Since the advent of computers, fantasy role-playing games have made the leap from table top to computer. While the concept has stayed the same, many aspects of the games have evolved. Neverwinter Nights is a role-playing game that uses an electronic model similar to the popular tabletop game called Dungeons & Dragons. In Neverwinter Nights, the player ultimately becomes the hero of the story. The player is tasked with a number of challenging quests that test both the character and, hence, the player throughout a four chapter storyline. While the character might ultimately become the hero of Neverwinter, this game model offers choices that affect the dialogue and experience that each player has, and unlike tabletop games, the world of Neverwinter gives the player the option to play singly, with only non-player (computer controlled) characters. Another option, multiplayer, uses both non-player characters and other players. Additionally, the creators used literary elements to create a gender-friendly role-playing environment for both men and women.

This study in particular, the participants were not informed about the capacity that this disease could damage their human system and they were not viewed as a human being and they were used as lab rat. Furthermore, one of the doctors who were involved in this experiment Dr. Raymond Vonderlehr used the term “necropsy” that is an autopsy performed on animals when speaking about the participants of this experiment (Mananda R-G, 2012).

Philosophy questions many ideas or statements. For example, the Examined Life asks, does life have meaning? This idea was analyzed, experienced, questioned, discussed and concluded in many different ways. There was a common thread between the Philosophy film, the Apology, our class discussions and the video, Examined life. We often ask ourselves, are we obligated to other people?

The Outsiders, by S.E. Hinton was written in 1967. This novel tells the story of the conflict between two different social groups, the greasers and the socs. The socs were the socials who lived in the rich part of town, and the greasers were the lower class youths. This novel tackles issues such as violence, class conflict, and prejudice. The novel takes place in the early sixties. The Outsiders examines how two different groups compete, and unite for survival, which is often justified with violence. Hinton’s publishers decided that she should publish the novel under the name S.E. Hinton. They were worried that readers would not respect a females perspective on violence, and that is why they chose the non-gender author name of S.E. Hinton.
“He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not,” was a twisted film that shed light on some of the topics that we discussed this semester. Reality is defined as the world or the state of things as they actually exist, as opposed to an idealistic or notional idea of them. Everyone has their own idea of reality and how they view life depends on this reality. We saw that Angelique’s perception of reality was very abstract, she took a simple act of kindness and twisted it into the start of a love affair. In her mind it was the beginning steps of her and Doctor Loic’s relationship.
Nothing beats the idea of living a prestige lifestyle. Evelyn Nesbit was a young talented girl who climbed up the social ladder through capturing attention of many well-known men in the early 1900s (Gottschalk, 2008). Two of the men Nesbit was associated with were Stanford White and Harry Thaw (Gottschalk, 2008). Thaw's insanity caused the life of White (Gottschalk, 2008). Many seem to agree Nesbit is responsible for Thaw’s death. However, evidently, Nesbit is merely a victim of the situation. The influences of older men, her mother, and society brought upon a death that was out of her own control.
It is intriguing how a holy man can be the cause for the deaths of others. Although the Friar tried to help the two lovers, he only worsened the situation. By the Friar relinquishing too much, he ultimately led Romeo and Juliet to their deaths. In the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare, Friar Lawrence was a trustworthy, seemingly responsible, and a well respected person in Verona. The Friar thought of the idea for Juliet to drink the sleeping potion in order to solve the problems standing in the way of her and Romeo’s relationship. There are many people to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet, yet Friar Lawrence is the most culpable, this is because he marries Romeo and Juliet, he gave Juliet the poison, and he left Juliet in the tomb after she awakened.
...n (Director) mistakenly seems to believe can carry the whole film. On the strength "based on a true story", he has rejected attention-grabbing characters, an imaginative plot, and unforgettable villains.
I’ve seen a lot of films, and with a lot of different genres. But I don’t think that romantic films are pretty good. They are too boring. The good films are action or comedy films, but the best films are action and com-edy films mixed together. That’s why I’ve chosen the film Taxi 2. It’s a French produced film, with a lot of action and comedy. It’s a pretty new film, and I saw it in the cinema last month. I’ve looked very much forward to see that film, because Taxi was very good too. It took only 5 weeks to get 10 mil-lion Frenchmen into the cinema. Just for watching Taxi 2.
