Writing a satirical essay is a state required sick joke on the underslept and emotionally disturbed english students of america, unless you enjoy the overwhelming amount of stress and buckets of tears you will lose writing one of these things. I am one of those people who thoroughly enjoy writing satirical essays so much, that I’ve learned to put them off until the very last minute possible just so I can savor the satisfaction I get from losing sleep typing up one of these bad boys at three in the morning on a tuesday night in the ever loved MLA formating. This type of essay has the best and most specific guidelines of any essay you will ever write and let me tell you it is a dreamboat.

Before you start the wonderful journey of writing one of these magical essays, you must look at that specific rubric your gracious teacher has given you and figure out a topic that you would want to write about for the required minimum of two pages (although between you and me, we both know by the end of this essay, you’ll love writing it so

much you won't want to stop). Once you realize that any topic you choose will be the perfect topic and all of them are as equally easy and lovely to write about, you need to figure out a way to execute your problem without just being plain mean and offensive. This skill is my favourite out of all the ones you need to know in order to write this essay because there is such a dark line in between the black and white of offensive and non-offensive humor that we are all specifically taught and understand when to stop and not go too far with your attack.
Next step in this splendid journey, is to explain your problem or topic and give all of your evidence as to why it should be the way you want it to be. The best part about this step is you can be as vague as you want because the next step is where you will give your comedic criticism filled solution to the problem you have blindly chosen. Also at this point you have probably filled the last hour with excitement and you are quite possibly procrastinating while watching Spongebob procrastinate writing his essay while you are procrastinating writing your essay. I get it man, writing essays are dull, but not this one! You just have to stay on track and the words will flow right out of you, like a stream of smart water.
Once you get to writing your essay and get into the groove of how exciting it truly is, it will be no time before you start equating writing a satirical essay to studying for a chemistry test, which is pretty darn fun if you ask me.

Also, once you get into the writing rhythm, you can start multitasking by writing and listening to a full 10 minutes of surfer dude from Spongebob Squarepants laughing. Now, I know what you're thinking, Spongebob? Really? Yes, really. Once you get into writing your essay you will feel as though the little life left in you is being sucked away slowly by an unnamable force, but trust me that obtuse little dude from Spongebob Squarepants’ voice will set you right back to your childhood glee so far that your head will start shrieking from the happiness it is feeling and not the daunting thought of how this essay you are writing is due the tomorrow and you are listening to a nimrod

laugh.
Finally, once you have explained your point and defended it past a capable point for you, try to disprove all solutions to the problem that would make sense in a lucid or well rested state because those solutions are not the best solutions. Just like how any one of your teachers ill say its better to write an essay when you first get the rubric instead of the night before because this isn't something you can write in one night, well bet is on and the joke is on the teachers because little do they know that writing this essay right now is the closest you will ever come to pure joy or happiness. Instead of writing my favourite type of easy when i first get the news, I like to wait till the night before just so the next time i have to write one of these bad boys, I can remember exactly what it felt like to write it at midnight on a tuesday. Plus writing an essay as soon as you can is just boring and lame.
There you go. This is my guide to writing a satirical essay for those of us who think essay writing was thought of by satan himself. It’s not so bad once you follow these steps and start thinking of it less than a grade that could fail you in this class but rather an adventure with Maggie and her ferocious beast in nowhereland doing fun and exciting writing at night with the beautiful starts helping you stay awake and write your long winded essay that at the end point will make absolutely no sense and not tricking you into sleep.
