Today I am going to write about how my family supports me and why this is so important for me. I chose this topic because for me is really important one child to have a good relationship with their parents and siblings. I think that the parents should be the closest people on this world because they give us life and raise us.
Their biggest influence is when they support me and no matter what they are always open to talk with me, to discuss things with me and believe in my dreams. The ways that they support me are: When they listen to me and trying to understand my view point, they are always open to discuss things with me and give me their opinion but never force me to do something, they believe in my dreams and do everything that is up to them to help me make it true.
One of the ways my parents support me is by listening to me and trying to understand my view point. When I was young I had a dream to become a really good volleyball player and playing for one of the best team in Bulgaria. If we go back in the time when I was 13 years old I had the opportunity to play for the best team in Bulgaria in our capital Sofia. It was a really hard decision to let me go for my parents because I am from small town and to go alone in the biggest city in Bulgaria so young didn`t sound good. My mother and my father wanted me to go to Vratsa which is my mother’s home town and grandmother and grandfather live there and my older brother went to school there. So it was easier for them to let me go there, but I didn`t want to.
I wanted to be different I wanted be one of the best players in Bulgaria. I wanted to be part of this big volleyball family. So I sat I told them how important is this opportunity for me and how that was everything I was dreamed about. They of course didn’t say “Yes” right after my speech. Then I was so mad that I had to wait for their answer but now every time when I think for this moment I understand them even better. It was not an easy decisions. However, 2 weeks later after different opinions of different couches, they let me to go and follow my dream.
My parents have always pushed me to be better than they were. They knew that if I wanted to be successful I needed to go to college. In highschool, they always made me put my education before anything else. My parents didn’t go to college so they would always tell me to not make that mistake because their lives could have been easier if they would of just invested a few more years into their education. They would also tell me about all the opportunities that missed out on because they decided not to further their education.
My dad always told me “if you don’t have education in life you won’t be very successful”. It’s a true point he made when he told me that. My family helped me mature as a person as I kept getting older by learning things about life and what to avoid in life. My family has always been there for me when I need them for example: I r...
My family is the most important people in my life. I can always count on my family to be there in my time of need, and someone that is always there to laugh with me and make great memories with. Even though I am ten hours away from home, I know I can still call my mom and dad anytime, day or night, just to simply say “hey what’re you doing?”, or to talk about things going on at Union. I encourage you as you move forward in life to always make the most of the little things in life. You never know when the unexpected might occur, so never take your family for
Family has played an intricate role in the development of the society in which we live. The diversity in which families are formed is now becoming even more diverse with the American culture, which is changing at a rapid pace. Diverse cultures coupled with social economic challenges are key contributors to the dramatic change to the institution of family. With these challenges facing the institution of family, this closely tightknit unit which has been the cornerstone of American society has diminishing from a traditional standpoint. Non-kinship family networks like the one described in Karen V. Hansen’s “The Cranes, An Absorbent Safety Net,” goes against the norm of the common institution of family within America. Although the Crane family
To me, family is the most important thing in my life. They always encourage me to be the best I can be and nothing more. A quote that I think describes family to me is one by Alex Haley that states, “In every conceivable manner, the family is the link to our past, and bridge to our future.” Through the stories I hear from my mother and grandmother, I have a clear link to my families past and the generation of women that led to me. All the values these women held close to them throughout the years have led to the formation of myself and my values. Over the past three generations, the women in my family have overcome oppression. My mother, growing up in a time where women could never have aspirations to be CEO’s or politicians, somehow came out stronger. She saw what she didn’t want for her future, and jumped at the chance to start a new life in America. No single model of family life characterizes the American family, despite ideological beliefs to the contrary (Andersen). My family couldn’t be labeled an “Italian family” or an “American family.” We are a mix of the two cultures and ideologies, which is what makes us different. I am the first women in my mother’s family to be born and raised in America. My great grandmother had a complete different childhood and adolescence experience than I yet we still have a common cultural base. All her ideals were passed onto my grandmother, than all the down to me, a hundred years in the making to become who I am
As I was wondering about what to write about, I realized that the debilitation of the family unit is what causes so many of the problems today. Drugs, sex, and violence are all prompted by a lack of respect for bodies and other people. Children need to be loved, encouraged, and taught. Without proper guidance a child will not have the confidence or knowledge to make good, morally sound decisions.
My friends’ parents forced a lot on my friends, asking them to be doctors, engineers, etc. Getting them to study day and night and go to tutoring when they return with a B+ or below on any graded paper, they would be punished and grounded so they won’t make the same mistake. And I found that very strict and abusive for my parents were kind in our abilities, they knew my weaknesses and strengths and when I came back with a low grade, instead of punishing me they would say, “Do better next time, there is always room to improve.” They never put me down, but was always there to tell me that I can improve even if everything else was telling me I
When the word “family” is discussed, most people think of mothers, fathers, and other siblings. Some people think of grandparents, aunts, uncles, and even cousins and more on the pedigree tree. Without family in people's lives, they would not be the same people that they grew up to be today and in the future. When people hear the word family they think about, the ones who will help them in any way they can whether it’s money, support, advice, or anything to help them succeed in life. Family will forever be the backbone of support.
As a child, family was very important to me. My parents made it very clear that the people in your family are the people that are going to be on your side for the rest of your life. My parents were young when they had me so they needed some extra help. Although they did everything in their power to make sure their work schedules were set so that somebody would always be at home to watch me, that just wasn 't always possible. When in doubt, my granny would always come through. I began to build a very strong bond with her being that she was one of my main care takers. Over the years my parents started to figure things out so they no longer needed grannies help. But this is not what I wanted. Instead of
Everyone seems to define family differently, however, the significance of family is the same. For you, family means everything. You can always count on your parents and siblings for help and love. Family is very valuable and important to you and should never be taken for granted. No one can deny that family is the foundation of our generation. A family is where we all start our life journey and helps us grow to be successful throughout our lives.
The social institution I have chosen to address is that of family. An individual’s family life, both past and present, can have such a big impact on a person’s life in both a positive and negative manner. It is how we as individuals chose to handle life changing situations that will shape our lives and those around us. Family is such a fascinating social institution to study because every individual comes from a different family background or has a different experience than that of a sibling. You can learn so many things about a person by looking into their family background, origin and what type of up brining they had.
Many people, as well as myself, believe that a mother’s influence is one of the most important influences that one will ever come in contact with in their lives. A mother’s love, comfort, and support will often help to shape a child and allow them to become the person they need to be later on in life. My mother has had a great influence on my life from day one. I often refer to her as my “rock” because she is definitely a solid foundation in my life. Being that she is a great role model, my mother’s support and presence in my life has allowed me to grow as a person, keep my spirits high through hell and high water, prosper in all that I have done, as well as mold me to be a great person in the future.
From childhood you need good solicitous parents. If you have good parents, it has good effects on you, but if you have bad parents that don’t care about you, it will have negative effects on you and your future. Of course, that’s not a rule, but in most cases that will be the chance. My parents raised me well and have always loved me, and I love them too. If your life has to be good, you always need some resistance from your parents, so it isn’t all sugar in your childhood. Resistance will surely be good for you. My parents always there to support me. Support is very important for your life no matter your 5 years old or 60 years old. They have been there to support and guide me, whether it is badminton, school or any other problems. So it’s very important to have parents, and most important, parents that supports and guides me.
When I am asked what is my role in my family, I am lost in thought. Firstly, because of a paradoxical relationship between my family which means that my parents only want to do their own things but they still live together, I hold the opinion that I am the protector of my family. Secondly, I have two younger male cousins which are younger twelve-year-old than me. I watch and accompany them when they grow up and I want to be a good example in my family.
