The psychologist Sigmund Freud talked about humans having an innate sense of wanting to give into desires, but laws and society don’t always allow this. Freedom without responsibility would be dangerous. This could lead to things like cannibalism.
It is very imperative to realize that freedom is perceived in two different forms. To start with, in the literal formal, freedom is viewed as negative and thus formal. “In this case, it implies being free from being a subject to the control by other people, being exempted from activities that may seem to be a bondage or even the capability to act in a manner that is completely free from the control or interference by other people” (Passy 1974). On the other hand, there is a case of effective freedom. Effective freedom is usually more concerned about being excused from conditions that may seem to restrain
Patterson pinpoints three different variations of freedom. Personal freedom is defined as giving a person a sense that, in one aspect, he or she is not forced or controlled by another person into doing something preferred. In addition, within another aspect, one can do as one pleases within limits of that other person wish to do the same. Patterson refers to Sovereignal or organic freedom as basically the authority to act as one pleases, without respect for others, or simply the capacity to enforce one’s will on another. Civic freedom is defined as the capacity of adult members of a community to partake in its life and authority. (Walton Jr & Smith, 2015)
According to Dictionary.com freedom means “the state of being uncontrolled by another, or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint.” Freedom. What does freedom mean to you? Even though freedom means the state of being uncontrolled by another, or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint, I believe that freedom means being able to accomplish what you desire and when you desire it without anyone saying anything, by reason of the comparison and contrast of our society and the society in the book Anthem by Ayn Rand, the negation of the word freedom, and synonyms of the word freedom. I believe that you should accept the consequences of the actions you take when you have your “freedom” as well.
Responsibility may be defined as "a form of trustworthiness; the trait of being answerable to someone for something or being responsible for one's conduct." According to the Collins Dictionary, “freedom” is defined as “the state of being allowed to do what you want to do”(“freedom”). The definition of freedom is simple, but make yourself free is not easy. Concerning about some common cases which will take away your freedom, such as a time-cost high education attainment. In this essay, I shall persuade that everyone should try his or her best to insist on pursuing freedom. For the individual, it appears that only if you have your personal freedom, can you have a dream; for a country, it seems that only if the country is free, can the country develop; for mankind, it looks like that only if people has their own pursuit of freedom, can their thoughts evolve.
Responsibility is a lot of different things and has many different parts. One part of responsibility is social responsibility. Social responsibility is being responsible for people, for the actions of people, and for actions that affect people. Social responsibility is about holding a group, organization, or company accountable for its effect on the people around it. When you do the wrong thing, many people pay for it, especially everyone that you know.
There are many definitions of the term "freedom." Yet another group will argue that both aspects must be present for true freedom to exist.

As society progresses the the more contemporary of what is expected today, success has become jointed with how an individual works with others and less on how much they achieve by themselves. Mencken wrote that “the average man does not want to be free. He simply wants to be safe.” In comparison to modern beliefs this notion is quite true. The average American may say they love freedom, but just what kind of freedom are they talking about? For the majority, what they mean is that they want a safe environment where people can do what they want within reason and not bring about harm or discomfort

In addition, we have the philosophers who perceive freedom as an inseparable part of our nature, and spend their lives questioning the concept of freedom and attempting to understand it (Transformative Dialogue, n.d.).
