I'm walking through the museum, quiet as usual with her by my side. Isabelle has a tight grip on my hand and i know that it’s a warning, i'm not allowed to mess up or i’ll regret it deeply later when we’re alone. It may seem pathetic but I don’t have a very healthy relationship with her and i’m the one who has the worse side of the stick. I'm constantly being verbally and physically put down and once we aren't alone she puts on a “Perfect wife” act, like none of it happens. It’s not like it matter anyways, i deserve to be treated this way. My train of thought is interrupted by a loud sound coming from one of the rooms nearby in the museum, it resembles broken glass. People began rushing out of the room where the sound emerged as security rushed the …show more content…
I need to leave, I need to take this chance to run away. About a block away from the museum when i think i've lost the supposed security guard who was chasing me, i attempt to slip into an alleyway but i stumble over my feet and catch myself on a dumpster. As i'm recovering from the fall, i hear loud heavy footsteps rapidly approaching my direction. I think last minute as i jump into the dumpster and shut the lid. There’s a small crease on the dumpster lid that i can see out of as the figure who was nearing comes into view. It was a lady with brown shoulder length hair who looks just about as panicked as i was. The woman calls out “i just want to see what's inside! Don't worry, i'll be right back.” she opens up the lid of the dumpster, jumps in and tells me to be quiet, seeing how panicked i am too. we sit there in silence for a bit until a more scary and broad figure approached, calling what suppose is her name, Nadine. When the figure, who i assume is a man, can't find her he curses under his breath and runs in the opposite direction. We both let out a breath that we didn’t realize we were holding in as we open the lid as quietly as possible to jump out. Once we had realized the
Im knocked off my feet and slide across the deck. The people around me fall too. They scream and so do I. Suddenly i’m dunked in water and I can’t breathe. Black.

We stop talking for a second only to hear the cries of a baby. It sounded as if the baby was right below actually hanging beneath the bridge. At the same it felt like someone was breathing on me, and the air got even colder than before. At the same time that this is going on, I look up to my friends and see that Kenley’s hair looks as if she had rubbed a balloon for hours. It looked like something out of a creepy Halloween movie. While this is all going on the car lights are still flashing at us.
look back and see the man who was following you pull out a large knife.
I wonder if I should I start calling Las Vegas, Nevada home now. I’ve traveled back and forth from California to Las Vegas since I was a child. I can remember at the age of thirteen my family and I would take family weekend trips very often. By the age of seventeen I was forced to move to Vegas for 6 months right before my senior year of high school started. Since it was my last year of high school my parents decided to let me go back to California for the last three months and graduate with my friends. Since I wasn’t eighteen yet, I forced to go back to Las Vegas right the day after graduation.
I climb out through the window of my dormitory and step out into the dark peaceful atmosphere. It will be challenging escaping since there are cameras placed mostly in every corner of each building. Keeping my head up I head south towards the store and away from the dormitory buildings located at the far North close to the electrical field fence that separates us from the normal world. The only way out is through the store’s main gate that lets customers in. As I approach the store’s headquarter, were the leaders and officials are located, my heart raced like a runaway train, going faster and faster every second. I was really doing it. I am really going to escape this maleficent place. I quickly speed up my pace in order to not be seen by the cameras. I turn around a flashlight flashes a few meters away from. I run as fast as I can. My legs aren’t used to this physical work; they’re giving up. The light approaches faster and faster. Then, I feel the touch of someone's hands tackling me down to the floor. It all ends here and I know it for a fact. My mind goes unconscious as an officer carries me back to headquarters. I was fool a to think that I could actually leave this place. No one will ever know the what really goes on inside our
Just then, he heard the grim click of a key locking the door. Scrambling back towards the door, he yanked and shoved on it, frantically pleading out to whoever was listening, “No, let me out! Open this door, please, this must be a mistake!”
I quickly ran to the house and entered. I could hear nothing. Captain and I quickly ran upstairs to see me wife laying on the floor.
I was having a perfectly good day at school, I had made an “A” on my essay and then I found out this store was giving out free slurpees. I mean could this day get any better? At least I thought I would. I went to the store with my purse on my shoulder, which doubled as a book-bag, and proceeded to walk to the back of the store where all the snacks were. My intention was to buy my favorite chips and get a Slurpee for free but unfortunately, I could not. While browsing the store, searching for my kind of chips, I heard a voice say, “Is everything alright? Do you need my help?” Firstly, I did not pay any attention to who she was referring to until I realized she had followed me onto the next aisle. I then asked, “Am I doing something wrong because it seems that you are following me”? To my surprise she was. She told me that it is her job to watch anyone who came into the store with a bag. When I saw another lady with a briefcase purse walk right passed me and her without a hassle, I was in a total shock! I had never heard of such a rule and to be the only person to be observed and approached, on an instant, my mind went racing back to those stories I was once told as a child. I not only felt hurt but also as if I was not worthy enough to be a valid
It’s 3:20 am. on a Friday morning, and pitch black out. The only things visible are the tree branches and pavement shining from yellow streetlights that carve out a path from the parking lot to the back door of my building. Living on campus at Towson I should’ve owned mace, but I clutched my car key instead, pointed outward ready to stab the eye of anyone deciding to come out of the dark after me. The brisk walk up the hill seems to take half an hour. Finally under the bright lights of the overhang I swipe my card quickly to get inside. The door bolt locks behind me with a loud click. I’m safe.
I grabbed the material that was blocking the water from going down the hole that led to nowhere with my left hand.
After the timer went off, I grabbed my potholder and reached inside.
there’s three doors that lead to separate places opposite to the bathroom in the “waiting area that i later named after being wakened to this place. there’s a door on either side and one big door right in front of me, i believe it to be the entrance yet it is locked and i do not have the strength to break it any t...
Now, I can only hope and pray that something happens. Maybe I can escape. Maybe there is just something I'm missing, and it's right in front of my face. Whatever it is, it really just doesn't want to show itself to me. I kick at the bars, ...
