Famous spiritual leader and philosopher Swami Vivekananda, once said the way to success is to
"Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life - think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone." To me this quote embodies what is it takes to be successful. Much like a marathon the goal isn't to come in first place and win but to simply finish and to do that you have to want to keep going, the pace at which you do so is irrelevant as long as you finish. Success has no definite definition like love it has many different meanings and holds true to different things for different people. Although society has its claims on what success may look and feel like the path to becoming successful cannot be written down into theories and statics. Whether your meaning of success initials money, being happy, or another personal gain, one must work to obtain this. Personally I can argue that there is no actual specific key to success but many keys to achieving it , it is said that “it isn’t always the destination but the journey that was all worth it”, success should be measured by the amount of dedication, determination and passion put into making it real.
Outliers: the Story of Success, written by Malcolm Gladwell, explains that there are perhaps specific formulas and scenarios one can follow and in turn become successful from it. For example in the book the outliers the author describes whats called the 10,000 hour rule which claims that it was “In fact, researchers [that] have settled on what they believe is the magic number for true expertise: ten thousand hours.” To me this is saying that only when someone has practiced som...

... therefore making our ideas of success very different. Personally being happy with what you've done is success , making the amount of money to where your comfortable is success , having a family that you are proud of and love is success in its own and being happy with what you surround yourself with is success. Everyone's idea of it embodies who they are and how they view themselves, my only hope on success is that I never stop having that extreme hungry for it. To be successful you have to want it and be dedicated to that single goal without wavering from it , you have to be determined in mind body and soul and you have to really have the passion so that in the end you are happy by it. In my eyes success isn't something you can touch and feel like money, it's on other words intangible, it's something that warms your heart and fuels your fire for personal greatness.
Generally speaking, success isn’t just about what you accomplish in life, it’s how you accomplished it and the impact you
´´ If one advances confident in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. ’’ These words were spoken by Henry David Thoreau.Success is within the mind of the individual. A large portion of one´s life is spent working to become successful. People are told throughout childhood to work hard so they can grow up and achieve all of their dreams. But success takes many different forms. Different people have different interpretations of what success means to them. It does not matter how related they are to each other in certain áreas they always have a different point of view of what success really is. For some success is measured by social status and wealth
To me success is knowing that I didn't just meet my goal, I overachieved my goal. If I don't meet my goals, that's fine. All I need is to try my hardest and give it my all and I will be fulfilled. Reaching your goals is important but It is very necessary to sit down and think about other stuff like, what you value or what is important to you. The most important things to me is my family, friends, health and education. I also value achievement, adventure, happiness and knowledge. In total with your view of accomplishment and success in mind, you can succeed and reach your goals.
Angela Lee Duckworth claimed grit to be the key to success. During an interview, she defined grit as “the disposition to pursue very long-term goals with passion and perseverance.” (qtd in Raz). Duckworth also mentioned that she wanted “to emphasize the stamina quality of grit. Grit is sticking with things over the long term and then working very hard at it.” (qtd in Raz). “For the last 11 years, Angela Lee Duckworth of the University of Pennsylvania has been conducting groundbreaking studies on grit -- the quality that enables individuals to work hard and stick to their long-term passions and goals.” (Perkins-Gough). Grit may be seen in several of characteristics throughout others. Although we may have different characteristics, my brother and I both comprehend grit to be the key to success.
Following the Seven Spiritual Laws of Success has made me the person that I am today. The laws that we have followed have been the Law of Pure Potentiality, the Law of Giving, the Law of Karma or Cause and Effect, the Law of Least Effort, the Law of Intention and Desire, the Law of Detachment, and the Law of Dharma or Purpose in Life. These laws have taught me that success is not a destination it is a journey. They have taught me that true success is the unfolding of the divinity within us. And following these steps has helped me to find success with in myself.
“Nothing will work unless you do. ”-Maya Angelou. Nothing was working in her life, so she started to work to be successful. She knew that her life was not going to get better on its own, she started working anywhere she could to try and be as successful as possible.
Success is within the mind of the individual. A large portion of ones life is spent working to become successful. People are told throughout childhood to work hard so they can grow up and make lots of money. But success takes many different forms. Different people have different interpretations of what success means to them. For some, success is measured by social status and wealth; for others success is determined only by the amount of happiness one feels.
Success only truly comes with being happy. Happiness and success are the accomplices of one another. Someone cannot have accompanies without the other. Happiness brings success, and success brings even more happiness. Success, in the dictionary, is defined as the achievement of something desired planned or attempted. Therefore, success cannot be judged by anyone than oneself. It is a personal thing. It is the realization of goals, desires or plans made by one 's self. It is not measurable and yet is something we always use to compare others or appraise someone 's worth. Success, in one form or another, is something that someone should always be striving for. For some people it is something they will do subconsciously, and for others it will be something they will constantly labor for. Because success is something that is different for everyone, it is best that they measure their personal success by their sense of self worth instead of others. To have succeeded is to have lived, as someone wanted; ' it is to have lived well and laughed
My father always says, “Hard work and unceasing pursuit do have the best reward.” I keep these words in my mind all the time and try to prove them in my action. If I am a little successful in my life, it is only because of such an inspiration got from my family and the model they presented before me to imitate.
My Father lived by a saying that he once told me, just as his Dad told him when he was fourteen, “If you believe in yourself, you can accomplish anything” (Three Cups of Tea, Page 38). He took this saying very much to heart and stuck by it his whole life. When my Dad put his mind to something, he never took no for an answer and did everything in his own unique way. He
Until people learn how to differentiate the idea of success and being successful, they will continue to strive for success in order to feel the euphoria. Once people learn how to be happy in every aspect of their life, success will be part of their morals, therefore it will no longer be part of peoples goals but they live. Surround yourself with happiness and you will be happy. Soon you find that success is not what makes you happy. Success is just the feeling after you become happy with yourself. A smile is contagious and so is happiness. People will soon find that the key to success is being happy.
Meaning of success has become confusing. We live in the world that tells us that it is important to be rich rather than be happy. We all know examples of people who are famous and rich, but are very unhappy. For example comedian Dave Chappelle had his own TV show and became a famous and a rich person. Yet underneath he was very unhappy; He was so unhappy that he had to stop his show because he had a nervous breakdown from the pressure of being
All humans wish to achieve greatness in life. Greatness varies from person to person and the thought of how one will reach success is what sets us all apart. The person with the most drive and willpower has the best odds. To look past the inevitable hard work and to look at the possible result is what it will take to keep one on task. The people who look at and fear the labor and hardship are those who will fail. Success is never guaranteed to the hard worker, but failure always looms and drags down the weak-spirited. The only person to blame for one’s failure is him or herself. People must accept responsibility and initiative to seek out success and take control of their future. They must find their muse along with willpower to reach the places they want to see themselves. Love for their work will carry them on the good days; willpower will carry them through their work on the rough days. The willpower one possesses will prove to be the most valuable asset to reach any and all goals he or she has set.
Success is something that we want to achieve. Every person has a goal that may include school or just having a dream car. Even if we are stress out or having a bad day, we never should give up because then will regret it at the end. In my life I haven’t achieve something big but something that I am proud of is being a person, living on my own, and still continue my education. Even if it is something small you should be proud of yourself. I encourage everyone not to give up but continue to whatever you want to achieve.
There can be no success without goals or targets. This is because success is relative to a set target and whether we have achieved it, or at least making steady progress towards attaining it. For you to succeed, set a goal, a measurable target that represents what you envision: that is what you want or where you see yourself in future. A goal should be measurable so as to enable you to monitor your progress and help you know whether you are on track or you have gone off.
