There are three main parties that contributed to the Holocaust. The main reason that the Holocaust should be remembered is to remember the suffering and the pain the people in the camps went through. Now, there are three parties I will be talking about. The three main groups that are responsible for the Holocaust are Hitler, Citizens that voted for Hitler, and the top SS Soldiers at the camps.
The most responsible party for the Holocaust was Adolf Hitler. According to an article I found it said “Hitler and the Nazis said the Jews were responsible for huge events like losing World War One and the economic crisis (Anne Frank House - Teachers' Portal - Pupils' questions: Why did Hitler hate Jews?).” This means Hitler wanted to punish the Jews because he believed that they were responsible for big events that hurt Germany and he thinks that he is getting rid of the enemy. The second quote about hitler that I found in the article How Many Concentration Camps? is, “Nazis had established about 20,000 concentration camps.” Hitler Disliked Jews so much that he had to set up 20,000

In another article I found a quote about the citizens and it is “He would make Germany strong again, end payment of war reparations to the Allies, tear up the treaty of Versailles; stamp out corruption; keep down Marxism; and deal harshly with the Jews. (The History Place - Rise of Hitler: Germans Elect Nazis).” He promised so many things and the people would believe in anything because Germany just came out of world war II. When the people believed him and voted for him he took control and created the Holocaust. The second quote is from Thomas Jefferson and he said “Whenever the people are well-informed, they can be trusted with their own government.” The people believed in what Adolph Hitler was promising and didn't know his beliefs and his belief is that he hated Jews which lead to the
Holocaust. The Third most responsible party is Top SS Soldiers at the concentration camps. Eli Wiesel writes in his book, Night, about the soldiers is “They had orders to shoot anyone who could not sustain the pace.” The soldiers didn't show any mercy because they didn't have any to give, they just watched how so many people died by their hands and they were happy that they were cruel. Eli also says in his book that “Throw out all the dead.” The SS soldiers are responsible for the Holocaust because they show a terrible anger toward the Jews and think they are below them which made the troops want to punish them in several ways. These three groups are the most responsible for the Holocaust. They show hatred toward the Jewish religion because they think they were responsible for Germany's defeats and failures. They tortured so many innocent people that didn't do anything wrong.

Once the Germans lost the war, Hitler took that personally, and wanted revenge. After coming into power with his army of Nazis, Hitler is quick to blame Jewish people for all the harsh debt and corruption in Germany. The Germans believe him, causing them to hate Jewish people. The holocaust happened throughout 1933-1945, it ended when Hitler killed himself.

In Elie Wiesel's book, Night, it is evident that blame be passed to Yahweh, the Jewish people themselves, and the non Jewish Europeans.
The years between 1933-1945 was a horrifying time period. We learn about the Holocaust to know and learn about how bad the past was and what people had to go through. People study the Holocaust to be educate and undertsand the past. The most important reason why we study the Holocaust is so that nothing as bad as the Holocaust was, happens again. According to Edmund Burke, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
The Holocaust has many reasons to it. Some peoples’ questions are never answered about the Holocaust and some answers are. The Holocaust killed over 6 million Jews (Byers.p.10.) Over 1.5 million children (Byers, p.10.)They were all sent to concentration camps to do hard labor work. Jewish people weren’t the only ones sent to concentration camps. People such as people with disabilities, Homosexuals, Gypsies, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Communists, and Socialists (Byers.p.12). Everyone that was sent to concentration camps was sent via Train cars (www.historychannel.com). They had no food, water, or rest rooms up to 18 days. Many people died from the lack of food and water (Byers, p.15.). They children under 12 and elderly were sent to death camps because they were too weak or young too do the hard labor work so they were exterminated quickly (Byers, p.17.). Everybody at the camps were ordered to wear a certain colored star so they were easily spotted. The Holocaust went on from 1939 to 1945. Throughout all those years it was BAD.
The man responsible for the Holocaust was Adolf Hitler and his Nazi war-machine. As an Austrian born soldier-turned-politician, Hitler was fascinated with the concept of the racial supremacy of the German people. He was also a very bitter, very evil little man.
We need to remember the Holocaust because of all the Jewish people who died and the people who tried to save them. In the book “Book Thief”, the family risked their lives to help one of their friends who was Jewish. If the Nazis found out about the Jewish person in their basement they would take the whole family to the death camp with the Jewish friend. Also in the “Boys who challenged Hitler”, a group of boys who lived in Denmark, risked their Life’s to save Jewish people by putting them on rafts to float over to Sweden. They did that because Sweden was a free country and the Nazi’s did not have control over them.
Indisputably, Adolf Hitler is to blame for the Holocaust however, had the Allied Powers intervened sooner than they did, millions of lives would have been saved. Many innocent people were torn apart from their families, for many never to see them again. This murder of the “Jewish people of Europe began in spring 1941.”( Feldman 213) The Holocaust was one of the most harshest things done to mankind.
It is often a topic that many are uncomfortable talking about and tend to push to the side. There is a very big problem with that though, people in this generation need to know what happened in the past and be fully educated on everything that happened, in order to help prevent something terrible like that from ever happening again.
