UGANDA.
Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa. Uganda’s capital city is Kampala. Uganda is bordered on the east by Kenya, on the north by South Sudan, on the west by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and on south by Tanzania. The official language is English and Luganda is a central language, which is widely spoken across the country, and multiple other languages are also spoken including Swahili. Uganda’s Natural Resources are copper, cobalt , hydropower , limestone , salt and gold . The current president of Uganda is Yoweri Kaguta Museveni .
THE LANGO PEOPLE .
The langi people live in the Northern Central Uganda .The langi tribe symbol is a rhino .They speak Lutuka language .The lango are the agro- pastoralists keeping cattle as well as engaging in cultivation of crops such as millet, beans , bananas and sweet potatoes . The lango are the Nilo – Hamites people ( group of East African pastoral people ) .
THE ACHOLI PEOPLE .
The Acholi live in Northern Uganda and they are called the gang . they keep cattle and sheep and their main food is millet . They migrated from Southern Sudan originally . The acholi langauge is a western Nilotic language known as Luo.
IDI AMIN DADA.
Idi Amin Dada was the third president of Uganda from1971 to 1979 , before becoming the president of Uganda, he was the Deputy Commander of the Ugandan Army .He ruled Uganda for 8 terrible years During his time , Amin earned the Titles such as Black Hitler , Hangman Amin and Idi the Terrible . - Anyone caught smuggling would be shot down by his soldiers or torured and then slaughtered .
- He had his secret police to torute thousands of people and then have them killed with a sledge hammet and , many women and girls were raped .
