I write because I'm a reader and I want to be the creator of a big, fat stack of books. Books I haven't read before.I write because I want to provide a reader an escape from their reality into a different life with hopes they've never had, love they've never experienced, adventures they would not dare to make. I want to make them happier and more content, to inspire them to do and be more, and finally to delight them. I write to not lose those little glimmers during the night. Writing lets me be better, stronger, braver than I could ever be in real life (also thinner, younger, and a whole lot smarter). Capturing these glimmers on paper lets me relive those heroic moments. Dante's ascension throughout the entire Divine Comedy, namely that of his last book, Paradiso, is notedly marked by the variant displays of light and how it effects the poets. Quintessential to the purpose of this entire poem is the depiction of Paradise as a realm of light that exists in nine spheres, whose proximity to God varies directly with their merit, shown by the first three lines, "The glory of Him who moveth everything /Doth penetrate the universe, and shine/ In one part more and in another less." (Dante, 293) In the closer spheres with the lesser radii, Dante notes the soft glowing lights, but as he approaches the centermost sphere, he attempts to describe the inexpressible gleaming of the vision of divinity, thus the recurrence of the theme of light running throughout the poem.

Another speaker, Margaret Livingstone delves into the visual aspect of our senses. Livingstone mentions how artists recognize things about vision that neuroscientists are not privy to until years later. Livingstone discussed the differentiation between color and lightness, and how the two contribute differently to a work of art. Color is thought of as “comparing activity” whereas light is thought of as “summing them.” Livingstone indicates that the visual system is subdivided into a ventral system and a dorsal system. The ventral system is responsible for object recognition, face recognition, and color. The dorsal system is responsible for navigating through the environment, special organization, and emotional recognition. The ability for humans to see distance and depth is carried via our colorblind part of our visual system. As a result, Livingstone concludes that one cannot see depth and shading unless the luminance is right to convey three-dimensional.
Writing is a type of art because it requires you to think and be creative in the way you want it to be. I have a diary that I wrote almost everyday. They help me think about my day and sometimes turn my bad day into a good day. I write whatever comes into my head at that moment, and reflect on my day. Writing make me think deeper to what happen and help me turn my negative thought to positive. Writing is a very powerful tool. When I write, I have the power to change the story. I am the author of my own story so I can be as creative as I want.

First, the author shows this through the seasons and the light displayed through them. Then, he shows the light that shines through hope at proud moments. Film maker Ian Cheney takes the viewer through the lights of this world and beyond. Starting off in New York, New York, Cheney tries to locate the stars in the night sky with much difficulty. Light pollution, artificial light reflecting off dust particles in the atmosphere, creates a vail that blankets the city sky and hides the universe above. Throughout the duration of a person’s life, specific events can effect and shape the cognitive, psychosocial and physical development of the individual. In the movie “The Black Balloon”, the main character Thomas has experienced a series of events that have affected the three developmental domains in his adolescent life. This essay will explore how being bullied because of his brother suffering from autism affected his psychosocial development, how the realisation and acceptance of his brother’s illness affected his cognitive and psychosocial development and lastly, how puberty affected and changed his physical and psychosocial development. Through these specific events, Thomas shows a significant change in all three domains which results in many developmental changes through his adolescent life.
I really liked the lesson of this story because it teachers the children not to judge someone based on their race or ethnicity. I think I did well on my class presentations. I started off by introducing the name of the book, author and illustrator. Then I read the book and asked questions about what was going on in the story.
