There are things people cannot possibly comprehend. I do not believe that a utopian society is any of those things that humans cannot do or think about or comprehend or even create. Although most people think utopian societies that are controlled by a higher level of people turn out to fail, there have been some successful Utopian societies throughout history. Utopian societies are certainly hard to create or control but I don’t think it is impossible to make a Utopian Society. Are Utopian societies real? Utopian Societies are indeed real, in fact, Younus Algohar once said “A perfect society will form when a majority of human beings are enlightened.” Health and human services is immensely important when creating an Utopian Society. There are countless problems with Foster care, but we mostly want to focus on how we can make the foster care system peaceful and basically an easy ride for foster children. I have noticed a trend with stories about the foster care system and what usually happens in bad homes. A variety of stories from different foster children state that “foster care has failed them and their brothers and sisters.” or how they were placed in an abusive home. Our goal is to stop this from happening. We want children to feel safe and comforted. An article from Npr.org talks about Noel Anaya and his journey through the foster care system. He doesn’t only talk about how the system failed him, he also countlessly brings up the fact that he only feels like a number, or how he constantly had new social workers, lawyers, and case managers, making him feel vulnerable. This tells us about how Noel always felt like he meant nothing to the Foster Care Association, just another foster kid with a case number. Noel ended up leaving foster care once and for all. This is just one story out of multiple others. One way to help? You can donate supplies and money to Foster care organizations or group homes. This works with any society, as long as there is an adult to handle the money/supplies responsibly. Another way to help Foster Care children is to volunteer to be a mentor. Being a mentor means being a guidance counselor. You would be there for the Foster child, making sure everything is ok at home and ok in their life. You would check up on them every week, and eventually you could even get paid! If you volunteer for more than a month, then you could get a permanent job as a Mentor. You would be paid $13 an hour. If you like working with children, then I would suggest this job to you.
