Lamborghini, one of the world’s leading brands of luxury vehicles since 1963, makes yet another masterpiece to celebrate the legacy of its founder. The founder Mr. Ferruccio Lamborghini was born in 1916, and in commemoration of Mr. Lamborghini’s legacy of 100 years, the extremely rare Lamborghini Centenario was created in 2016. Being one of the most coveted Lamborghinis made to this day, only 20 Centenario coupes and 20 Centenario roadsters were created in the whole world. Lamborghini himself even after almost two decades after his death. Both the Lamborghini Centenarios (Coupe/Roadster) come packing the v12 engine that is based on an Aventador’s engine but very much tweaked. The engine puts out around 760HP and nearly 500 foot-pounds of torque power. The engine allows this fully carbon fiber car, which weighs around 3,400 Lbs. to go from 0-60 mph in just 2.8 seconds, which is faster than you can say “Happy 100th Birthday, Ferruccio Lamborghini!”(Glon) The only difference between the models is the price tag. For the people who are unfamiliar with vehicles, a coupe is a 2-door hardtop car, and a roadster is a 2-door roof-less car. This means the price is higher for essentially less car, but the reason for the price increase is due to it being more delicate. This portion/price difference is what makes these cars so rare, such as the Roadster Veneno and Centenario. Another reason why these models are rare is that the Roadster models are one of the only cars from Lamborghini that don’t provide a roof. Just seeing one in person is an experience. But, for the lucky few that have gotten a chance to drive the beautiful masterpiece, they have plenty to say about this hypercar. Top Gear writer Charlie Turner, who got an exclusive invitation to the Nardo test facility, says in his own words, “Nardo is where the VW group comes when it wants to develop something antisocially, intergalactically fast.”(Turner) which is where the Centenario belongs. As previously mentioned, the Centenario has an upgraded Lamborghini Aventador engine, which meant VW let Mr. Turner drive and work his way up to the Centenario to add some hypercar context. Turner explains that the driving was compared to a “confidence ladder”. As you move through the day you begin to get more confidence and get to experience more advanced technology which makes the driving experience smoother due to the fact that you begin with the more “bare” Aventador which doesn’t come equipped with the technology that comes in the other two
There was always a demand for trucks with the comfort of a passenger car, or a passenger car with the load capacity of a truck. In response to this demand Ford released the Ranchero in 1957. To compete with Ford’s Ranchero, Chevrolet created the El Camino whose first release occurred in 1959. Over the years, Chevy has made several modifications to the El Camino to improve performance and style. Since Chevy stopped producing the El Camino in 1987, it has become a collectible classic. The corvette was first introduced in January 1953. To experiment with the car, they only made 300 cars, which were all made by hand and powered by a 235-cubic-inch 6-cylinder engine. The corvette was designed to show the world that General Motors could make a sports car that was a stylish two seater. All 1953 corvettes were polo white with red interiors. The engine of the car generated 150 horsepower and had a 2-speed power glide automatic transmission. Researchers have found that the first corvette has been known to go over 150 miles per hour.

Ask any ten enthusiasts what two cars epitomize the concept of an automotive rivalry and at least nine of them will instantly conclude the Chevrolet or Chevy Camaro and the Ford Mustang, two cars that make up part of a small automotive segment known as Pony Cars. These fire-breathing leviathans of the street snarl with guttural reverberations boastfully announcing their presence with the mere turn of key. For nearly five decades, these mechanical beasts have captured the imagination of the American driver and ignited the most contentious debate in automotive history: Which car reigns supreme? Muscle car buffs waste no time quoting sales figures, vehicle performance, track times, or even mundane statistics like vehicle dimensions or available colors to simply justify their support for one model over the other. As this debate rages on, the makers of these brutes fan the flames through targeted marketing strategies, consumer promotions, pricing strategies, and creative advertising all in effort to win an automotive war the likes of which have never been seen or fought before (Davenport, 2013).
Due to the growing prevalence of stock car racing, muscle cars came into power during the 1960s, which has become known as the Golden Age of Muscle. Lasting from 1960 to 1972, muscle cars enjoyed over a decade of power, and, regrettably, a four decade hibernation.
