hardworking and clean people. When she told her father that she was

pregnant, he was furious and he felt even worse when she told him that

the father of her child was Captain Norval Marley of the English East

Indian Regiment. The Marleys were white Jamaicans who were well known

to hate blacks, but the worst thing was that she was 18 when he was

Women -

Women cannot wear make-up or perfume and must always dress modestly.

Nor can women smoke from the chillum, clay pipe in which Rastas smoke

Ganja, which is light cannabis.

Herb -

Smoking herb is a very important part of Rasta life. They believe it

helps them think well as it comes from the Earth so it must be good.

Conclusion -

[IMAGE]Rasta is quite a different to other religions. This religion

has not been very well thought out though. Their excuse to smoke Ganja

or drugs was because it comes from the Earth so it must be good, so

why are they not allowed to smoke tobacco as tobacco also comes from

the Earth. This is also a very sexist religion as women are not

allowed to many things, but men are.
