Nikita Daniel, 86, died on Wednesday, September 29th, 2083 in her Upper East Side penthouse in New York City. She was found to have peacefully passed in her sleep by her oldest daughter, Vivienne Daniel. Mrs. Daniel lived a long healthy life and beloved by those around her. She lost her husband of 57 years, Klaus, 3 years ago and is survived by her 3 children, Vivienne, Alexander and George, her 6 grandchildren, and her many family and friends. She continued to be a positive influence for those around her throughout her lifetime.

Along with her new life in America, there was a new addition to the Daniel family. Nathan Daniel, Nikita Daniel’s younger brother, was born on May 30th, 2003. Daniel’s experience in the University of Maryland would help shape her future in her professional years. She was a very active member in the community and worked hard to be a successful student. Part of many organizations, Mrs. Daniel traveled to Peru with Public Health Without Borders, taught minority middle school girls about different STEM opportunities available and was very active in her church community as well. At Maryland she was able to bond with many of the faculty in the School of Public Health. This allowed her to secure a job at a health care research firm. Mrs. Daniel continued working for this firm for 3 years before moving to New York to complete her Masters in Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. During her time in Columbia Mrs. Daniel met her future husband, Klaus, a Financial Analyst. After dating for a year and a half, Klaus proposed to Mrs. Daniel and they were later married in the Oheka Castle in Long Island. The couple lived in Manhattan for two years before the arrival of their first child Vivienne. When Vivienne was born, Mrs. Daniel was in the middle of a very important research publication for Columbia University. After the arrival of Vivienne, Mrs. Daniel began her a post-graduate fellowship at New York University. Dr. Maya Angelou was born on April 4, 1928 in St. Louis Missouri. Angelou was raised in St. Louis and Stamps, Arkansas. In Stamps she was faced with the brutality of racial discrimination, and a very traumatic incident where she, she was raped by her mother's boyfriend when she was eight, but because of this she also developed an unshakable faith and values of traditional African-American family.
