey did not eat pineapple the night before, consequently, a bowl containing pineapple was found on the diningroom table. The prints on the bowl belonged to Patsy and Burke Ramsey. There was specultaion that secual assualt may have been a factor in this case, consequently, the evidence could neither support nor deny this. The undergarments that JonBenet Ramsey was wearing did have a spot of dried blood on them. DNA results were inconclusive, the law enforcement officials were unable to find a match for the unknown male

The famous song “Let the Mystery Be,” written and performed by Iris Dement in 1992, is centered on Iris’s personal philosophy on the question of religion and life’s origins. The song begins with the chorus, which is repeated two times throughout track. The first half of the chorus states that people are always concerned with the question of how life began and what happens after we die. Then in the second half, Iris ties the theme of the song together by maintaining that since no one knows the exact answer to these questions, she’ll just “let the mystery be.” The first verse of the tune considers popular perspectives on the questions mentioned in the chorus. She begins each idea with, “some say…” and then summarizes its ideology. Some of the
In DNA tests, blood found on the glove was shown to have come from O.J Simpson, Nicole Brown, and Ronald Goldman. After his arrest, further DNA tests would confirm the finding. Simpson was found to have a wound on his hand, and the DNA of his blood was a match to drops found at the crime scene. Nicole Brown’s blood was discovered on a pair of socks found at the Rockingham estate. Also Simpson had recently purchased a Stiletto knife before the murder; which was believed to be used by the killer. Shoe prints in the blood at Brentwood matched Simpson’s shoe size and later was shown to match a type of shoe he had owned. The knife and shoes were never found by the
Many define drama to be a literary work that is to be performed in front of an audience. But to truly define drama one must comply with its themes in order to understand it fully. Drama is a form of art that is visually presented. It displays key characteristics of human emotions to give deeper meaning to what is being presented. Sometimes drama brings out what a person is truly feeling through a tragedy play or a play portraying good fortune. Drama plays are sometimes taken out of real life instances to extend the controversy of the event or elevate the excitement of the situation. Much like in Susan Glaspell’s “Trifles”, where a woman is being put on trial for killing her husband. Trifles are small insignificant things that can be ignored. Women are being ridiculed in this drama due to their lack of voice in society; however their superiority is shown through their keen eye for evidence. Symbolism in this play acts as a precursor to predestined events that take place. It can be observed by looking at anything that has specific significance to a scene, which Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Peters methodically point out. The unfinished quilt, the strangled bird, and fruit are the symbols that give insight what really happened between Mr. and Mrs. Wright, and what went wrong during their marriage to result in such a dreadful end.
It’s crazy how what you expect a criminal to have done to your car, but it turns out to be the opposite. You would think that they would do the impossible to make it look like a stolen car, but when you're desperate and need to turn your life around, I guess you gotta do what you gotta do.
‘What a time for the car not to work I thought to myself’. I got out
Driving around in a 1996 Honda Odyssey mini-van three years ago was at first a great experience, but rapidly became an embarrassing lifestyle. Most 16-year- old boys, I believe, would prefer a nice car, a big truck, or a mid size SUV, but me, I got stuck with a gold, ugly, and slow soccer mom van. I believed I was going to drive this embarrassing mini-van for the rest of my life, until I received my Silver 2011 Chevrolet Silverado. My truck came equipped with LED lighting, big mud tires, and a three-inch lift to the suspension. My truck was the most beautiful machine I had ever seen. Switching from driving my old horrendous van to driving my monster truck brought many changes to my lifestyle.
It was 1590 in Austria, still in its Age of Belief, and also still in the Middle Ages.
The house phone started to ring. “We have a house phone?” I questioned myself rubbing my eyes giving off a weary sigh. When did I fall asleep? I headed downstairs and it stopped. Again it rang and I guessed it was on the bottom shelf hence lack of usage. Pulling off the dusty cloth I grasped the telephone and answered.
