“The Lady with a dog “ a short story by Anton Chekhov resolved around a man who notices a lady with her dog walking in a park by herself. His character is very important because his personality traits are necessary to understand the story. He is very arrogant because he thinks he can get whatever he wants in life especially women. Anton Chekhov reveals, Dmitri personality trait in a negative manner during the beginning of the story because he is trying to seduce a woman when he is married himself. However, the authors show us, the readers how Dmitri feelings changes towards the end change slightly and makes you feel sorrowful for him. This story takes place in a park in Russia. The main character notices that a lady was walking around the park with her dog and not with a husband or any friends so he had the idea he should be acquainted with her. Dimitri is very intrigued by this woman he saw in the park. He is acquiring about this lady and her dog would not be new to him. Dmitri came to a realization that this woman was married, but he was still going to try to talk to her. He was very buoyant that he would be able to seduce this woman because it has happened many times before.
