When people hear the word “racecar” they think of Nascar. People think of Nascar because it is the most popular form of racing in America. There are many different types of tracks such as oval, eight shaped, and straight lines. Throughout history race cars have been built in garages. Even today some drivers build their own racecars. Race cars provide much more speed and safety than the average street car.
Safety is the most important aspect of a racecar. The most underestimated part of a race car is the roll cage. Roll cages are used to support the top of the car. They are also put on the sides to protect the driver from a side impact. A roll cage should be made up of rounded pipe. This pipe should be as smooth as possible. Roll cages are smooth because if the driver hits the piping, they would not suffer as much pain as if it were coarse. Some impacts are hard enough that the driver could suffer excruciating pain by hitting a sharp roll cage, potentially cutting or impaling themselves. Most race cars have larger engines than civilian cars. Because of the size difference, the engine is much louder. When standing next to a race car the noise is almost deafening. Most street cars have exhausts that reduce sound. Racers do not have an exhaust on their car to increase power. Race cars use different types of fuel such as normal gasoline or racing fuel. Racing fuel is made of high octane alcohol and has a very strong smell. If a person inhales a big enough whiff of it, they would pass out instantly. Racing fuel also burns very fine and emits much more heat. When burning normal gasoline, the gas emits a bright orange flame, while racing fuel emits an invisible flame. It offers many options from a car/truck to a high performance race car. I liked the vehicle so much I bought a 1970 SS El Camino of my own and I have been restoring it for 2 years now. My plan is to get it back onto the drag strip and race. I kept the G body and a lot of stock parts, but the rear end and the heads and valve covers.
The green flag drops on the first race in The National Dirt Racing Association(NDRA). It doesn’t matter where people go, on some little road in a small town, people will find a small dirt track. The speedways are mostly always located in city areas where a large amount of people live. After a weekend of racing the teams head to the shop to fix the car up again. Despite the fact, that racing had been around since before 1978; whenever Mr. Robert Smawley introduced NDRA, and later Mr. Bill France introduced NASCAR, more people paid attention to the sport of racing.

This means that it will keep the passenger inside the car instead of flying out and getting injured. The airbags are made out of bubble wrap. The bubble wrap will have a huge impact on the area of the passenger. It is like a soft cushion. This protects the passenger from hitting the passenger. The passenger will get hurt by the airbag, but not as much without one. If there wasn’t an airbag in a car, people would be getting into a second collision. A second collision is where the body hits the car. That is the whole point of an airbag. The brakes are made out of cotton balls. People who have participated in racing for the past century, have never been universally accepted as athletes. The drivers, especially those in the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR) prove this misconception as incorrect with their intense training and stellar performances. Drivers on social media, assert that they are athletes, contradicting other sports stars who insist that they are not. The drivers in NASCAR and all forms of racing deserve to be given the respect of their fellow athletes in other sports. NASCAR drivers are seasoned athletes because of their training and tough race conditions that they encounter every week on the track.
NASCAR is extremely competitive. For one, you have to qualify for each race. Qualifying is where you have to get the fastest time to start in a position (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.). Whoever has the fastest time will get to start in first. Whoever gets the slowest time starts in 43rd. This makes it competitive because you have to compete and push the car so that you can get the fastest time and start in first. Or there is the “Chase.” The Chase is made up of the NASCAR leaders. In order to have a fast and efficient car all these things I have discussed need to be taken into consideration. A fast car should be designed with aerodynamic surfaces for a balance of maximum production of downforce and minimum drag creating surfaces. It should have as small an engine as possible to reduce mass and reduce the necessary size of the frontal area, but a large enough engine to be able to produce enough horsepower to be able to create more force than the resistance the car faces to accelerate and enough to balance with those forces at high speeds. The tires should be wide enough for fast acceleration and good cornering but not so wide it creates large amounts of rolling resistance. Your overall best example of such a car would be formula one races or Indy cars because they have to have good handling, fast acceleration and reach and maintain high speeds.
