Proctoring is invigilating students taking an exam. A proctor is someone with high ethical and moral standards whose duty or job is to make sure that student or students he/she is monitoring during the written examination is/are respecting examination rules and is/are not cheating.

UoPeople requires proctored exams to ensure quality and integrity of the examination process in particular and the academic quality and integrity of the study program and the University as a whole as well as to preserve UoPeople’s Code of conduct and UoPeople’s reputation and recognition.

Proctoring gives tangible value to the earned grade for the course and guarantees that the grade is honest proof of student’s own knowledge and of course ensures that the earned degree will be taken seriously and will be respected and accepted on the labor …show more content…

Then I need to tick required box stating I confirm that chosen proctor meets all the UoPeople's proctor's criteria and click the last arrow next to the "Add a proctor to this course".
By doing so, the system will send an email to my chosen proctor who needs so confirm the request to be my proctor. After he/she confirms the request, I will get an email about it and proctor status in my course registration will indicate that proctor is active.

When the time comes I intend to chose librarian to serve as my proctor or local official.
I support the proctored exams and strongly believe that going through that kind of examination process (compared to non proctored ones) earned grade and diploma (at the end of my studies) will have greater value. After investing so much time and energy and money, I need to have something worthy to show
