The American Revolution was considered one of the most significant wars in American history because it resulted in freedom and independence for the United States. The war was between America and Great Britain in which the Patriots were striving to gain independence from Britain. At the start of the war, the British had won significantly more battles than the Americans. However, there was one battle that completely changed the rest of the war. The Battle of Saratoga was the major turning point of the American Revolution, which ultimately led the Americans to victory.
Although the Americans seemed to be coming into this war as the underdogs, they did have a few advantages over the British.
