Sexual intercourse should not only be between people who are in committed relationships. Sometimes sexual intercourse is better with a complete stranger. There is no connection between the two and if the sexual intercourse is a bad experience then one will not have to talk to the other person again. Having sexual intercourse is not as serious as it used to be, nowadays if one has enough money one can pay for sexual intercourse. The music and television industry makes having sexual intercourse look like, a fun ride at an amusement park, anyone can ride in have a good time. Sexual intercourse is an important part of life, if no one did it then there would be no existence at all. In the animal kingdom they have sexual intercourse which is referred …show more content…
Apparently the more sexual intercourse one has the longer one will live (Gledhill, 2014). So it is safe to say sexual intercourse is an important factor of life. Having sexual intercourse improves physical fitness like going to the gym but in the comfort of one own bed. For example a person can work out two to three times a week for forty five minutes and get all the exercise required for that week. If one has sexual intercourse two to three times week stamina is built along with stretching muscles. Sexual intercourse is therapeutic. Research shows that men who have regular intimate relationships with their partner are better able to withstand the effect of job strain on their sexual intercourse lives (Gledhill, 2014). Sexual intercourse gets the blood flowing and circulating which reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease. The better blood flow the better the rest of the organ systems work, such as the nervous and immune system. Sexual intercourse is an exhausting natural workout which improves sleep habits. For men sexual intercourse can reduce the risk of prostate cancer as well as relieve cramps during menstrual cycles in women. Having sexual intercourse can help meet weekly exercise needs if done …show more content…
Describing sexual activities with others in graphic lyrics, promotes sexual interaction. In media sexual intercourse is everywhere such as in commercial as television shows and even promoted on social media. Having sexual intercourse will boost one social status. When Paris Hilton sex video leaked in 2003, right before her first reality television show, The Simple Life, aired, sexual intercourse was so integral a part of America pop culture that the scandal boosted her career, much like a hot music video would have a decade earlier (Jones, 2014). If just having sexual intercourse is popular than it should not matter who it is with in music an artist does not always describe sexual intercourse as if it is with a partner but more than likely a groupie. In 2009, popular rapper Little Wayne stated in a song, “I wish I could have sex with every girl in the world,” and who would not want to be as popular as little Wayne. The best way to build a social status is to dress and act like famous people, just a few taps away Nicki Minaj posted herself wearing nothing but fishnet, studded black leather underwear, a matching cup less bra that looks more like a chest harness, and two small strips of black tape covering her nipples (Jones, 2014). If dressing sexual is cool then Nicki Minaj is the coolest, and so will so many other women who dress like
In conclusion, what I learned from this article is that sex is much more complicated then I could have believed it to be. This article made me aware of many conflicts, issues, and disagreements that go along with what is or isn’t sex, and how there is no clear way to say, it’s really just a matter of opinion. For lesbians the simple use of a finger is enough, for gay men its anal sex. For some sex is innate and instinctive, while others believe it is learned. For some it’s based on love and pleasure, while for others it’s about domination. I highly doubt that there is anyone in this world that could come up with a universal meaning to sex which would please all parties. It is my conclusion that there is no right or wrong definition of sex; it is whatever
“...We’re walking around with a complete health care system inside our own body.” Keesling does a pretty good job of emphasizing the this idea throughout the entire article. I must admit that from personal experience I do indeed agree with Keesling in that sex is great for the mind and body, as well as the fact that it could even be used as therapy for menstrual problems. She also makes a point of stating that “...sex also creates an emotional and physical bond that is essential...”. I agree, because it is also my experience and belief that although sex is not the entire relationship, it surely makes up about 80% of it, and if there is an inability to be open about one’s sexual life with thier partner, then one will never be able to attain a health tight bond with their other half.
In the book, “On the Meaning of Sex” J. Budziszewski talks about the meaning of sex. Budziszewski states that the issue of sex is one of the most important issues in our culture since the sexual revolution. Budziszewski opens the book by restating a conversation he once had with a student about the Book, “Brave New World.” The student states that the people are revolting and disgusting. Budziszewski is delighted by this statement. He believes that the student and himself are on the same page. Budziszewski responds to the student by agreeing and saying that there needs to be some meaning to sex. However; the student replies by saying, that the manner in which babies are “born” in the brave new world is disgusting and that sex doesn’t necessarily
Soranus still did not list all the contraceptives that were found in the Middle Ages. Others included herbs and complex ideas. One complex idea was that “a woman should carry the heart of a hare as an amulette with her,” to prevent a pregnancy. Some of the herbs that were commonly used as emmenagogues and abortifacients were “beaten wormwood, pennyroyal, century plant, thyme, rue” and others. One of the more common emmenagogues was rue, a perennial herb that grows to three feet tall and has a bluish green flower. Another more common abortifacient was Artemisia which is a species of wormwood. Artemisia was said to “protect from the pangs of childbirth.” It was never stated whether it prevented or terminated a pregnancy.
For centuries people have used sex has a weapon. When you conquered a city you won their women. The women would never be a wife, but instead they were raped. It showed their dominance and their victory, but in the end it didn’t mean anything. It was used to make women submissive and something to brag to their women. “The other girl, just now the heralds came and led her away from camp, Briseus’ daughter, the prize the armies gave me.” It was never about loving Briseus, but it had everything to do with pride. They wanted to assert their dominance over her and others. They wanted their reward or prize which was a girl that they could rape. Within the wall of a High school, people still see sexual violence. Boys will have sex with girl, just to say that they did. It had nothing to do with liking the girl or anything about the girl, but about the conquest. On the other side women will at times use sex to manipulate men into doing what they way. No matter how you look at it, sex is used to degrade or get what someone
Our ancestors have practiced sex since the beginning of our civilization. Sex is not a bad thing nor is it a good thing when one thinks about sex all the time. It is best to have intercourse with those whom one feels the most affection to. Taboos regarding sexual affection have diminished throughout time. It was unimaginable to see lesbians and homosexuals announce their love to one another in public. There are religions that define masturbation as a dreadful act, but it only shows how disconnected certain religions are from society as well as presidents enjoying oral sex, rather than regular intercourse. Societies now have the liberty to choose their partner even if, they are the same gender as well as express their love to one another publicly. We know have the freedom to explore our carnal desires freely, inclusively in the military. Humans need for sexual affection has gone to such extremes in needing animals to fulfill their erotic desires. In the remote past, there is evidence showing humans engaging in sexual activities with large creatures as well as Greek urns, showing men h...
...efining who we are, it is impossible to isolate ourselves while making a moral decision, as the market forces are now a part of what we are. And thus the gift value of a good can be realized in commercial terms. We may value money less than or equal to the lower “use” value of a good hence it thinking about the two values of a personal good becomes contradictory and should be viewed differently. In my opinion sex and love are closely related but not one and the same. They do share some values such as mutual attraction, trust, pleasure, enjoyment, but sex is individually realized as even people in love may not have sex and still continue being in love and people who are in love might have sex with their loved one just to satisfy their own needs while the partner would agree to sex even though he or she might not enjoy it as much, but out of love, would do it anyway.
Abstinence is the fact or practice from restraining oneself from indulging in something like sex. My reasons for Abstinence are STI’s, Pregnancy, Emotional Distress, Spiritual Conflict, Social Challenges, You’re not ready, Parents, and finally Responsibility.

One’s physical sex determines how that person will be treated for the rest of their lives, but a large majority of people find themselves left out because they’re not really a boy but not really a girl either. What if when a child is born, it was unclear what physical gender they were because their reproductive organs pointed to a boy, but also a girl? Or even vice versa. According to Julia Serano’s book Whipping Girl, these children are known as “Intersex”, which is a term used to describe individuals who are “born with a reproductive or sexual anatomy that does not fit the typical definitions of male or female” (25). As an analogy, think of gender as a spectrum of color, where one color is "female" and another is "male." "Intersexed" would then appear to any shade of color in between.
THERE’s much more to sex than the genitals, seeing someone bare or even the most common goal of sex – an orgasm. Sex experts will tell you that sex is intimacy; it is opening yourselves to spiritual mingling, exposing and exploring your sexual desires. But these are sometimes hindered by social constructions of sexual behaviour – the taboos, the myths and misinformation can sometimes make something as natural as sex very complex.
Love conquers everything. Or at least, that’s what Romeo and Juliet thought. But marriage and love can be complicated, and some argue that marrying someone who shares your religious beliefs can make things much easier. Is having the same religious and spiritual beliefs part of criteria many people use when seeking a marriage partner? It is strongly felt that the person they are going to marry should have the same traditions and customs, and intensity of belief as they themselves do. For them, it is an imperative part of marriage. A correlation exists between religious shared beliefs in marriage and marital satisfaction, although the nature of the relationship is not certain. History says that religion starts wars. If that is true, what will it do to a dual-religion marriage? This paper will discuss people’s views on why it is actually a major criterion to have a partner that has the same religious beliefs.
...ole does it play in religion? Well, it has become apparent to me that sex in fact is much more than physical actions. As was mentioned, yes sometimes sex can be just pure meaningless sex. Even sometimes when people recognize the true meaning behind sex and understand the deepness it represents but chose to ignore it to engage in just physical actions it becomes meaningless sex. However, it is for those times of strong spiritual connection between couples that makes sex important. In some cases sex is just pure sex. In other cases, sex is the basis of religion, the ultimate meaning of love, the binding of two flesh that become one, and the bringing of a couple to a higher level of spirituality in their relationship. Sex is deeper than just physical actions, sex does have an important role in religion, and sex does have a strong and deep effect on spirituality.
The question fundamental to the philosophy of sex is the question probing into the nature of sexual activity. What is sex? Many have postulated on the subject, but have only further clouded the waters surrounding the subject. There are a multitude of philosophical answers addressing the question of sex ranging from the natural to the phenomenological to everywhere in between. It is essential to the discussion that a proper definition of sex be established before addressing any other issues. I plan to establish a proper definition of sex with an account of sexual perversion and then continue on discussing the nature of cybersex, infidelity, and love.
Sex education should be increased in schools. Nearly one million women under the age of 20 get pregnant each year. That means 2800 women get pregnant each day. If students are educated about the effects sex has on their lives, it lessens their chance of having children at an early age. Knowledge about sex can also lessen the chance of kids receiving STDS.
