For my final paper, I picked Leonardo da Vinci and his famous depiction of “The Last Supper” during the Renaissance period in European history. The origins of Renaissance emerged in Florence, Italy in the late 13th and early 14th centuries. It reached its pinnacle in the late 15th and early 16th centuries, in the work of Italian masters such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raphael. Western European culture experienced a rebirth of Classical learning and values. It started as a cultural movement in Italy in the Late Medieval period and later spread to the rest of Europe. This period regarded as the cultural bridge between the middle Ages and modern history. The new thinking became manifest in art, architecture, politics, science and literature.

The Jewish tradition of the Passover has been very important for the welfare and freedom of the Jews since the Old Testament. Each part of the Passover brings forth the knowledge of what God promises to his people. “The name “Passover” is derived from the Hebrew word Pesach which is based on the root “pass over” and refers to the fact that G-d “passed over” the houses of the Jews when he was slaying the firstborn of Egypt during the last of the ten plagues.” The Christian belief is that the Last Supper fulfills the promise made to the Jews through Jesus Christ. The Passover and the Last Supper are important in understanding the relationship between the Jewish belief and Christian belief. They are also important to help grasp what it means to be free with a God.
A second speech that was delivered by Jesus and it can be easily recalled is the speech or discussion from the Last Supper. During this speech, Jesus gave his final words and teaching to his disciples. It was also this time when he explained the purpose of his sacrifice. The significance of the Last Supper speech is due to a the time before Jesus’s crucifixion, which left a great impact. Another notable speech given

The night as cold, we'd just finished our meal with Jesus and many of us were thinking to ourselves, "what did he mean someone would betray him." We had spent a good portion of the evening walking down the streets of Jerusalem and Jesus was teaching many things. To be honest, I didn't really understand a lot of what he was saying, but he was there and he was teaching us something. We were sure that eventually, he'd explain it in the form of one of his stories or something, but in that instance, he did not.
