It 's important for us all to vote. I know that we all have different opinions, beliefs, and lives from one another. This speech is not an attempt to make us all see eye to eye on politics While it is important that we are respectful of other 's opinion, this speech is about how we all should register and vote so our opinions influence the government. I don 't know about everyones lives, beliefs, or opinions. I do know that we all want to have a say in how our country is run. Everyone here has the power to influence who will run or country and how, but only a percentage of people actively try to use that power. I will explain why it is important for us all to vote and the steps to register and vote. We live in a democratic country were everyone has the power to …show more content…
If you 've ever felt that the government doesn 't pay attention or care about what people like you think or need the solution is to vote. When we vote it shows politicians that we take an active part in deciding who will be elected. When that happens politicians will try to cater to your opinions and make platforms based on what you are concerned with or want. Just by going out and voting we can influence what the government makes as their priority. All of us have a right to vote and for some of us that right has taken longer to be available. It 's important for all of us to vote so that we can practice our full duty as U.S. citizens. To vote you must first be fully registered to by October eleventh. Once you 've been registered to vote you can cast your ballot on November eighth, election day. There are different ways to register and vote: in person, by mail, or through the Internet. To vote in person first get a registration form, either from the County Voter Registrar 's office or from other public locations like a library or any government office. After filling out the forms some government buildings will register you or you can mail it
Even though as a lawful matter it is moderately simple to qualify and enroll to vote in Texas, the genuine example of voting in the state recommends critical boundaries, and maybe absence of adequate impetus, to voting. The necessities for voting in Texas are straightforward and few. To begin with, you should be a resident of the United States, no less than 18 years of age, and enlisted to vote. Additionally, you should be an inhabitant of Texas for no less than thirty days
live in a democracy that expects you to participate, to hold an opinion and vote...but at the
Imagine the world; not as how it is now, but as how people wish it could be. There is no pollution, everyone has a job, the world is at peace and a safe place to live, and most importantly, everyone is happy. This is but a mere dream. Now open your eyes. See the reality of what the world truly is: we are intentionally hurting the environment, many people in the world are unemployed, many different countries are at war and people are dying because if it. Worst of all, people aren’t happy with their lives, the lives other people are living, or the world as a whole. You may think you do not have a voice, but that still doesn’t mean you can’t be heard. Every opinion matters. The Keystone XL pipeline poses a threat to
I will vote in elections to come because I personally want to have a voice in government and that it’s a constitutional right to vote. As I get older, the government plays a bigger role in my life and with that I would like to have a say in how my life goes. I know that I can’t change some things, but I would like to at least try and have a chance to have my way go in government which is why I’ll vote. I also believe that since the government protects you in many ways, then you should use the right they give you to vote and do it.
One of my main issues with the government is they are too involved with people’s private lives. There should not be laws pronounced only because of the sole reason of there being a majority vote. We should not have to vote on a personal/private matter. The government does not allow us to rule ourselves. We are not allowed to use our conscience. They overrule us. In Thoreau’s “Civil Disobedience from Part I” he states, “ It is truly enough said that a corporation has no conscience, but a corporation of conscientious men is a corporation with a conscience.” This is arguably interpreted as the government thinks for us. They do not leave it to ‘the people.’ Also Thoreau states the following, "Now what are they? Men at all? Or small movable forts and magazines, at the service of some unscrupulous man in power?" The government puts men in war who did not wish to be there. They should leave it to the men and women who volunteer. We ar...
... who are eligible of voting should get out there and vote. We fought to expand suffrage, and now we must show the government we are capable of voting.
Although the rules and regulations for voting in the United States have been changed over the course of history, there are some major updates needed to the voting system as a whole. The system used today may have worked well in the past, but with the hardcore and fast-paced politics used today, and the advancements in technology over the past few centuries, the system has holes throughout it, and has failed time and time again, with a good possibility of failing once again in future elections.

... nation. Every person must understand how important his or her vote is. Don’t fall in to the third of non-voters; take the right to vote to heart, become informed about people and issues so you may contribute to the common good and to making the United States the best it can be.
Have you ever been persuaded into voting? Well, you should have your own say on where your opinion goes. Voting is a right that every citizen in America over the age of 18 can do. Many people have become aware of the fact that the number of voters had reached its all time low. But as the newest voting season comes closer, we should still have a voice and the freedom to decide what we do. Which is, take a step against making America a compulsory voting country, because it proves unnecessary and there are other alternatives than mandatory voting.
Everyone has the right to vote, or not to vote in the years we live today. People decide whether they wish to participate in the nation’s future or just walk aimlessly and allow it to take its own path. Over decades, centuries, our country continued growing but just recently did it allow all to vote as long as they call this nation home. Run-on Sentence: Over decades, centuries, our country continued growing, but just recently did it allow all to vote as long as they call this nation home. However, large amounts of people still do not vote in any politics. Today everyone should understand what differences a vote could make like what can happen, why it matters, and benefits of voting.
Another important step is to make sure that you, yourself, contribute to your own campaign. It does not have to be much, as many candidates do not come from wealthy backgrounds, but enough to show that you are serious about winning the election. After all, if you are not confident enough to contribute your own money, how can you expect others to contribute for you?
Voting is the easiest and simplest way of public participation, as well as making the voters feel like they are directly involved in the process. Certain aspects, such as the Electoral College, eliminate this feeling of involvement. The best way for elections to work would be a nationwide popular vote. This would bring a meaning to the term “true democracy” and will get the people, as a whole, the chance to participate in electing the highest officials.
As we inform each other over the agendas of each candidate, we must explore which is committed to making this country into a better place, not only satisfy your own selfish reasons, which is considered a social responsibility. There so much that comes into factor, like what are the candidate’s thoughts, in the foreign policy, economic growth, health policy, etc. and it’s true that in politics, not everyone is going be pleased but we should try our best for our vote to be good cause and that could implement change many diverse laws we have today. Presidential elections should not be only big issue we have in the U.S, but local government elections play such big outcome in how everything is being in your state, like voting for the Governor that appeals to more to your ideals or that can fix the issues the state have been suffering through. Slowly I’ve started to see people involving themselves with more local government changes which is great, if we can change the power of state for the good then there’s high chances we will do for the whole country and for that to become a fact is for everyone to vote, stay informed with all issues and standings that each candidate wants to bring to the table, and be courteous of others and how your life and others can be affect by just a single
